Unconventional theories ranked by how valid I think they are
If you were forced to believe one of these theories, which one?
reddit.comMangleSpiritBox: Why MangleBite works.
For the majority of the time that FNaF theories have existed, the consensus for a looooong time was that Mangle was the one who committed the bite of 87. Now, however, it’s been challenged, by WitheredFoxyBite, an alternative theory (which in my knowledge) got super popular in FNaF YouTube.
The point of this post is me explaining WHY MangleBite makes sense, along with explaining everything about Mangle and why they’re so different.
1, Mangle’s “voice” :
In FNaF 2, Mangle has no discernible voice, no breathy moans, just radio static and chattering. My belief, however, is that this chattering is actually telling us a lot about Mangle, along with the supernatural of the FNaF universe.
In typical paranormal investigation, there’s a device called a “Spirit Box”. A spirit box is a device that rapidly switches between many different AM and FM radio frequencies, creating white noise, which is believed to be manipulated by spirits in order to speak through it. Now, how does this relate to FNaF? Well, SOTM tells us exactly how.
“Edwin: Recording... Test. Test. Levels are good. This is where I heard it. It's her, or someone that sounds like her. Set frequency to 4625...Radio: (Static) Edwin: Hello. Hello? Is anyone there? Over. Radio: (Static) Edwin: Say something. It's me, Edwin. Over. Radio: (Static)Fiona: That's great, honey, but you're missing the party”
( should note, 4625 is a real radio frequency called the buzzer, which is related to Cold War era Soviet military communications)
In the basement, during SOTM, this voice log exists and is called “frequency”. This is telling us that spirits of people CAN and will communicate and exist through these wavelengths.
So, Mangle’s radio static and chattering sounds far more interesting now, right? Especially when you can make Out vague words and sounds in it…
2, Mangle did the bite:
I am suggesting that Mangle did the bite of 87, and the reason is because of BV being a spirit within the FNaF 2 location. There’s many, many, many connections between the FNaF 4 minigames and FNaF 2. Essentially, BV, and his memory/spirit, caused Mangle to carry out the bite, because Mangle is the only one who is able to be connected to BV in that way.
This also explains why Mangle appears as a full animatronic in the minigames, as opposed to the others which aren’t. Mangle is the only animatronic in which BV is cognitive of being one.
Why are they broken, however?…
3, the DCI also affected Mangle:
Mangle is notably the only toy animatronic that moves in the SAVETHEM minigame, which should be impossible, unless Mangle is especially sensitive to spirits, which backs up why they just move back and forth, aimlessly, different people taking control of Mangle.
This is backed up by Special Delivery, along with UCN, Mangle speaks in various different sounding voices, which is representative of the spirits that have / are in control of said animatronic.
This also explains how the DCI kids move on, their connection with Mangle would lead to them also being saved, with no shenanigans needs.
This ALSO would explain why Mangle is violent towards Jeremy, because the DCI kids were murdered by a security guard, William.
4, the TOYSNHK mention:
This theory also explains why Mangle knows about TOYSNHK in UCN, naturally, an animatronic that has constantly been connected to said spiritual plane, would know which spirit was behind UCN, and would know that they’re always watching, because TOYSNHK is evidently not hidden to Mangle.
5, conclusion:
Thanks for reading, this was more of a fun thought experiment for me, because I like the more supernatural side of FNaF, and being able to link a character to it, in which said connection can explain stuff, I love it. I’m sure there’s some obscure line that ruins this, but I do not care too too much.
Why is Mangle so prevalent in everything?
Okay, this might sound like I’m losing it, but seriously, Mangle appears in so many different things and even does stuff that is contradictory.
Mangle shouldn’t be in the FNaF 4 end of night minigames, but they are, and they are the only FNaF 2 analog that is still visually and animatronic in said minigames.
Mangle is a part of setting up happiest day, mangle replaces foxy in the Halloween update of FNaF 4, Mangle has a shadow variant, mangle is one of the animatronics that speaks about TOYNSHK, for really no reason, as most TOYSNHK candidates are unrelated to Mangle.
It just shoots off alarm bells, more than Mangle just being the biter of 87. Mangle has some important role, one that somehow can be a part of someone’s memories.
Potential DavidTOYSNHK evidence
Orville elephant implies that TOYSNHK was burned multiple times by different people.
“He tried to release us”
^ Henry burning them in FFPS
“No matter how many times they burn us”
^ implies that TOYSNHK was burned multiple times, by separate people.
I feel this can’t be FNaF 3, because there is no overt haunted animatronics that exist in the FNaF 3 location, and because it implies multiple times, that means it can’t be referring to only FFPS.
We know MCM burned, perhaps David (as TOYSNHK) could refer to this.
Which MatPat theory was the worst he made / popularized?
reddit.comIt’s really odd that everything ties back to MCM. Why?
I see people talk about stuff like FazBurger, and FateFiona, but seriously, everything ties back to MCM and the Murray’s.
The Sister Location Bunker is tied to MCM.
The Afton house IS the Murray house.
The FFPS location was built on top of MCM.
The Pizzaplex was built on top of MCM.
I don’t see any other explanation for this other than something like FateFiona. Edwin Murray and the mimic are supremely important to the entire timeline, it’s apparent in the new games, this stuff runs super deep. these two eras of FNaF lore are connected, much to the chagrin of the theorist community. I’ve been radicalized, I think for a fact, that the story is repeating because of something related to MCM, maybe F10N4, maybe M2, GodDavid, something.
Seriously, why is it so popular to think M1 killed David?
Seriously, it bothers me, the games quite literally never imply M1 killed David, actually, it’s more implied that David attached to M1.
If we play Moon.exe from the perspective of M2, then the literal interpretation is that M1 purged David from its self, and then attached David to M2 (the owl mask being given to the player character).
I also wonder when these people think Moon.exe happens, because logistically, it should only occur after David dies.
Plus, in the tales continuity, David was ran over, and the games hint at that exact thing literally everywhere. Hell, the white Tiger literally quotes something M1 said like a few minutes at most before or after David died. The White Tiger literally quotes Edwin too, stuff Edwin only said to M2.
What popular theories do you simply not understand why people believe?
Me first, CassidyPuppet
Glamrock Freddy could parallel the Fredbear Plush.
don't take this super duper seriously.
I just feel like there HAS to be a deeper meaning behind David and BV having the same room and toys.
I just can’t itch the idea of this meaning something, beyond William just being lazy and haphazardly giving BV David’s shit, especially when David’s toys are evidently important and toys come up again and again in regards to BV, especially with the purple telephone question in the logbook.
I’m not gonna cry GodDavid, but these things are meaningful and purposeful, they want us to see this obviously connection and parallel, there’s something deeper with BV and David.
What do you guys think the Glamrock animatronics are?
Are they entirety AI? Are they linked to the Mimic program? Are some haunted? Do they act like game characters, but not haunted by them?
They’re so odd to me, because I don’t really see them ever theorized about, or ever even talked about anymore. I hope Steelwool hasn’t dropped the ball or anything on making them actually important.
Under Charlie87, which interpretation of MM is the best?
I’ve been torn recently, especially after the whole FLAF stuff
What characters do each Animatronic represent
I am working on a theory, and this is a big part of it.
Connections such as:
Spring Bonnie -> William
Foxy -> Micheal
Etc…
