I found this faux fur fabric at the Dollar Tree and thought I could use it to sew a little brown cat plush. It was a pretty small piece of fabric but I wanted to make him tiny anyway so I figured it would be enough for that.
After sewing him together and turning him right-side-out, I realized my mistake. The furry fabric made his nubby little arms, legs, and ears disappear completely. I also realized at that moment that the only safety eyes I had were half the size of his head.
I showed my partner and mentioned I was just gonna throw it out and try again, but they wouldn't let me. They literally begged me to finish him so they could keep him.
So I finished stuffing him (his body is filled with plastic pellets), added his huge eyes, & sewed him up. And thus, Spooder was born! He looks like a legless spider or a bat without wings, nothing like what I set out to make, but strangely adorable & loveable anyway. :)
I thrifted this Canon Powershot A520 for $2!! It works great other than the clock battery needing to be replaced. Still learning all of the settings/features. Ofc one of the first photos I took is of my cat Tulip (edited in Lightroom).
Found her at a bookstore & immediately fell in love! Any name ideas?? :)
Edit: her name is Honey!! 💛
I knitted him this little shirt yesterday, he is loving it 💖
