Accidentally messed up headlight alignment, how much does Tesla charge to recalibrate?

I was poking around in the settings menu out of curiosity and opened the manual headlight adjustment option. I didn't mean to change anything and don't think I touched the scroll wheel, but somehow my headlights ended up aimed too low. I tried to fix it myself by scrolling back up, but now the alignment is off in a different way.

I've requested a service appointment to have Tesla recalibrate them back to factory settings, but I have no idea what to expect cost-wise. Has anyone had this done before? What did they charge you?

Mail app showing “Screen Recording” even though I never gave permission, am I hacked or is this a macOS bug?

Hi everyone,

I’m a bit worried and wanted to ask if anyone has seen this before.

On my Mac, I keep seeing the privacy indicator/dot pop up sometimes, and when I check the privacy notification area, it shows Mail → Screen Recording. The confusing part is that I never gave Apple Mail permission to record my screen.

I already checked:

System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording / Screen & System Audio Recording

Mail is not listed there and I don’t see any permission enabled for Mail. I also checked other privacy options and don’t see Mail having screen recording access.

So my questions are:

  1. Is this a known macOS bug or privacy-indicator glitch?
  2. Can Apple Mail show “Screen Recording” without actually having screen recording permission?
  3. Could this be related to system audio recording, screen sharing, AirPlay, or some background service?
  4. Should I be worried that someone is spying on me or that my Mac is hacked?
  5. What logs or settings should I check to confirm what app/process is actually triggering this?

I’m attaching a screenshot. I just want to make sure I’m not missing something serious, because seeing “Mail” and “Screen Recording” together is really concerning when I never approved it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Tesla FSD keeps going 40 mph in a 30 mph residential area. Anyone else seeing this?

I recently got my first traffic ticket in the U.S. while using Tesla FSD Supervised in a residential neighborhood.
The road is a 30 mph residential street, but on one specific stretch/lane, my car repeatedly tries to go around 40 mph while FSD is engaged. I have noticed this happening more than once on the same part of the road. This time, I got cited for 41 mph in a 30 mph zone.
I understand that FSD is supervised and that the driver is ultimately responsible for monitoring speed and taking over. I’m not trying to avoid responsibility. I’m just trying to understand whether this is a known FSD behavior where the car incorrectly chooses a higher speed limit on certain local roads.
A few questions:
Has anyone else seen FSD consistently choose 40 mph in a 30 mph residential zone?
Is this usually caused by map data, vision/sign recognition, or speed profile settings?
What is the best way to report this to Tesla so the map/speed behavior gets corrected?
Should I avoid using FSD on that stretch completely until it is fixed?
Is there any setting that makes FSD less aggressive about speed on residential streets?
I have dashcam footage showing the route and the car behavior, but I’m not posting it publicly because of personal/location details.
For now, I’m planning to be more careful and manually control speed in neighborhoods, but I wanted to ask if other Tesla owners have experienced the same thing.

Texas speeding citation says 41 in a 30, but city ordinance shows road is 35 mph. what should I do?

Hi everyone,

I got my first speeding citation in Texas / the U.S. in The Colony, TX. The ticket says I was going **41 mph in a 30 mph zone** on **6500 Morning Star Dr**.

Here’s the issue: I checked the City of The Colony speed-limit ordinance, and it appears to list:

**Morning Star Drive — From State Highway 121 Southbound frontage road to Memorial Drive — 35 mph**

I also have dashcam footage from the route, and I do not see a 30 mph speed-limit sign after the turn. My citation also says no school zone, no construction zone, and no temporary/construction condition.

I want to ask whether I should request the court/prosecutor to review the posted speed limit first.

My questions:

  1. If the ordinance says that section is 35 mph, can the citation be corrected from **41 in a 30** to **41 in a 35**?
  2. Could this be grounds for dismissal, or would they likely just amend/reduce it?
  3. Should I email the court/prosecutor with the ordinance screenshot and dashcam evidence before accepting Deferred Disposition?
  4. Is there any downside to asking for review before choosing Deferred Disposition?

I’m not trying to ignore the ticket. I just want to handle it correctly and avoid a conviction on my record. Any advice from people who have dealt with Texas traffic citations would be appreciated.
