Hey all,

I’m being driven crazy by constant sale-advertising comments that are on “my” empty bundles, from sellers whose closets I don’t even have any likes in??

When I go to my bundles and sort by empty, it says there aren’t any.

Do I have to block every person who comments on non-existent empty bundles to get this to stop?

I’m sure the Q3 numbers may look a bit different, but this is awesome news!

Hi everyone!

My husband and I will be hiking sections of the Nakasendo in late September/early October.

Last time we were in Japan it was the same time of year, and the weather was amazing. Cool, but not cold.

I assume it will be cooler where there is some elevation, but I’m wondering how to pack for the weather. I’m also wondering how to travel with our luggage.

Questions:

1. We will each have a 65L backpack, but should I also bring a suitcase that we can put a lot of our stuff in to forward between cities? With the exception of one guesthouse in Magome, we’ll be staying in hotels, but we’ll need enough stuff with us for approximately 6 days without hitting any big towns. As far as I’m aware, luggage forwarding is typically only available between bigger cities?

2. Could we forward our luggage from Tokyo to Hiroshima, even if we won’t arrive in Hiroshima for another 6 days? Will our hotel hold our luggage for that long?

3. Should we just pack as light as possible and carry everything in our packs? We’re relatively fit/strong, and have time to train for it if necessary.

4. What are the most extreme temperatures (highs & lows) we should pack for at that time of year, given we’ll be hiking the Usui Pass and Torii Pass, among other routes?

Hi folks!

I’m realizing my kids are growing up before my eyes, and as the family “photographer”, I’m in barely any photos other than the selfies I take with my kids. They’re 10 & 7, and for the moment still love being around us and aren’t afraid to hug us in public; I know our time in this stage is short - haha.

Having lost my mom suddenly last year at 67, I also know how precious nice family photos can be down the road.

I’d love to do an outdoor session sometime this summer/autumn. My family loves to be silly, so someone chill who likes to take candid snaps would be great (obviously a few posed ones are on the list too).

Does anyone have recommendations for a good family photographer in the Ottawa area?

Hi everyone,

We became the owners of an in-ground saltwater pool in 2023. It was installed in ‘93, but other than needing a new liner and the steps looking a bit aged, they had taken pretty good care of it.

We’ve had HB pools taking care of things since then, mostly since the previous owners had used them and seemed happy.

However, we got a quote from them to replace the liner and re-do the steps, and it came to $25k. It’s not a giant pool… 16x30. They said the steps would require relocation because the size we had were no longer manufactured.

We got other quotes, and ended up paying $10k total to have the steps professionally refinished and the new liner installed.

Now, I have a bad taste in my mouth from HB and I’m looking for another regular pool maintenance company.

We’d want weekly cleaning, chemical maintenance, etc., and opening/closing including safety cover at each end of the season. Nothing crazy.
