Not the kind of guy who plans but this is something I want to do. A surprise anniversary party is the last thing my partner will be expecting so I think it will be kind of fun. I have sorted food (a caterer friend will cover it) and decor (hired a guy who will decorate home when she will be at office). The thing I am struggling with is invitations. How do I invite people she will like having over? To me, it seems kind of awkward asking people to come over to a 'surprise party'. Should I send Whatsapp messages? Or call and explain what's happening? Also need advice on a gift. She has nice bags, watches, perfumes, and the basics. What else can I get her without having to rob a bank? Drop some thoughts, guys.

I run a marketing agency and I have so far worked with 2 China based companies.
