[FREE] Looking for someone to edit a cinematic trailer for my completed indie FPS game

Hey! I'm looking for a video editor who'd be interested in making a cinematic trailer for my indie FPS game, Night Ledger: Black Meridian.

The game itself is already made. I can provide the gameplay footage, a trailer reference, the general direction/sequence I have in mind, and the song (the music is already fixed).

I'm pretty new to trailer making, so I'm also looking for someone who can bring their own ideas, suggest improvements, and tell me when something I've planned simply won't work 😅 Fixed length: Under 2minutes

This is an unpaid/portfolio collaboration, so I completely understand if it's not for everyone. You'll be properly credited and you're welcome to use the finished trailer in your portfolio.

Discord: https://discord.gg/dFr8QtNBk8

If interested, please DM me with something you've edited before. It doesn't have to be professional work.

Gaming community + indie FPS devlogs + our own Agentic AI economy game

We’re building a gaming community around our indie studio and our upcoming free-to-play cinematic FPS campaign, Black Meridian.

You’ll find:

game dev updates, screenshots and behind-the-scenes posts

discussions around FPS games and indie development

community events

our custom Agentic AI bot, which also acts as the Game Master for a persistent server economy game

The economy game has 2 rival alliances. You pick one, earn money by doing jobs, take part in elections, form a government, build your alliance’s economy and compete with the other side through diplomacy, strategy and wars. Basically a small geopolitical sandbox living inside Discord, because apparently ordinary server currency wasn’t complicated enough. 😭

Everything is free.

[Hobby] Looking for people to join our 90% finished cinematic FPS

We’re making Black Meridian, a free-to-play cinematic FPS campaign in Godot, and the game is now around 90% finished.

We’re looking for anyone who wants to gain some experience, contribute to an actual playable project, help with development or marketing, make friends with like-minded people, or even just hang out and follow the production. Beginners are welcome too. This is a hobby/unpaid project, so there’s no pressure to treat it like a second job 😭

Looking for volunteer voice actors for an indie cinematic FPS

I’m looking for a few voice actors for Black Meridian, a story-driven FPS currently being built in Godot.

We need voices for military/campaign characters, mostly short cinematic and mission dialogue. Beginners are completely fine. I care more about believable delivery and clear audio than having a professional demo reel.

It’s currently unpaid/hobby, with proper in-game + storefront credit.

Our Godot FPS finally reached its first playable beta — Mission 1 is live

After a lot of building, breaking and rebuilding, Black Meridian: Night Ledger has reached its first public beta 😅

It’s a cinematic FPS made in Godot, and Mission 1 is now playable end-to-end. I’m mainly looking for feedback on movement, gunplay, AI, performance, bugs and controller support.

To test it:

HQ launcher:

https://vedant-game-studios.itch.io/black-meridian-hq

Mission 1 download:

https://vedant-game-studios.itch.io/night-ledger

Feedback/bug reports:

https://discord.gg/48h4zJVrw

Create/login to a BM account in the launcher, unzip Mission 1, then go to Missions → Mission 1 → choose difficulty → Start.

Keyboard works, but controller testing is especially useful if you have one. Its unpaid playtest.

[Hobby] First gameplay look at our cinematic FPS in Godot — looking for a few more devs

We’ve been working on Black Meridian, a story-driven cinematic FPS in Godot, and I finally have a proper walkthrough of our Mission 1 safehouse instead of just screenshots 😅

The core movement, weapons and basic enemy gameplay are already working. Right now most of the work is going into finishing the map, mission scripting and polishing everything around it.

Our team already has programmers, artists, audio people, voice actors and testers, but we could especially use:

- Godot programmers

- Level/environment designers

- 3D animators

- Other developers/artists are welcome too if the project interests you

This video is still very much a work-in-progress build, but hopefully it gives a better idea of what we’re actually making.

Built this safehouse second floor in ~4 hours in Godot — thoughts on the environment?

Spent around 4 hours building and dressing the second floor of our safehouse for Black Meridian, a cinematic FPS we’re making in Godot.

Most of the core gameplay is already working, so right now we’re pushing hard on the environments and trying to make each room feel believable rather than just filled with random props.

Still needs another lighting/detail pass, but I’m pretty happy with how quickly this floor came together.

Would love some honest feedback on the atmosphere, lighting and which room looks strongest.

Anyone interested in experimenting with community-hosted cloud gaming nodes?

I’ve been building Vedant Cloud, a hobby cloud gaming project. The core software is at a stage where we can properly test it, but right now our biggest bottleneck is server hardware.

I’d like to experiment with a more distributed model where people can contribute spare PCs/servers or eventually self-host a node themselves, rather than everything running from one central machine.

Still very experimental, but if you’re into self-hosting, Linux, networking or just have spare hardware doing nothing, you might enjoy working on it with us.

DM me if interested and I’ll send the technical details/current setup.

Looking for people with spare hardware who want to help test a community cloud gaming project

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a hobby project called Vedant Cloud, basically an experimental cloud gaming platform. The software and testing side has reached a point where it’s ready for larger testing, but our biggest limitation now is pretty simple: we don’t have enough server hardware 😅

I’m looking for people who might have an unused PC, old gaming rig, laptop, mini PC, server, or even a Raspberry Pi and would be interested in contributing to the infrastructure/testing side of the project.

This doesn’t necessarily mean physically giving us your hardware. One thing I’d really like to experiment with is people hosting their own machines as community nodes, while we work out the networking, management, security and resource allocation around them.

For actual cloud gaming, machines with decent x86 hardware and especially a GPU are obviously the most useful. Smaller devices like Raspberry Pis could still be useful for monitoring, control services and other infrastructure experiments.

This is currently a hobby/community project, not a paid service, and I’m mainly looking for people who enjoy servers, networking, Linux/self-hosting or simply have hardware collecting dust and want to do something interesting with it.

If you're interested, please DM me. I can share the detailed architecture, current state of the project, screenshots/testing setup, and what kind of contribution would actually be useful.

Making a free to play cinematic FPS campaign in GODOT !

Working on the environments for our cinematic FPS in Godot. Slowly starting to feel like an actual game 😅

We’ve been working on Black Meridian, a story-driven cinematic FPS made in Godot.

Most of the core gameplay is already in place, so lately a lot of our time has been going into actually building and dressing the environments. These are some recent shots from the maps we’re working on.

Still plenty to improve with lighting, detailing and overall atmosphere, but compared to where this started, it’s finally beginning to look like the game we had in mind.

Would genuinely like to know what stands out to you guys, good or bad. Especially anything that immediately looks too empty, repetitive or “game asset-ish.”

[HOBBY] Looking for Godot programmers + level designers for a cinematic FPS project

Hey, we’re a small indie team working on a story-driven FPS campaign in Godot, inspired by the kind of cinematic mission structure you’d see in games like Modern Warfare, but built on an indie scale. We already have a playable first mission in development, cutscenes, briefing sequences, UI, voice actors, audio people, artists, testers, and a few programmers onboard. Right now the biggest help we need is:

  • Godot programmers, especially gameplay/AI/systems people
  • Level designers / environment people
  • Anyone else who thinks they can genuinely contribute: 2D/3D art, audio, animation, writing, testing, marketing, etc.

This is currently a collaborative indie project, not a salaried studio position. We’re trying to actually build something substantial rather than another “we have an idea, join our Discord” project. There is already real work being done and progress to show. Also, you don’t need to join the dev team to be in the server. If you just want to follow development, give feedback, play builds later, or hang out with the team, that’s completely fine too.

[HOBBY] Godot Programmers, Animation Artists & Level Designer Needed for Tactical FPS

We’re building Black Meridian, a story-driven tactical CQB FPS in Godot, and we’re looking for a few more people to join our growing indie team.

The project is already in active development, not just a concept. Our first mission, Night Ledger, includes indoor CQB gameplay, enemy AI, NVG mechanics, cinematics, voice acting, weapon systems, controller support, mission scripting, and other core systems currently being developed.

We’re specifically looking for:

Godot Programmers

GDScript experience preferred

Gameplay systems

Enemy/teammate AI

Checkpoints and save systems

UI/pause menus

Weapon systems and effects

Optimization and general gameplay programming

3D Animation Artists

Character animation

Tactical movement

Rifle handling

Reloading/firing animations

CQB movement and room-entry animations

Animation cleanup/retargeting

Blender + Mixamo/Rokoko experience is useful

Level Designer

Interior CQB environments

Enemy/player encounter placement

Lighting and atmosphere

Environmental storytelling

Horror/tension pacing

Optimization and gameplay flow

The game aims for a cinematic tactical-horror atmosphere, with realistic CQB, dark environments, NVGs, scripted tension, and a story-driven campaign.

This is currently a hobby/unpaid collaboration. There is no salary or guaranteed revenue share at this stage. Contributors will receive proper project credits and can use their work in their portfolio where appropriate.

We already have developers, artists, writers, audio contributors, voice talent, and other members working together remotely, so we’re mainly looking for people who genuinely want to build something over time rather than disappear after downloading the project once. 😑

You do not need to be a professional. If you have usable skills, are willing to learn, communicate reasonably, and can contribute consistently, you’re welcome to introduce yourself.

Join the Discord: https://discord.gg/YZRCgSKNP

When joining, mention what role you’re interested in and share any previous work, GitHub, portfolio, animations, levels, or projects if you have them.

The Last Message Behind Door Seventeen

At 2:17 a.m., Mara Vale received an automated distress call from Northlight Relay Station.

The transmission contained no voice, only seven bursts of static followed by a long mechanical tone.

Her brother Elias was the station’s cryptographer. By the time Mara arrived, every room was empty.

Every room except Room 17.

Its steel door was locked from the inside.

On Elias’s desk, Mara found three encrypted messages and a handwritten sentence:

«You already know how I walk.»

Mara remembered the mazes Elias drew when they were children. He always began in the upper-left corner, followed the outside wall clockwise, and continued inward until he reached the centre.

The first message was carved into the desk:

O R P H E

O L U M U

C W N N S

D O D S K

A E R Y E

Below it was another note:

«When Elias used a word as a key, he placed it above the columns and ranked its letters in alphabetical order.

He always read downward before returning to the beginning.»

The second message consisted of seven groups:

LIEUX ARNEE FPIKD NEEYC IHGEI IVEYX CSRRX

Finally, the station terminal displayed one repeating transmission:

QUIYL IORSN UCDLV LIPFG FMKRX BVJRE GVGBR KEMTG

SJZCV UGQSL PBRVQ XSJVL GWQVW YMCQB GIRVL PQBJI

XUGCV

From behind Room 17, Mara heard her brother’s voice.

“Mara,” it whispered. “Open the door.”

But Elias had once told her:

«A name is useful because it can repeat long after its owner is gone.»

What does the final transmission say?

Please explain all three stages of the solution.

The Number That Passes Ten Tests

I am thinking of a 10-digit number that uses each digit from **0 to 9 exactly once**.

Starting from the left:

* The number formed by the first **1 digit** is divisible by 1. * The number formed by the first **2 digits** is divisible by 2. * The number formed by the first **3 digits** is divisible by 3. * This pattern continues. * The number formed by the first **10 digits** is divisible by 10.

For example, if the number begins with `abcd...`, then:

* `ab` must be divisible by 2, * `abc` must be divisible by 3, * `abcd` must be divisible by 4,

and so on.

**What is the number?**

Bonus challenge: Find it using divisibility rules and logical elimination rather than checking every permutation with code.

Can you crack this 4-digit vault code?

Crack the 4-Digit Vault Code 🔐

A vault is protected by a four-digit code.

Rules:

- No digit is repeated.

- Each clue states the exact number of correct digits.

- A “correct position” means the digit is in the right place.

- A “wrong position” means the digit belongs in the code but is misplaced.

Clues:

6058

Exactly 1 digit is correct and in the correct position.

Exactly 1 other digit is correct but in the wrong position.

1967

Exactly 1 digit is correct but in the wrong position.

4013

Exactly 1 digit is correct and in the correct position.

5067

Exactly 2 digits are correct and in the correct positions.

Exactly 1 other digit is correct but in the wrong position.

What is the vault code?

Bonus points if you explain your reasoning instead of using a calculator.

The selected person will initially receive limited moderator permissions. Higher permissions will only be added gradually after trust is established. We will not provide ownership-level access, billing access or control over team accounts.

Applicants should be comfortable working with an international team and communicating in English.

To apply, please send:

• Your timezone

• Your age range

• Previous moderation or server-management experience

• Examples or screenshots of servers you have helped manage

• Bots you have configured before

• Approximate weekly availability

• What you would improve first in a small indie game Discord

[Hobby] Tactical FPS Team Seeking 3D Animator and Environment/Lighting Artist | Godot

Hello! We are Vedant Game Studios, a small international indie team currently developing Night Ledger, a cinematic single-player tactical FPS in Godot.

The project is inspired by story-driven military shooters and close-quarters tactical games, but it is being developed as an original fictional campaign with its own characters, factions, missions and geopolitical setting.

We currently have nine human team members, including programmers, developers, writers and two YouTube creators. The project is already in active production rather than being only an idea. We have working gameplay, an in-engine introductory sequence, campaign and briefing systems, original branding, several developed interiors and five genuine in-game screenshots.

We are currently looking for two additional collaborators.

3D Character / Gameplay Animator

We need someone interested in creating or refining animations such as:

• Tactical walking, turning and room-entry movement

• First-person weapon handling

• Reload, inspect and weapon-draw animations

• Squad gestures and idle animations

• CQB movement and cinematic character actions

• Animation cleanup, retargeting and blending

Experience with Blender, Mixamo, Godot or similar tools would be useful. Military animation experience is welcome but not mandatory. References and guidance can be provided.

3D Environment and Lighting Artist

We need someone who can help make our maps more photorealistic and atmospheric through:

• Environment composition and set dressing

• High-quality asset selection and placement

• PBR materials and texture improvements

• Interior and exterior lighting

• Fog, ambience, decals and environmental storytelling

• Performance-conscious visual improvements

• Turning functional levels into convincing cinematic locations

Experience with Godot is useful, but experience in Blender, Unreal, Unity or other 3D workflows can also transfer.

Important Terms

This is currently an unpaid hobby collaboration. There is no salary, guaranteed payment or guaranteed revenue share at this stage. Please join only if the project genuinely interests you and you would like to build portfolio experience with a committed team.

Contributors retain ownership of their pre-existing work and tools. Project-specific contributions, usage rights and credits will be discussed clearly before work begins. We will not request unpaid custom production work as an application test.

We communicate through Discord and work remotely with flexible scheduling. Consistency matters more than a large weekly time commitment. Even a few reliable hours each week can be useful.

To apply, please send:

• The role you are interested in

• Your timezone

• Your software experience

• Portfolio, screenshots, animation reel or previous work

• Approximate weekly availability

• What interests you about the project

Please message me on Reddit first. Selected applicants will receive our Discord link, current screenshots and a private gameplay overview.
