One Thing I Like About Olympics LA 28
That there are lots of events in many cities across the country. People do have the chance to see an Olympic event in San Jose, Oklahoma, San Diego, St. Louis, Ohio, Nashville, New York. If I am missing any city, please post. I think that's a positive. I was set on going to LA as I live in Nevada, but I am going to San Jose for women's soccer for now. I still may venture over to Los Angeles, but we'll see.
Everything just isn't in Los Angeles. I remember during the Atlanta Olympics in 1996 there were some soccer events in Miami for example and there were some other cities.
Are any of you planning to go to just Olympic events outside of Los Angeles besides people who are local to those cities?
What You All Aren't Factoring in Regarding the LA Tickets
The people buying tickets now are absolute diehards and are connected.
However, there are lots of people with money in Los Angeles and the USA who last minute will start thinking about going to the Olympics and the cost is not something that deters them.
Those people will be in the resale market and will add even more competition.
California is one of the biggest economies in the world.
Also, 1/2 of Americans don't have a passport and many never leave the country. Many will think this is their only chance to see the Olympics.
I didn't plan ahead for the World Cup and the prices were too high later. So, I didn't go.
I only bought two tickets during both lotteries I got a spot in, but now I am glad I didn't pass.
This will not be like other Olympics. A few people may get lucky later, but I don't think it's going to be as good as you all think.
Goodbye World Cup, hello Olympics: Los Angeles races to prepare
english.elpais.comI Found 2 Tickets That I Am Happy About
As someone who got selected for both lotteries, I am grateful, but I was disappointed when there were no tickets for water polo, beach volleyball or men's and women's basketball yesterday.
I thought there would be some water polo.
After looking through the pages, I bought tickets to San Jose women's soccer for $260 total for two matches. Tickets were $130 each. It wasn't my first choice, but I just think the resale market is going to be super competitive, and I didn't want to wait to see. I live next door to L.A. and can go any time, but I've never been to San Jose.
With that being said, how did I do? I stayed within my budget, but I didn't see anything else of equal value this morning for under $300. I like the fact that it is two matches and I like soccer too. Supposedly the stadium is only 18,000 seats, so it should be a good view.
Did Anyone Get the Second Email with the Link Today?
I have yet to receive it. Please advise. I have a time tomorrow at 4:00 PM. Second chance. Still haven't used any of my 12 tickets. Hope to buy at least 4 tomorrow.
Update: Just got it.
