The new Edifice EFK-200

The new Edifice EFK-200

I learned that Casio has recently released the 3rd generation of their Edifice automatic line (kinuha ko lang yang photo from Fratello watches website).

Now sized at a smaller 38mm with a lug-to-lug of 43.7mm (one yt video says including the male end links, it's around 47mm), this now makes it easier to wear for my small wristed bros 🤣 nasa 6.25" lang wrist ko (very flat at the top) and I think this won't look like I'm wearing a wall clock. I have a similar sized Certina DS action diver date 38mm automatic na nasa 50.5mm yung lug to to lug with male end links, and hindi naman sya mukhang malaki.

It looks to be a potential challenger to my current options Citizens Tsuyosa and the Tissot PRX for the reasonably affordable auto/mech integrated bracelet type. When I look at the dial, this particular edifice even screams "affordable Aqua Terra alternative!" (to me at least).

Yung black, the forged carbon one, is the priciest. Next is the gold tone. Then almost the same na yung remaining 3 colorways.

Tsuyosa 37mm, I can find it below the 20k range. EFK-200, nasa almost 25k bnew, 30k for the gold tone. PRX auto (35mm kasi I feel malaki na masyado yung 40mm sakin), nasa at least 30k in the second hand market.

Napapaisip lang ako kasi I was of the mindset na it doesn't make sense to buy an automatic if it's a Casio.... Kaso wala naman quartz variant tong EFK-200.

Kayo, what are your thoughts on this watch?

Another post re: Eloop and i-Stop

Before anything else, just want to say I also want to say I researched everything I could about the subject before posting this. On facebook pages, reddit, youtube, forums, etc. So it's not like I was being lazy and just posted this without my due diligence 🤣

Anyway, story time:

I bought a new EFB battery last August 2025. Installed it and drove my ND for about a few months... And the Eloop and I-Stop started flashing orange, and they still do, currently. The infotainment also has those 2 warnings. So I checked my battery and it is still good (no load/engine off = 12.45v. Engine + lights + infotainment + USB being used + aircon on max + fan on max = around 13.5v) today. Now, the battery isn't the oem from Mazda.

The reason I said that is because, I'm afraid that moght be the culprit. From what I've learned, similar issues got fixed by simply changing the battery into just getting the Mazda OEM.

Or - I'm really hoping it's not - the capacitor. I saw some videos on how to discharge it and they all noted that, if you do everything correctly, the red light indicator should die off by an hour the earliest. Mine died..just a few seconds. I don't know why that happened.

Disclaimer: have yet to visit the Mazda dealership, so this may all be for naught 😅

But anyway, again, just want to hear your thoughts.

Oh, mine's a 2016 ST with around 29k km (18k mi) on it, for what it's worth.

Thank you.

Advice on water pressure situation at our 2-storey house

Hi architects, good day po sa inyong nagbabasa nito.

SITUATION

  • Village has its own water concessionaire... Though I think subsidized ng P.W., not sure.
  • Never pa naman nawalan ng tubig yung village, or at least the phase/block where we're at.
  • 1st floor has no considerable issue about water pressure for the whole day. Minsan humihina during the day, but tolerable. I mean, you can still shower while that's happening, so this one's fine.
  • 2nd floor: absolute nothingness from 9am to 7pm, mostly. Can't use bidet, no water at the sink, never expect to take your shower here at all.
  • Just 2 people at the house: myself and an elder person.
  • No place outside the 2nd floor for any possible water tank installation (if ever needed).
  • Installation location will be at the dirty kitchen/setback, with max tank diameter of 120cm (I think).
  • Bang for the buck mindset, pero kung pwede naman makatipid without sacrificing quality, much preferred ko po yung latter.

GOAL Improve water pressure and availability on all floors, especially the upper floor 😁

QUESTIONS

  • Do I need a water tank/reservoir? Or no need?

  • If yes, should it be s.s. like Bestank, or "plastic" like Weida yata yun? What's better?

  • Given our situation, what capacity do you recommend for that tank if ever it's needed? Less than 500L? 500L? More?

  • Do I need a pressure TANK or a pressure/booster PUMP? Or both? (Isn't it illegal to install a booster pump? Or may situation lang na bawal yun?)

  • Iba pa po ba yun dun sa item na 1Hp "motor" daw (Italy or China or something) na need?

  • Can I just get the reservoir? Or kailangan in tandem sya with the pressure tank or booster? Ano yung mas magpapataas ng water pressure sa 2nd floor po namin?

  • What's a bladder tank?

  • May nakita ako na meron daw need gawin para hindi laging andar ng andar yung isang component, para hindi malakas sa kuryente. Can't remember.

  • Any other tips you'd like to add, please.

DISCLAIMER: Researched (and still currently researching) threads, posts, videos about the same issue prior to posting. Just want to have this as additional source of info. Para hindi naman ako maakusahan na lazy 🤭

Thank you.

Where can I find Mazda MX-5 ND parts in Banawe?

Specifically the power window motor and/or the power window regulator (left/driver side). Maybe thr whole power window mechanism, just in case those two can't be bought separately.

I'm just looking for an alternative since Mazda quoted me for just the power window motor, a price that is already too expensive for my wallet 😅

Thank you, MazdaPH community.
