Android - Every manually moved file gets the "permission denied errn 13" error

Hi!

Duckstation on android is giving me quite the headache...

I'm using a retroid pocket classic(android 14).

The issue I'm having at the moment is that every file I move from the microsd or elsewhere to the android data folder gives me the errn 13 permission denied message.

Firstly I was trying to add shaders to the shader folder. Since you can't copy files to the android folder using mixexplorer or the standard files app I transfered the files with the device connected to pc.

When using the added shader in duckstation it can't load/compile the shader (permission denied errn 13).

Now I played on my steamdeck I tried transfering the memory card and save state to the retroid via device connected to pc. When loading the game it says that it can't load the memory card with another permission denied errn 13.

I know that the android version has the import/export feature, but it also doesn't work.

When selecting import from folder it asks for permition, I allow, but it says "no importable files found"

HELP!

Android is a pain. How do you add access permitions to duckstation so It can read the shaders folder?

Hi!

The standard folder structure places the shader folder inside the android data folder.

That means that you can't use any shaders due to duckstation not having permission to acess the folder.

Is there any way to fix this?

Upgrade to a wifi 6(not 6e) router or buy a link cable?

Hi!

I have a router that only goes to 800mbps.

It can't stream higher than 200mbps, and even on 200mbps I experience head movement delay and skipped frames, especially with hvec.

I'm short on money so I can't spend much money.

Now that virtual desktop supports streaming via usb, would it be better to buy a link cable(and latter a cable management system) or to buy a cheapish wifi 6(2400mbps and not 6e) router?

Luke Ross mod not working in KCD2 1.5?

Hi!

I tried installing the mod on the 1.5 version of the game, but on launch it says version unsupported.
Which is the latest version supported by the mod? Do you just launch the .exe, or do you need to launch it through steamvr?

Issues with VPX Launcher

Hi! I'm new to the launcher.
I have some questions and I'm also experiencing some bugs.

Bug #1 sometimes when changing table the screen with turn black, and you can't quit or do anything, the only solution I've found was to remove the vpx loading.exe

Bug #2 It appears that it isn't recognizing some tables in the folder, like big trouble in little china, is there anyway to fix it?

Bug #3 Some tables appear as duplicates, sometimes as a different table(like fathom appearing as a duplicate as a frankentein table), anyway to fix this too?

Bug #4(not a launcher bug) With some tables I'm getting this visual glitch where bright reflection areas appear as black/dark blue, and some times they expand making the table unplayable.

And finally, how do you add like cabs for unsurpported tables, or match table that have them but aren't appearing?

Best VR Tables with detailed 3d models?

Hi!
I just finished setting up vpx launcher for playing in VR.
A major thing that I noticed with VR in general, is that 2d games rely a lot in 2d textures with normal maps to make things look 3d while saving performance. But VR breaks this illusion making things look flat/weird. For things to look good in VR the models need to have actual geometry instead of relying on textures.
From the 20 tables I setup so far, the most impressive one in VR is Scared Stiff.
The models of the little creatures in the bumpers moving, the ribs, and so on make the table look almost real.
Any other tables with great 3d models?

Regular console saves aren't recognized unless you load the savestate where you created them. How does this work?

Hi! I'm having a few issues with saving on an Android handheld.

I`m not sure if it is because I changed the save location to the microsd so I could just place the microsd in my pc/steamdeck and continue playing from there without having to mess with syncthing. The microsd seems to be from a reputable brand from searching on here.

One of the issues seems to be a bug, another issue must be how savestates work or also a bug.

Now. After a half dozen times. I noticed that the game doesn't properly save the save states.

Latest example. I played the start of earthbound. Quit ra with the autosave on quit on. Put the handheld to sleep. Loaded and the save wasn't there, there was an autosave at the start screen where I didn't quit...

I tried quiting on another point, and upon loading it also didn't seem to save. Once I manualy saved, only them the autosave seemed to save.

Another example was with a gba castlevania. I played it for hours, left it on standby without quiting also for hours, manually saved and turned off without quiting retroarch, the save wasn't there when loading on my steamdeck. This one I guess it's due to retroarch saving to memory and not saving to disk until you quit. Is this true?

And the last issue is the one on the title. Does autosaves overwrites regular saves?
Because for some reason. If I do a regular save. If I load another autosave and reset to load the save, the save I made won't be there.
