Just sharing what happened to me.
I must have an extreme hypersensitivity to corticosteroids, because I got severe cushing syndrome from a single 100mg hydrocortisone IV injection.
Here are some of the side effects it caused: Very swollen face, adrenaline and the urge to pace back and forth, mood swings (euphoria and roid rage), insomnia, pressure and pain in bones which resulted loss of bone density (16% loss of bone mass in my spine during the first year based on DEXA scans), increased appetite, high heart rate.
Each month the side effects got a bit weaker very slowly, with many fluctuations along the way. After a few years I'm almost back to normal, but it's crazy that one single corticosteroid injection was able to do this much damage.
I'm just making this post because most doctors will say it's not possible and this type of drug leaves the body within hours, but the fact it happened to me shows that it's possible for a person to be hypersensitive to corticosteroids.
Anyone else have this same problem and know if there's a solution? I've started playing my 360 again and I'm getting achievements on the same account but they're not showing on my Series profile. I can't see any 360 games in the list.
I've seen advice posted here that it's bad sign in the eyes of many women on dating apps, but I just don't understand why I should hide something which has been my biggest hobby since I was a kid, and still is. I still find it hard to believe though that many woman would view this as a negative when it's no different from any other hobby, so hopefully some women could chime in. Ideally I would like to find a girlfriend who also enjoys video games so we could play together.
Recent statistics and projections show that only about half of Gen Z women will ever get married in their lifetime. We can therefore deduce that roughly half of Gen Z men will never get married nor have children in their lifetime due to the forces unleashed by the sexual revolution and dating apps.
In the past men had a stake in society, because the vast majority were able to get married and have children. This was the glue that held civilization together.
We have to keep in mind that for most heterosexual men love with a woman is the most important thing to them once their basic needs are met. Telling a man that he has no hope of ever finding love or continuing his bloodline is akin to telling someone they have a terminal cancer diagnosis. I don't know how anyone could be surprised so many men are being radicalized when they're facing a fate as dire as that.
I used to have very short hair but I wanted to try something new, but ever since I grew it out I'm just getting non-stop negative comments from other guys. I never asked about their opinion, but I just get random guys coming up to me to give comments about my hair. It's getting really annoying. It's almost always guys too, in the rare event a woman says something it's usually a complement. I never knew that so many guys care so much about the hair of other men. Can someone explain why my hair is getting so much attention from random guys, and what I could possibly to do change it? I just want them to leave me alone.
I (35M) have had trouble meeting women because I work from home and never had a large "social circle" full of single available women. So my options in the past were limited to online dating and approaching random women in clubs. Both have massive downsides as we know. For an average guy online dating might yield one coffee date every 1-2 months, which will likely lead nowhere. Clubs are also a terrible place to meet women for multiple reasons (loud music, alcohol, and the fact most women seem to just go to clubs to have fun with their girlfriends and don't want to be bothered by random men approaching them).
I've done two speed dating events recently and it solves all the issues with both. Instead of swiping and texting for months just to meet one woman for coffee, you meet many women at once with 5-minute conversations each. That's enough time to see if you vibe or not. You also don't have to deal with the anxiety about approaching random women and the brutal rejections that ensue. You get to have a one-on-one conversation with no distractions. It's ideal and I truly recommend speed dating. I don't know why it isn't more popular.
It basically means you need to always agree with the hivemind or risk getting essentially shadowbanned from the entire site. I posted some contrarian opinions on the state of two video games in other subreddits, and as a result I got downvoted and now Reddit is basically unusable for me. There's a reason no other social media app in existence uses this insane system.
