raffia bag
After many many hdcs later raffia bag is finished!
Pattern (all stitches are hdc):
mr
8hdc
8inc
(hdc, inc)x8
(2hdc, inc)x8
…
(13hdc, inc)x8
(14hdc, inc)x8
you can adjust the size by adding more round or removing some rounds
I used the back side of the crochet as the outer part of the bag it looks more dimensional
For the handle i did a simple braid using total of 6 strands
P.S. do not forget to not align the inc stitches on top of each other so it looks more round than octagonal
my parrotlet is disgusted by fruits
Hi all,
My first time seeing this subreddit and it looks great :)
This cutie is my 7.5 year old female parrotlet Viçviç. And she has her quirks ofc but after many years, i’m still shocked by the fact that she is disgusted by fruits bc they are “wet”.
She does not eat any fruit at all if it is fresh, she eats dried apple, dried mulberry but if i have any of these as fresh fruits, she touches them once and shakes her head in disgust and dries her beak.
I tried many fruits (berries, apple, pear, grape, watermelon, etc.) since many years and she still doesn’t eat them.
Only things she eats that are not dried are cucumber, sweet corn, pepper seeds, lettuce, arugula, cabbage. But no fresh fruit.
I try to provide her a varied diet as much as possible other than seeds, but she is refusing a lot of stuff and i don’t know why.
Every other parrotlet i see eats fruit. Do you have the same experience? I am curious.
any ideas what goes well with mastic liqueur
I have some mastic liqueur from Greece. I am trying to create some recipes but do you have any recommendations? What could go well with it?
recommendations for any open-hole flute
Hi, im planning to buy a new flute. I used my old-reliable Yamaha 211 for a long time, 10 years for training + 5ish years for hobby so it is very old now.
I want to buy an open hole one, and my old flute teacher recommended Miyazawa. But do you have any recommendations? I dont have much info on different brands i only used my Yamaha since the beginning. I want to buy something that feels more professional, not like a student flute.
maybe its obvious but seeing this could change your experience, social media exposure
Maybe its an obvious thing to say but, cleaning out my instagram feed from every mental health, OCD, anxiety, how to settle your nervous system, etc. content really improved my experience. Now i get to see content about my hobbies and fav topics instead of every definitive(!) solution of how to fix my mental health.
Ofc, the urge to Google something is there sometimes, and this does not fix or get rid of anything, but still, when i open an app, i get to enjoy whatever i like (maybe sometimes just silly memes), instead of triggering myself more.
Maybe someone needs to hear it now and take action :)
