I have my coveted FT03 mini with Ryzen 7700 and RTX5070. Build log incoming. I got the Kraken 120 liquid cooler but the temps are a little high - around 55 idle and 85 under load. There is not a lot of clearance between PSU and AsRock A620i motherboard (about 9 cm), so it seems I can replace the cooler with the Noctua L9x65 or L12S.

My question is, would either of those be any meaningfully better? Anyone has any experience with those?

Note: Case can fit only 120mm AIO or low-ish profile cooler.

Does rogers typically offer welcome bonus? I remember seeing a long time ago something about free TTC taps with the card as well as increased cash back up to 100$. Currently there are some small (60$) referral website bonuses but nothing that enticing.

When was the last time Rogers offered anything and when do you think they might do it again? I am considering signing up for their card but not in extreme rush anyway and would rather wait for a good promo.

The issue:

A few days ago I had a hard crash with the message:
"Stop code: IRQL NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (OxA) What failed: ntoskrnl.exe". But it restarted fine and I kinda forgot about it. Also few random crashes with one of the games before then but I assumed that due to the game and not the PC.

Today, I was playing a game and suddenly the game froze and screen went black. I pressed the restart button on my case and it did but the screen did not light up. I waited a bit thinking of what to do and in the next minute the screen came back and it displayed the BIOS page for the RAM settings page. I figured that might have been me mashing buttons or clicking something while the screen was turning back on. Interestingly, the page was unresponsive as I could not move the mouse or keyboard. I pressed reset button again.

Next, the PC powered on again, the fans spun up, the RGB lit up. The PC did not POST however. I also noticed that I can't power it off by holding power button anymore. I have to switch off my PSU instead.

What I tried:

First thing I did was unplug everything and reseat RAM - nothing

Then I tried using only one stick of RAM in different slots - nothing

Unplug and plug back in the GPU - nothing

Tried plugging in different screen in different GPU sockets - no signal.

Conclusion:

I am not sure what else I can try to diagnose the problem. Would appreciate any advice.

Hi there. Has anyone heard anything about the Nolan retrospective series mentioned in one of the earlier newsletters? Previous years, the main summer cinematheque events like Pop Japan and Women in Action started in June and went into July. This year, they announced June programming but no mention of Nolan films.

Also, my understanding is that the definitive way of seeing Nolan movies is in IMAX, given that he seems to be the champion of the format, but to my knowledge TIFF does not have a proper size screen to support a screening of appropriate format. Will the movies be shown in the cut down version, or will they be held at Scotiabank theater?
