I’m a PR sponsoring my common-law partner through Family Class (outland). My sponsor eligibility has already been approved (received an email), but I may leave Canada temporarily for several months (2-5).

IRCC says:

“A permanent resident of Canada residing abroad is not eligible to submit a family class sponsorship.”

It also says:

“A sponsor must be eligible from the day the sponsorship application is received… until the sponsored person becomes a permanent resident.”

I found this similar post, but there was no outcome.

Has anyone been in this case—PR sponsor, already approved, who then stayed outside Canada for several months during processing? What happened?

I’m applying for citizenship next month and faced a problem of counting all days I’ve spent in Canada, especially after being abroad for about 3 months in 20 different trips

I made an app to solve this problem for myself, would appreciate any feedback and the app is free unless you’re using photo scan feature

It's my first serious relationship. We've been together for 1.5 years, lived together for a year.

I consider myself liberal and want all genders to be equal. I always wanted to be in "scandinavian" relationship where we both do cleaning, have our careers, etc. Feminism is important to her but I often find myself being not ok with some things she does/says:

1. Kids: we're both not sure if we want to have kids but she says that men aren't capable of rising kinds, she also says that if she has a child, she would be aborting it until she gets a daughter. It came from her recently and I find it shocking because that's what they did in China but with boys and we all consider it as inhumane
2. Money: she expects me to pay more because most boys in Hong Kong (that's where she's from) do it and that I need to compensate her struggle with gender inequality. I'm ok to spend more money on her because I make more but it feels more like gender expectation. She also wants me to buy her presents and organize Valentine's day, while to me it feels like it should be a holiday for a couple, not her
3. Sex: we rarely have good conversation about sex and she rarely wants to satisfy me (by touching, initiating, etc) when I'm all into her (doing things he likes and trying to have a conversation about it) and she uses feminism as the reason she doesn't want to do anything sexual for me.

I'm not looking to have full equality with her and I actually like organizing stuff, taking care of her, etc but some of the things she said (especially about kids) hurt me and make me feel like I'm dating someone who disrespects and doesn't appreciate me.

I don't want to diverge this conversation into gender roles and feminism, we all have different opinions. I'm just looking for advice from someone who has been dealing with something similar on both sides.
