This is more of an FYI than anything else.
Last Friday I ran an update on my CachyOS desktop. I haven't touched the PC since (busy weekend) but when I try to log in this morning, the login screen refuses my credentials.
I launched a TTY (Ctrl+Alt+F3, for those who want to know) where, to my surprise, I could log in perfectly fine, so it had to be problem in PAM or SDDM.
After fucking around for a bit trying to find the issue, I decided to just try sudo pacman -Syu from the TTY and reboot. Worst that could happen is I needed to revert to a previous snapshot.

Lo and behold, normal update of the system fixed everything and we're back in business.

From now, on, that's the first thing I will try if anything goes wrong after an update.

My chain and sprockets are in dire need of replacement. After shopping around, I chose to order my parts on NR1 Moto. I've ordered there before and they offer quality parts for a good price.

On the website, everything went well. You select your bike and the website gives you the right sizes (or so I thought). I had to look up the right chain length for my bike, but that's fine. I placed my order.

A couple days later, I got notified some parts are on backorder (the website said they were in stock). Fine, I'll wait. After a week, of communication, I get notified they will be sending the front sprocket and chain already and will send the rear sprocket when it's in stock.

The parts arrive, I struggle getting the front sprocket off, but finally, I get it (after buying a breaker bar). Out with the old, in with the new. I install the front sprocket and prepare to put the new chain on, only to realise it's the wrong pitch... They sent me a 520 chain instead of a 525...

I check back on their website, go through the same steps and yep, their tool chooses the wrong chain...

Now I'm stuck. The old chain is cut and I can't move on with the repairs.

Guess I'll have to take the bicycle to work again, for the third week in a row...

Check your invoices guys. Don't trust the tools they use.

Yesterday, I bought myself a Shoei Neotec 3 at a great price (€200 off MSRP). I've always had a Cardio packtalk system but I did some research on the Shoei SRL3 com system and it seems like it's a good system, but a little pricey.

Anyone who has experience with it?

For about a month now I've been trying to unlock the bootloader on my old Poco F3. I don't use it anymore as my regular phone and I want to use it for experimentation and development.

I want to have the bootloader unlocked, so I can have full control over the device. Every day I go into the Xiaomi community app right before reset to apply and every single day it's the same thing. The second reset hits I tap the button and I get "quota reached, try again tomorrow".

It's infuriating!

Rant over, but also genuinely looking for a way to unlock what's legally mine.

Hi fellow riders! I'm in the market for a new brain bucket. My old HJC I90 is starting to get close to that age, where replacement isn't a bad idea. I had this helmet fitted at the store and I know this is the right helmet shape. (Turns out the Schubert I had before this wasn't the right shape for me)

Hi all.

I have an old Poco F3 lying around I want to unlock, so I can try out some other ROM's. Unfortunately I'm not having much luck.

I have the phone in fastboot, connected to a Windows 11 laptop, with the newest version of MI Unlock. I have installed the drivers and I can see "Android boot device" in the device manager, but when I launch the unlock tool and sign in, I either "pipeline failed" or it's just stuck trying to log in.

Anyone know what I need to do to get this phone unlocked?
