My doctor and previous endocrinologists have always told me that the ideal levels are between 100-150.
I'm driving myself absolutely bonkers trying to maintain in between those levels because I apparently have it in my head that if I go over 150 its a catastrophe and its taking a huge toll on me mentally.
So I guess my question is, how do y'all deal with these types of things? Has your doctors or endocrinologists said something similar? Is it really a bad thing if my sugars occasionally get higher than 150?
I just want my body to stop being so dumb 😭
Title really says it all. I'm kinda bored of eggs + protein + a slice of toast. Sometimes I feel fancy and do avocado toast or oatmeal with fruit or something but I was curious if y'all had any other ideas or favorite breakfasts that don't spike the good ol' sugars too much.
Thanks in advance 🥲
Heart is very heavy tonight. Hug your furry ones extra tight 💓
A joint and lazy breakfast
Smoked a fattie, got hungry 😋
The last 24 hours has been a trip lmao
Barely eating anything then when I do it decides to spike SEVERAL hours later and I think I'm doing okay then my alarm starts screaming at me right when I actually start getting some decent sleep lmao
Cheers
Obligatory post about hating this disease and the complete mess it (but 99% me) has made my life. Gonna go stare into the fucking sun or something.
Barely ate dinner last night (half a grilled cheese) and it spiked pretty high. Woke up to it being over 250, took some short acting when I woke up and it's kind of leveling out. I'm hungry but afraid to eat anything (I know there are good options for me but I'm burnt out on them)
I'm starting to feel the effects that my diabetes is having on my mental health and I honestly don't know if I can go on living like this. The neuropathy pain is making doing pretty much anything incredibly difficult even with medication management for it. I do not want to be alive anymore, I'd rather not feel like a burden on those in my life.
I am in awe of those that have figured out how to manage their life living with diabetes. I wish I had the strength to do what you do.
Maybe I'll figure out how to come to terms with this, maybe I won't 🤷🏼♂️
Cheers.
Long story short- I recently got hired and was working. Had to leave work early a couple times due to being sick (I have doctors notes for both days) and then yesterday when I called out due to being sick my store manager told me to speak with him (or another member of management) before I clock in.. when I asked if I was going to be fired he said "we'll talk about it tomorrow"
He brought up the days I'd already missed and I mentioned having notes for missing and he told me "that doesn't matter" so im very concerned about losing my job.
I'm in Texas if that matters.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Anyone else use CashApp for direct deposit? I was under the impression we would get paid a couple days early by using CashApp but I haven't gotten my paycheck yet.
Its only my second paycheck so I'm wondering if I'll get a paper check again but figured I'd ask if anyone else was having any issues with early deposit through CashApp
Cheers & Thank you in advance
I've been experiencing low levels like this (which im not used too, I usually have very high levels) and when I get low like this I start freaking out and overload myself with carbs to bring it back up and end up spiking my levels to a very high range.
So my question is, how do you bring your levels up without spiking super high?
I was told to eat 15g of carbs and wait 15 minutes and check my levels again but when I do it this way I struggle not overdoing it
