Could we change the Bubble charge?

Just give me the energy from blocking AFTER I stop blocking. It’s more annoying than anything but being forced into half-demon while trying to protect against big burst dmg is just dumb.

Do you guys know how to counter Peni nests

I’m just lowk curious cause someone made a post asking which Vanguard you would delete and a ton said Peni.

I get it nobody shoot the best but you guys do realize that there are multiple ways to clear the nest without shooting right?

I’ll list all the ways I know how to do it later but I’m curious which ways you guys clear it first. The Vanguard use for it are Mag, DP, Groot, Strange, Hulk in that order.

Gamma Team-up is better than it looks

I’ll admit I was wrong I was a massive hater of the new gamma teamup, and I still kinda am but with a caveat.

In my opinion the Invis team-up is still better than the Gamma teamup in the upgrades state BUT Gamma is actually better in the upgraded state.

Without Hulk the Gamma teamup is just a straight up nerf tbh, an extra 2 seconds on Maelstrom cooldown for a charge rate increase you can’t take advantage of and no antiheal, basically only helpful if you suck on Strange. Meanwhile Invis give the big suck and big shield, ez win.

The ENHANCED version changes everything. Yeah the extra health from Invis is kinda nice but it’s really not necessary. Hulk on the other hand prevents you from losing charge and “retains some energy”. This wording sucks because it actually means is that you ONLY LOSE ENERGY ABOVE 50 CHARGE. If you maelstrom at:

25 -> 25
50 -> 50
75 -> 50
100 -> 50

Once you get to 50 energy you can’t fall below 50 energy until you die. This means that at minimum maelstrom is doing 65 dmg. A simple primary + melee + maelstrom will do 214 dmg. In comparison that same combo would only land you 145 dmg without the teamup. Add in dmg boosts and chip dmg from teammates and you start getting picks that you normally wouldn’t be getting, especially because when they aren’t expecting it to come out so fast.

Edit some people don’t seem to understand that the value comes from controlling timing and combos. It doesn’t matter if the avg dmg is lower if you explode the moment your pheonix lands a shot and they die.

TLDR: E Gam > E Invis > Invis > Gam

Ult micro rework

I just wanted to ask what you all thought of a ult change I had in mind.

Current the dmg is split between time held and dmg absorbed, 350 max from time and 300(297 technically) from dmg absorbed.

What if we moved all the dmg over to time held to a max of 650 after 5s, which would increase how fast the dmg accumulates. In exchange meteor M is automatically thrown once it reaches 100 charge instead of exploding.

This would incentivize the enemy to try and max the charge as fast as possible, rewarding them a wet paper towel of an ult if they succeed while punishing them with an extinction level event if they don’t

We need a new type of shield

Many complaints about balance and frustration in this game have been based around shields and how they work. Invis and Fox shield are additional clutter and almost feel stronger than vanguard shields at time with their availability due to not needing to use them as often and shields only needing 1 hp to block any single instance of dmg regardless of how high. This results the frustration of many ults, Mag, Namor, etc, being blocked by tiny shields that you realistically can’t bait out first.

This has likely resulted in dumb shield break mechanics like Cyclops that realistically just punishes Tanks. I think new shield types could regardless of if this is the case.

New shield types could be like mag ult/sigma suck where they only block projectiles and another shield for a brawler could be made to only block melee attacks.

Personally I want a shield that has a damage threshold and blocks all dmg up to threshold of let’s say 50 dmg and any dmg above that is reduced by 25%. It would be like real life armour, you can shoot a Tank all day with 9mm but if you shoot it with a higher caliber it’s get through the armour at the cost of a little kinetic energy.

Give this type of shield to Invis and it’ll still help in most situations but she isn’t blocking a nuke anymore.

Edit: Ignore the typo in the title it 5am and I’m tired… imma be tired at work lol

Answering a comment and figured I might as well just make this a post too. Tbf I haven’t confirmed this in game yet and I probably will try tomorrow but I don’t see why it wouldn’t.

Strange Maelstrom -130 dmg

Luna 40%
Rocket 40%
Cloak 28%
Thing 20%
DpsPool 30%
HealPool 20%
Storm 15%
Mantis 12%
Ultron 10%

This isn’t even a full list and a couple technically boost dmg more but I’m just gonna pull from this list of dmg boosts and vulnerable debuffs. I’m also not sure if the dmg boost stack additive or multiplicatively.

Let’s go with a 2-2-2 comp of Strange Thing DpsPool Storm Luna Rocket

Additive: 130 *(1 + .2 + .3 + .15 + .4 + .4) ‎ = 318.5

Multiplicative: 130 * (1.2 * 1.3 * 1.15 * 1.4 * 1.4) ‎ = 457.111

Now that uses 2 support ults and DpsPools ult at the same time which is stupid so what if we replace rocket with mantis and Luna with Ultron and DpsPool goes HealPool so he doesn’t need to ult.

The line up is Strange,Thing, Storm, HealPool, Mantis, Ultron

Additive: 130 *(1 + .2 + .15 + .3 + .12 + .1 ) ‎ = 243.1

Multiplicative: 130 * (1.2 * 1.15 x 1.3 x 1.12 x 1.1) ‎ = 287.327

As you can see you can oneshot 275hp squishies without ult and potentially without any ults depending on how the numbers are calculated.
