Hi everyone,

I’m posting this on behalf of my close friend and their family, who are going through the hardest time of their lives right now.

Their 46-year-old father, Bixapathi Kallem, is currently in critical condition in the ICU at Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, fighting acute-on-chronic liver failure.

Everything happened very suddenly. He suffered a massive internal bleed caused by esophageal varices, which led to hemorrhagic shock, severe blood loss, kidney failure, and complete medical instability. Right now, he is on a ventilator for breathing support and undergoing continuous dialysis (CRRT) to keep his organs functioning.

The doctors have made it clear that his only real chance of survival is an urgent liver transplant.

The estimated cost for the ICU treatment, dialysis, and transplant procedures is around ₹40 lakhs. His family has already exhausted their savings and paid large upfront hospital deposits, but they cannot manage this amount alone in such a short time.

We are requesting anyone who can help — even a small contribution matters immensely right now.
