BobbleShelf - New Website Dedicated to Bobblehead Collectors

With the help of many members from the sub, we have built a free site that catalogs MLB stadium giveaway bobbleheads. All 30
teams, 3,600+ of them going back to 1999, with photos and the number given
away. You can mark what you own and it tracks your completion percentage
for each team, plus you get a public shelf link to show it off.

Take a look and start your shelf. It's free: http://bobbleshelf.com

Help Become the Official Team Rep for Your Favorite MLB Team on BobbleShelf

We’re looking for passionate bobblehead collectors to help build the most complete MLB stadium giveaway bobblehead database on the internet.

Right now, we’re looking for one Team Rep for every MLB team except:

  • ✅ Dodgers
  • ✅ Padres
  • ✅ Mariners
  • ✅ White Sox
  • ✅ Rangers

As a Team Rep, you’ll help:

  • 📸 Add photos of bobbleheads
  • ➕ Submit new giveaways that are missing
  • ✏️ Correct or update existing information
  • 🗓️ Keep your team’s page as complete as possible
  • 🏆 Help build the definitive resource for collectors

Some teams already have 200+ listings, while others still have a long way to go. Whether you’ve been collecting for 20 years or just love following your favorite team, you can make a huge impact.

This is a volunteer/community-driven project, but Team Reps will receive:

  • Recognition on the site
  • Early access to new features
  • A direct role in shaping BobbleShelf as it grows

If you’d like to represent your favorite team, comment below or send me a DM with the team you’d like to cover.

Let’s build something the entire bobblehead community can use for years to come!

Seeking Contributors for a New MLB SGA Bobblehead Database/Website

Good afternoon! I am back with updates on the bobblehead collectors website that we are building. I say "we" because I have already have a tremendous amount of help with the database from current r/Bobbleheads users u/blueblazer2222 and u/ksiggystyle91 as well as everyone else that sent me their spreadsheet!

I've included a few pics of the progress.

That being said...

We are still missing some of the giveaways in our database and most of the giveaway need a photo added.

I’m looking for a few fellow MLB stadium giveaway bobblehead collectors who would be interested in helping build it!

The project already has nearly 4,000 bobblehead listings, but there’s still plenty of work left. I’m looking for people who can help with things like:

  • Adding missing bobblehead listings.
  • Uploading photos for existing listings.
  • Filling in missing details such as giveaway dates, player names, teams, sponsors, and other information.
  • Helping verify that existing information is accurate.

You don’t need any special skills—just an interest in baseball bobbleheads and a willingness to contribute.

This is still a work in progress, so I’m not publicly launching the site yet. I’m just looking for a small group of collectors who would like early access and are interested in helping build the database before it goes live.

If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, leave a comment or send me a DM. I’d love to have a few dedicated collectors help make this the best resource possible.

Door to Door Sales

Bought a house in one of the newer areas of Lodi. Apparently that has attracted every single company around to send door to door salesman to my neighborhood. I can’t believe this is still a thing. Pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say that if you come knocking on by door randomly… you aren’t getting my business. Kindly F*** off.

I’m building a website to track every MLB SGA bobblehead ever made. What features would you want?

I’m building a website for MLB stadium giveaway bobblehead collectors, and I’d love to get some input from the community before I get too far into development.

The main idea is to create a complete database of every MLB team’s SGA bobbleheads, where collectors can:

  • Check off which bobbleheads they own
  • Upload photos of their own bobbleheads
  • Track when and where they got them
  • Keep notes about condition, signatures, variants, etc.
  • See what they’re missing
  • Browse every giveaway by team and year

I’m sure there are features I’m not thinking of, so I’m curious…

What would make this a website you’d actually use?

What features would you want? Collection tracking? Wish lists? Trade lists? Value estimates? Marketplace integration? Mobile app? Anything else?

I’d really appreciate any ideas. My goal is to build something that’s actually useful for collectors rather than just another database.

Ive included a couple photos to give you an idea of where it is headed...

Scrape Instead of Bruise on a Softball to the Shin

Check this out. I got drilled on the shin with a softball while playing third base yesterday. It happens. It bruises up. It goes away. Well… this time it didn’t bruise… I ended up with a scrape. I was wearing baseball pants. We are pretty sure that the ball had so much spin that actually caused my pains to essentially rug burn me. Open to any other thoughts?

209 Lost & Found Dogs

Good evening everyone. I wanted share a free resource I built for anyone in the 209.

If you’ve lost a dog or found one wandering around, 209 Lost & Found Dogs is a free website where you can post lost and found dogs, search existing reports, and hopefully help reunite pets with their families.

I know a lot of people turn to Reddit and Facebook when a pet goes missing, so I thought having one dedicated place for the entire 209 area might make it easier to find pets and get them back home.

If you know someone who’s missing a dog or if you’ve found one... please check it out:

209dogs.com

I’d also love any feedback or suggestions to make it more useful for the community. I’m not making any money from this—my goal is simply to help reunite lost dogs with their families and reduce the number of stray dogs across the 209.

Stray Dogs

Not sure if this is allowed, but I wanted to share a free resource I built for anyone in the Stockton area.

Wasn’t allowed to bring my glasses into the A’s game tonight

Apparently MLB has instituted a rule that bans any recording devices such as ray ban meta glasses from being brought into the stadium. I was not allowed to bring them in tonight even though they are my prescription glasses because “I might film the whole game”. I asked why I was allowed to bring my phone into the game then and the response was that my phone is not capable of recording the whole game but my glasses are…

Can we ban the mod of r/SacramentoAthletics?

I fully understand that the move to Sacramento and eventually Vegas fucking sucks. However, some of us did embrace the time in Sacramento. (I live in Lodi... I enjoy how close they are and enjoy watching them in close quarters). Whether you agree with fans still rooting for the team or not... many of of us got banned from r/SacramentoAthletics by the moderator for reasons that simply are unexplainable.

The moderator of r/SacramentoAthletics should be banned from r/Athletics going forward.

A moderator's job is to grow a community, not ban anyone who disagrees with them.

The number of former members who have been banned for minor disagreements is ridiculous. The result has been a fractured fanbase, multiple replacement communities, and a subreddit that has become more about one moderator's opinions than Athletics baseball.

It's that simple.

What is the average cost of a Coleman Mini Bike in your area?

I know that isn’t as straight forward of a question as it may seem because there are different models, quality, engines, etc but let’s hear some answers? What are you all paying for a Coleman Mini Bike in your area? Include details for context.
