Best day of pin trading I’ve ever had in the parks

This did take me all day visiting 3 different parks. Got 5 of the new Hidden Disneys! If you aren’t doing it already keep your eye out for cast members doing trivia!

Where can I watch the Disney Experiences Showcase on 8/15?

From what I’ve gathered, Disney themselves will not be doing an official livestream for the event. Do any of you know if some content creators will be live-streaming it for us to watch? I really would like to watch it live.

How are people lining up so early?

I just saw a clip of the pin drop this last Tuesday. People were lined up at Hollywood Studios way before the sun was even up. The parking lot doesn’t open until an hour before the gates open. Additionally, the buses and skyliner don’t operate until an hour before gates open. Wtf are these people doing in order to get there sooo early?

Anyone know where this pin comes from?

Back is completely blank. Traded for it off a board. Whenever I do the photo lookup on eBay it’s a bunch of different trash can pins.

Why am I being charged by Discover?

I just got charged $70 by Discover. The description reads, “Interest Charge on Purchases.” I have paid my Statement Balance every month for years and never gotten this before. The only thing that I did different last month was that I used my cashback bonus. Any ideas?

eBay seller sent scrappers

Just have to vent real quick. How the heck do some sellers not realize that we aren’t idiots? You can’t just send scrappers and think you’ll get away with it. Anyone who’s ordering one pin at a time will know if it’s real or fake. Obviously you expect fakes from a lot. But if I’m spending more than $5 for a single pin, you better expect I’m going to closely analyze it.

Does this one look fake to you guys?

Odds are that it’s fake. It’s a set from 2008 and found it on a board last night. Both of those aspects are definitely against its favor. On the other hand, it’s a pretty thick, the lines are clean, there are no dips in the enamel, and all the wording on the back is very legible. Which makes me think there’s a slim possibility that it’s real. Anyone have a real one to compare?

Who Else Can Relate?

Sitting in the floor at the American Adventure listening to the Voices of Liberty feels so good during the summer lol

Which IPs are sought after?

When it comes to pins, which IPs are considered sought after? Like obviously the Kingdom Heart IP is very sought after considering the pin drops are always insane.

How Disneyland looked in 1955

This model was created for the 50th anniversary in 2005. Really cool to see how different it is from today’s park.

A couple things that are interesting to me:

  1. The Rivers of America were connected to Jungle Cruise
  2. Adventureland is a dead end. You couldn’t walk through to the Rivers of America
  3. Look at all the empty space!

Happy May the 4th! It’s pandemonium in Galaxy’s Edge. Why is everyone is just standing around the Falcon? Are they doing some special presentation or is everyone just gathered there just because?

I understand why the 2020 pins are pricy considering they were only on sale for a couple months. But for instance this stitch pin is still available at the parks. It’s not a chaser, and it’s going for flipping $45! That’s outrageous. And the ones from 2024 are getting into the $75-$100 range. Is it just that they’re desirable? What the heck is going on???
