135kg / 297lbs

I have fibromyalgia and hypermobility and I'm obese. I've lost 15kg so far. Cellerciser say they are rated up to 400pounds. Has anyone heavier got any recommendations?

Buprisone - ssri bruxism

*edit*

I emailed the psychiatrist and he said he didn't want to add buprisone to my ssri due to serotonin syndrome but from what I've read it's very common to prescribe both. I will speak with my GP/PCP and see what they say.

Buspirone

Anyone had success with this to treat jaw tension and bruxism associated with ssri?

I am switching from 40mg lexapro to zoloft due to metabolising lexapro too quickly and the tmj issues.

Muscle relaxant?

Have you had any success with a muscle relaxant short term? I am adjusting ssri medication and would like to try something to hold me over until I get my splint. I'm at the point where my jaw tension is so bad that I'm scared to take my adhd medication for fear of further tooth damage.

Cost of allergist Australia

I got a quote for an allergist and they said initial appointment including tests is between $500-750 private. I was just wondering if this is fairly standard or if I should keep looking or try and go public system?

Facial/eye swelling

The past few weeks one of my eyes has looked smaller than the other. Today I realised one side of my face is also more swollen. I have mcas so I'm not sure if this is due to fluid retention/eye irritation or my tmj issues. Either way it's messing with me.

SSRI switch

So my tmj issues are at their core caused by my hypernobility and biomechanical issues induced by thumb sucking but my SSRI makes my symptoms significantly worse. My teeth are now fracturing and pulling away from my gums. I am looking into getting a split but I had pharacogenic testing done that shows I metabolise my current ssri too quickly which explains why I've been on an authority dose for 10 years and still feel depressed.

I'm VERY nervous about switching but I am crossing my fingers it helps with my tmj.

Curious if anyone else had success with an antidepressant switch?

For reference I'm on 40mg lexapro and doing a very slow taper then switching to zoloft.

Unsure what day of cycle to get blood test.

I've looked it up and it says day 3 for baseline day 21 to test for ovulation or day 25 if you have a longer cycle (32 days) I'm 39 and on day 41. Taking low dose progesterone and 1000mg of metformin. Not TTC

Palm dryness

I saw someone post about this recently but can't find it. I assume it's just from frequent hand washing but saw that it may also be candida? It's not itchy at all.

DAO alternative?

Have been taking DAO for a week and although it's been decent I was hoping for more effectiveness for the price. I'd say it's about on par with quercitin for me. The packaging is cute but terrible for functionality. I bought the intoleron brand. Any recommendations for a decent but cheaper brand or a different product altogether?

Many thanks

Allergy pin prick test?

Thank you for your feedback regarding allergy shots. After the response I've decided not to pursue them. I was considering getting a pin prick test to see what my highest food reactions are to try a more tailored climatic diet but now after the response to the allergy shot question I'm wondering if even that is a safe idea. For context I've never had an anaphylactic reaction.

I've noticed a lot of people mentioning their symptoms get worse just before their period. Due to my pcos my cycle can be somewhat unpredictable which means my "pre menstrual" time can sometimes be a lot longer than a week but i feel the pre menstrual symptoms that whole time. It's making it hard to tell what is maybe perimenopause, what's pcos and what's mcas.

But saw my face in the mirror which confirmed I was mid flair so I checked my cheek temperature, drank some water and took my meds instead. 🫠

I also realised I'd already eaten chocolate which is likely what caused the mcas flair.

I'm considering getting allergy shots for dander and dust mites but I'm curious whether mcas makes that less likely to be effective. Anyone had success with them?

I know that going gluten free, even temporarily will give my immune system a rest but I have severe adhd, depression, anxiety and recovering binge eating disorder. I'm worried that it won't be good for me mentally or that I'll struggle to maintain enough calories. The adhd is probably the biggest part along with the anxiety because I struggle going to the shop as well as having the energy/clarity to be organised with meals.
