Traveling into different time zone TTA

I take my BBT my mouth every day at 7am. I have an upcoming trip with a 5 hour time zone difference. I know inconsistent timing can screw up the temps so should I disregard the temps entirely while I’m gone? Can I salvage them somehow? If not how long after I return should I wait for my temps to be reliable (since I’m assuming my sleep schedule will have to readjust)?

Lost about mucus/discharge trying to avoid pregnancy

I have been attempting to practice NFP for almost 2 years now. I spent the first year feeling my way through the dark and then my church offered a class which my husband and I took together around this time last year. I don't know if there's really an official name for the method they taught and I certainly don't understand all the terminology and abbreviations that I see on this sub so I'm not sure what to call it. I do basal body temperature when I wake up, feel the cervix for signs (although I honestly don't think I'm great at interpreting this), notate any mittelschmerz or breast sensitivity, and I'm supposed to be tracking mucus but I really don't get it at all.

Most of the time I cannot identify what category it should fall into in the slightest and sometimes I'll get two conflicting types of mucus side by side. Most of the time it just is generally dischargy. There's nothing creamy, sticky, eggwhitey, or watery about it for the most part it's just unidentifiable crust in my underwear.

Once in a while I'll notice that my undies are just like super wet throughout the day but there's no visible discharge sitting in them. Is that watery then?

Sometimes I'll have the super wet undies but there will also be a gob or two of what is so thick that it resembles jello but is also crystal clear. So when this happens I'm getting clear and watery which means fertile but at the same time I'm also getting thick and sticky which means not fertile???

There's generally not enough mucus at any given point in the day to try stretching it between my fingers and most of the time it's just dried in my undies. I also definitely cannot ever identify the drying up that is supposed to happen after ovulation. I get discharged constantly throughout my cycle and it changes but it totally doesn't fit into categories the way it should.

I understand the rules and principles for this stuff but I'm having trouble identifying it and I honestly thought after two years I'd get the hang of it but it's not happening and I really need help.

I can interpret cervix a little better like I can tell height and firmness/softness pretty well. As far as openness that's more difficult and wetness is impossible for me.

I have extremely regular cycles and I always have like a textbook example of a biphasic chart when it comes to temperature.

I would like to be able to use early day rules but as it is my husband and I are relying solely on temperature since I don't fully understand the other stuff. We are just waiting for the temperature to rise every month which is super frustrating because it gives us such a short window.

After trying to figure it out for this long I feel like it's never going to happen. Am I able to figure it out at this point or am I doing something wrong? I'm so frustrated at this point. Sorry for the huge long post. Does anybody have any advice?

TLDR: I understand the rules on paper about mucus but I cannot for the life of me interpret it

Critique my new routine

About a month ago, I posted an SOS about being totally lost reading through this sub and trying to decipher it. There were A LOT of responses with so many suggestions that I am eternally grateful for. I wanted to make another post to ensure I am taking this advice correctly before trying the new routine, as all the recommended products have finally arrived in the mail.

I was having trouble with stinky clothes that felt like there was a film on them. I have hard water in my area. I have a Frigidaire quiet pack washer and dryer. They are old, and the washer is a top loader. I do not have the option to replace them.

The new routine is as follows:

  1. 1-1.5 scoops (with provided scooper, depending on load size) 365 Unscented Powder Detergent in the bottom of the washer

  2. 1-2 scoops (with provided scooper, depending on load size) of FEBU Enzyme Oxygen Laundry Booster 7-Enzyme Formula with DNase on the other side of the bottom of the washer (not touching the detergent)

  3. Set the washer to a normal cycle with warm water

  4. Close the lid and let the washer fill about halfway (it refuses to fill until the lid is closed)

  5. Load clothes into the washing soup

  6. Fill a Downy Ball with Downy Rinse & Refresh (using measurements on the ball) and throw it on top of the clothes

  7. Close the lid and let the washer do its thing

  8. Throw my evil dryer sheets in the trash and use the new wool dryer balls instead

This is what I came up with as a combination of a bunch of advice that I received on the other post. Am I missing anything? Am I doing too much?

New Laundry Balls Stink

Just got my wool laundry balls in the mail as was suggested on this sub. I opened them and they smell like butthole straight out of the packaging. Why? How can I fix this so they don't make my laundry stink?

Skin sensitivities make me unable to use essential oils or perfumes so hopefully I'm not just screwed with that

Greasy Hair Help

I cannot find anybody else who has hair quite as greasy as mine. I have to wash it every single night or it's so greasy it looks like I used too much gel (I'm not using any gel). If I wash it before like 8ish in the evening, then it's greasy the next day when I wake up. I have fine straight hair so the grease is very visible.

I have a silk pillowcase to minimize this, but it doesn't do much. I've tried clarifying shampoos, moisturizing ones, normal ones, shampoo bars, etc. I don't put any conditioner on my scalp just the ends. I tried for about two years to train it to not be greasy by washing every 2-3 days like some have recommended. It didn't work at all. I rinse my shampoo out until my hair is completely void of any kind of product and then rinse some more so it's not buildup. I've tried all kinds of different dry shampoos, none of them really do quite enough (no matter how much or little I use).

Recently I've been trying to learn how to do curls and blowouts and things of that nature. Every tutorial I see will be like "this will last me four days and then I have to wash" and I just cannot find a way to get anything to last more than the first day I style it because it gets destroyed with grease the very next day. It just feels like a waste to put all that time into a style just to wash it out the same night.

Can anybody relate? Am I missing something or doing something wrong? Any advice?

TLDR: My hair is so greasy it must be washed every day. Any advice on making it less greasy?

Totally TMI but did anybody have any trouble with the juice they make you drink before the breath test? I had the most insane diarrhea I've ever had in my life that started about 2 days after my test. I have no other explanation for it.

I'm wondering if it took a couple of days because gastric emptying was slow. Has anyone else run into anything similar?

I made a post earlier about an outdoor July wedding. I was almost unanimously shut down which is fine that's why I asked. A problem a lot of people had was that it didn't seem like a reputable seller. I found this one I thought may be a good alternative. Is this dress appropriate for cocktail attire and does anybody know if this seller is trustworthy?

My laundry stinks. It never stunk until I moved in with my husband and we combined laundry. It also doesn't feel clean. It smells like laundry detergent AND dirty clothes. Our clothes and sheets and such come out of the dryer feeling like there's a product buildup.

I can't use Tide because my husband is allergic. We've been using arm & hammer (the plus oxy kind) and we use Kirkland brand dryer sheets. We have a very basic mildly outdated washer and dryer with not many cycle options. I know we have hard water in our area.

I have spent HOURS reading through this sub and the kismai aesthetics website and I'm more confused than when I started. The only thing I really understand is that I should be using vinegar to rinse but I'm also not really even sure what that means. Like am I pulling my clothes out of the washer and putting them in a tub of vinegar before I dry them???? That's my best guess but it definitely sounds wrong. After spending a bunch of time reading about surfactants and such I still have no idea what's going on. Can someone please explain what to do like I'm five? I'm so very lost and confused.

Edit: I got an auto-reply from a mod about vinegar in the rinse cycle. WHAT THE HELL IS A RINSE CYCLE????

ETA: I did not previously use Tide, I previously used Gain (which did not give me these issues) and I switched to Arm & Hammer because it's cheaper and I'm poor.
