Why do you reject the Father and Praise Jesus instead….

When I read scripture alone there’s a clear indication of the relationship between the Messiah and the Father from Scripture. Jesus prays to the Father (Luke 6:12; John 17), says the Father sent Him (John 6:38), says He seeks the Father’s will rather than His own (John 5:30), and after the resurrection says, “I ascend to My God and your God” (John 20:17). How do Christians interpret these verses while still affirming that Jesus is fully God?

I find it funny that in the old testament, humans lean towards human rulers even they got treated horribly….In 1 Samuel 8:7 God says Israel rejected Him as king and asked for a human ruler. What connection, if any, do Christians see between humanity’s desire for visible earthly authority and faith in the invisible God?

I also believe that the holy trinity doctrine was made to make humans more comfortable. Here’s the historical timeline: Jesus and the apostles: The New Testament contains passages about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, but it does not present a fully formulated doctrine called “the Trinity.”

Now! Theophilus of Antioch AD 180: He is the earliest known writer to use the Greek term Trias in a theological context. Tertullian AD 200: He was the first known Christian writer to use the Latin term Trinitas and to speak of one substance and three persons. Arius controversy early AD 300 argued about whether the Son was fully divine. Council of Nicaea AD 325: Bishops affirmed that the Son is of the same essence as the Father.
Council of Constantinople AD 381: The divinity of the Holy Spirit was affirmed, and the doctrine took the form that became standard in mainstream Christianity.

These are all early theologians who kept shifting, changing, implementing doctrines….because they rejected our Heavenly Father.

Now here are the scriptures I’m referring to:

Verses where Jesus prays to the Father:

Jesus prays regularly
Luke 5:16
“But He would withdraw to desolate places and pray.”
Luke 6:12
“In these days He went out to the mountain to pray, and all night He continued in prayer to God.”
Luke 9:18
“Now it happened that as He was praying alone…”
Luke 9:28–29
Jesus went up the mountain “to pray.”

Jesus directly addresses the Father:

The Lord’s Prayer
Matthew 6:9
“Our Father in heaven…”
At Lazarus’ tomb
John 11:41–42
“Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. I knew that You always hear Me…”
The High Priestly Prayer
John 17:1
“Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son…”
John 17:3
“This is eternal life, that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
John 17:5
“Father, glorify Me in Your own presence…”
John 17:11
“Holy Father, keep them in Your name…”
John 17:21
“As You, Father, are in Me, and I in You…”

Jesus says the Father sent Him:

John 5:30
“I seek not My own will but the will of Him who sent Me.”
John 6:38
“I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will but the will of Him who sent Me.”
John 7:16
“My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me.”
John 8:42
“I came from God and I am here. I came not of My own accord, but He sent Me.”
John 12:49
“The Father who sent Me has Himself given Me a commandment.”
John 14:24
“The word that you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.”

Jesus distinguishes Himself from the Father:

John 14:28
“The Father is greater than I.”
John 20:17
“I am ascending to My Father and your Father, to My God and your God.”
Mark 13:32
“Concerning that day or that hour, no one knows… not even the Son, but only the Father.”

Jesus submits to the Father’s will:

Gethsemane
Matthew 26:39
“My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”
Matthew 26:42
“Your will be done.”
Luke 22:42
“Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me. Nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done.”

Jesus cries out to the Father on the cross:

Matthew 27:46
“My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
Luke 23:34
“Father, forgive them…”
Luke 23:46
“Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.”

I have a gym crush…..

Hear me out people of Reddit nation!

Soooooo….

BOOM!

I’m a 33F! I’ve been working out consistently for a year. BODY LOOKING TEA! I have a few admirers at the gym but I never pay them no mind. So there’s this handsome fella who works there, super attentive, quiet, stoic, built, super kind…..when it comes to his physique..think of a nerd with built body but nice strong jaw..nice lips…not thin like the rest of them LOL!

Anyways the last few months, I’ve been catching him starring at me! Mind you…I go to the gym with no make up on! Bare face but coordinate cute work out outfits with my waist trainer…

When it comes to him making eye contact with me, I’ve always thought “whatever he’s probably just doing his job….”

So ….whenever I move around the gym, he moves around.
When he’s with a client *doing personal training* he also comes around. I thought “that’s odd”…but not in a creepy way. I don’t mind it, I kinda like the attention he gives me, it’s subtle not too overwhelming.

Today I walked in…feeling a little unmotivated so I pumped myself up, listened to music, tried on new equipments for the first time…Since I always hide in the main room and just do Pilates on my own or do boring fitness classes.

Anyways! As I moved to the other equipments, it was an area full of men, and they kept checking me out but I was so focused on my workout…little do I know I feel someone starring at me from across the gym….and it was HIM! FIXATED! You all know how men get when a woman they like is around other men hahahhahaha

So I finished my workout and I went to go stretch …did a little meditation, thank my body, and little do I know ……I see a girl at the counter with him, leaning by him, talking to him close…and it made me feel weird inside. I tried to process that weird emotion in the moment..

I’m an expressive person so I tried to hard not to show that I was a little bit caught off guard …as I am processing…was this perhaps jealousy? is that weird to say?

When I was exiting…well he got away from her and turn his entire body towards me to wish me a goodnight.

On my walk home, I needed to process what I was feeling…

I kept thinking….
“ i have too much going on in my life…it’s not the right time for these stupid crushes, or to date anyone for that matter…im switching careers. Im moving before the end of the year. “

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING!

I want to be numb and feel nothing.

A little about my past…I’ve always dated older men who are financially independent, resourceful, but not as kind as him. And sometimes Handsome Fella at the gym tries to have conversations with me but I turn cold because I’m sweating and I don’t feel comfortable letting him see me like this….

And I’ve always said, I would hate to meet my life partner at the gym or at the grocery store. My mind is running a mile a minute focused on getting results. I have a little adhd so you know staying focus is hard.

Anyways …Should I just forget it and mind my business.

A serious question for Christians that’s been on my mind?

I’m genuinely trying to understand the different Christian interpretations of the end times.

Our Loving Father promised that His people would inherit the Kingdom, be gathered from the nations, and that Our Messiah would reign as King. So why is a pre-tribulation rapture preached so widely in modern Christianity, while the prophets repeatedly speak about a future gathering of our Elohim’s people that many call the “Second Exodus”?

Here are the passages I’m referring to:

Jeremiah 23:7–8 (NKJV)
“Therefore, behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “that they shall no longer say, ‘As the LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘As the LORD lives who brought up and led the descendants of the house of Israel from the north country and from all the countries where I had driven them.’ And they shall dwell in their own land.”

Isaiah 11:11–12 (NKJV)
“It shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Assyria and Egypt, from Pathros and Cush, from Elam and Shinar, from Hamath and the islands of the sea. He will set up a banner for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.”

Ezekiel 20:34–38 (NKJV)
“I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will plead My case with you face to face. Just as I pleaded My case with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will plead My case with you,” says the Lord GOD. “I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; I will purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the country where they dwell, but they shall not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”

When I read these passages, I see a future gathering from the nations, a wilderness experience that parallels the Exodus from Egypt, covenant purification, and restoration under the reign of our Messiah.

So my question for Christians who hold a pre-tribulation rapture view is:

How do you interpret these passages?
Do you believe they were already fulfilled?
Do they apply only to ethnic Israel and not to believers in Messiah?
Are they separate from the rapture?
Or do you see them as describing a future end-time gathering that happens instead of, or in connection with, the rapture?

I’m asking sincerely to understand the scriptural reasoning behind the different views, not to argue.

Manu Cornuto

I want to go there so bad! It’s one of my fav spot!

But all my friends want to do now is go to high restaurants.

I’d love to go alone, but I used to go with friends who would visit me from Toronto and we would split their delicious burrata, with their amazing salad (I always ask for the recipe but they gatekeep it), and do a man course nice pasta, with a casual desert.

Of course a bottle of wine, with free shots from the server LOL

Mouth is drooling just thinking about it.

I’m a little sad….I’ have no one to go with

Thinking of luxury Gym to socialize and work out?

HI YALL!
Hellllpppppppp….

My current gym membership ends in October, and I’ve been seriously considering Midtown Le Sanctuaire as my next gym. At first it seemed perfect for what I’m looking for: classes, a more upscale environment, a juice bar, restaurant/cafe space, and somewhere I can actually stay after a workout instead of rushing home.
I work from home, so part of my goal is not just fitness, it’s also to decompress, be around people, and socialize a bit more. I’m quite social and I’d love a place where I could grab a juice or coffee after a class, maybe work for an hour, and naturally meet other professionals or entrepreneurs.

Okay…….so!
The problem is that I started reading reviews and now I’m getting anxious. A lot of the 2025–2026 reviews are surprisingly negative aka complaints about staff, food quality, customer service, overcrowding, and the overall experience. I initially assumed it was mostly because of the renovations, but the complaints seem to continue even after that.

So I’m wondering:

Is Midtown Le Sanctuaire actually worth the price in 2026? Have the renovation issues been resolved?
How is the atmosphere for someone in their 30s who wants both fitness and social interaction? Do people genuinely network there, or is that more of a marketing idea? Is the restaurant/juice bar/cafe area somewhere you’d realistically spend time after a workout?
I’m not looking for the cheapest gym. I’m looking for a place that feels like a wellness + social + productivity space, not just a room with machines.
If you’ve been a member recently (especially in the last 6–12 months), I’d really appreciate honest feedback.
Also, if you think there are better alternatives in Montreal, I’m very open to recommendations.

Thanks in advance!

If MEN JUST WANT SEX, why do they cosplay trying to be in a relationship instead of just paying a sex worker?

Help! I want to go out dancing.

I used to live in Toronto and after dinner me and my friends found some really cool spots to go out dancing! I know a cool spot for disco, Afro beats, house, even nice lounges with great DJs!

Now me and a few friends here in Montreal are heading out for dinner and we love to go out dancing right after…

Now we did it all. Le balcon, Santos, Muze, bar George, Marcus, bordelle, Yoko Luna, Velvet and the list goes on. Not in a mood to name all the other spots in old port….

But we’re looking for a few spots/lounges where it’s people over 35 plus, with a great DJ even live music I wouldn’t mind!

Open to all recommendations!

Thank you all in advance
