The "pull-out" mechanic for Abyss has got to go.
For Abyss rares, you want to drag them out of the fog they appear in to increase the chances of them dropping high-value omens like Omen of Abyssal Echoes or Omen of Light - otherwise you're much more likely to get low-value ones like Omen of the Liege. The community has aptly named it the "pull-out tech"
Being effectively punished for having a build that can kill everything as it spawns feels bad, it's against the entire fantasy of an ARPG, and when you really get into it: it just doesn't make sense. Would it not be better and more interesting for the fog areas to be loot multipliers, so that I have a HIGHER chance of getting high-value drops if I kill them in that space before they move out of it, instead of breaking up the gameplay to try to kite them into a different area? Shouldn't more build power equal more loot, instead of the reverse?
Nobody likes pulling out.
The weekend is coming, I've got 100 div and I'm tired of hunting monkeys. What should I build?
Since last week's thread worked so well I'm looking for something else to play, preferably that goes fast and is tanky. Bonus if it's on Huntress, Sorceress or Mercenary so I don't have to redo campaign, but I can be talked into anything. Played Grenades, Spark COC Comet and now Monkey Spirit Walker.
Crusing through T15s and setting up ritual chains but I can't find an extra crits monkey. As much as I love how stupidly tanky I am, I wanna go faster, and I'm tired of chasing monkeys. Any recommendations for something I can get online and deathless speed blasting juiced T15s within 100div at today's prices? (meaning no Mageblood etc)
Looking at one of these Gemling builds... but there's so many to choose from 🥴 maybe the fubgooners are liquidating their leaguestart deadeyes...
Since Monkey can kill everything, what do you think is the *fastest* version of a Monkey Summoner in 0.5 (with and without mageblood)
It's a few weeks into the league and there's a few variants out there now. There's Ghazzy's guide, I've seen Mattjestic's endgame version that uses Chober Chaber w/ Giant's Blood, Zizaran's starter, lots of people on poe.ninja using Sylvan's Effigy for more of a zoo style, some people are playing Chayula Monk, some are playing Spirit Walker, etc. The list goes on.
There's a lot out there, and for someone who didn't league start a Monkey build it's somewhat overwhelming to get my head around now, saved only by the fact that you can pick basically any of them and blast. I'm not someone who enjoys a lot of experimentation in POE, I prefer to have clear goals set and to chase them, so not keen on trying a ton of different spins on the build. But considering Monkey's giga damage you can cut a bit to enable a bit more clear speed while still smashing basically any boss - do any of these variants stand out above the rest? What's been your experience?
Asking for a with and without mageblood context because of how Mageblood can totally warp the rest of your build, I understand it's basically a requirement to get the absolute maximum speed.
The weekend is coming and I've got ~50D. What are the must-play Builds of 0.5 thus far?
Playing Spark COC Comet stormweaver, it's excellent but I'm feeling something else (edit: my thoughts on it in this comment, following animeprincess' guide - it's very good)
Got FOMO for the Monkey stuff which will surely not survive. Repulsion sounded cool. Not super interested in Grim Pillar totems. I don't have a mageblood or an insane budget but more than enough to get something new into t15s - suggestions appreciated
