Salut!

Lucrez in prezent in Londra in IT, pe partea de Device Management (Jamf Pro si Intune).
Eu si sotia ne gandim sa ne mutam in Bucuresti anul viitor, undeva in perioada vara-toamna, si incerc sa imi fac o idee cat mai realista despre piata video din Romania.

Din ce am observat pana acum, experienta mea din IT este destul de nisata. Am impresia ca multe dintre rolurile pe care le gasesc in Romania sunt mai degraba in zona de helpdesk/support, iar pentru salarii de 5000-6000 lei ma intreb daca nu ar fi mai bine sa ma focusez pe ceva ce imi place cu adevarat si fac deja in timpul liber: video si editare.

Momentan am doua canale de YouTube:

Pe ambele fac absolut tot: research, script, lumini, filmare, sunet, editare, color grading, thumbnails etc. Nisa este cea de ceasuri.

Am avut si cateva colaborari, atat in Romania cat si in afara:

1. Kultho
2. Breitling Romania
3. Paulin Watches
4. CIGA Design

Nu am castigat foarte mult din asta deoarece am tratat totul mai mult ca pe un hobby si o pasiune.

Pe viitor mi-ar placea sa ma dezvolt in zona de:

1. Reclame si spoturi publicitare
2. Content pentru social media
3. Interviuri
4. Music videos
5. Evenimente si nunti (mai ales highlights, nu neaparat filmari clasice de 2-3 ore).

La nunti nu am portofoliu in momentul de fata.

Am deja echipament video destul de bun si probabil voi mai investi pe parcurs. In trecut am facut si fotografie, in special portrete, beauty si retouching pentru cateva reviste mai mici.

Pentru cei care lucrati in domeniu sau aveti agentii/business-uri:

1. Cum vedeti piata video si editing in Romania in 2026?
2. Exista cerere reala pentru freelanceri?
3. Cat de greu este sa iti construiesti o baza de clienti de la zero in Bucuresti?
4. Ce tip de servicii se cauta cel mai mult?
5. La ce ar trebui sa ma astept in primul an?

Orice sfat sau experienta personala este binevenita.

Mi-ar placea foarte mult sa colaborez cu oameni din domeniu pe viitor si sa invat de la cei care fac deja asta de ceva timp.

My first camera was a Fujifilm S5700, a gift from my sister. Looking back, it was never really about the camera itself. It was about what it unlocked: a way of seeing the world, a reason to slow down, to notice light, moments, and memories that would have otherwise slipped away.

Over the years, cameras came and went, but that first spark never disappeared. Funny how life works, sometimes it takes decades to bring you back to where it all began.

This X100VI isn’t mine. It’s a gift for my wife, so she can start her own journey with photography. In a way, it reminds me of that S5700 all those years ago. One gift started a passion that shaped part of my life, perhaps this one will do the same for her.

We often think photographs preserve moments, but maybe they preserve something else too: the people who inspired us, the paths that led us here, and the quiet connections that continue across generations.

The camera is different. The feeling is exactly the same.

Some stories don’t end, they simply find a new person to continue them.

I’m a hobbyist filmmaker trying to slowly move toward cinematography professionally at some point, so I’ve been using watch videos as a way to learn lighting, editing, colour grading and sound design.
