After almost 20 years, I’ve come back to Fuji.

My first camera was a Fujifilm S5700, a gift from my sister. Looking back, it was never really about the camera itself. It was about what it unlocked: a way of seeing the world, a reason to slow down, to notice light, moments, and memories that would have otherwise slipped away.

Over the years, cameras came and went, but that first spark never disappeared. Funny how life works, sometimes it takes decades to bring you back to where it all began.

This X100VI isn’t mine. It’s a gift for my wife, so she can start her own journey with photography. In a way, it reminds me of that S5700 all those years ago. One gift started a passion that shaped part of my life, perhaps this one will do the same for her.

We often think photographs preserve moments, but maybe they preserve something else too: the people who inspired us, the paths that led us here, and the quiet connections that continue across generations.

The camera is different. The feeling is exactly the same.

Some stories don’t end, they simply find a new person to continue them.

A few frames from a watch review/personal project I recently shot and graded.

I wanted to go for a darker cinematic look with cooler shadows and selective warm/red highlights rather than a clean commercial grade.

Shot on:
Sony A7C II
Sony 90 Macro
Helios 44-2

The full project took around 50 hours total and was shot entirely in my living room/kitchen.

Always open to honest critique.

A few stills from a watch review/personal project I’ve been putting together.

I’m a hobbyist filmmaker trying to slowly move toward cinematography professionally at some point, so I’ve been using watch videos as a way to learn lighting, editing, colour grading and sound design.

This one was shot entirely in my living room/kitchen on:
Sony A7C II
Sony 90 Macro
Helios 44-2

The full project took around 50 hours total and was done for free for the brand.

Still finishing the sound design, but I’d genuinely love some feedback on the visuals and overall feel/style.

A few frames from a personal project I’ve been working on.

The idea was to make a darker/more cinematic watch review rather than the usual clean commercial look.

Shot entirely in my living room/kitchen on:
A7C II + Sony 90 Macro + Helios 44-2

This is my third project in this style and the full video took roughly 50 hours between planning, scripting, shooting, voice over, editing, grading, etc.

Still finishing the sound design, but I was curious what people think about the cinematography, lighting and overall mood/style.

Always trying to improve, so honest feedback is welcome
