L-R: Classic SD Precious Alox, Rambler, Onyx Black Sig Lite. The Sig Lite has no scale tools (like the Classic SD) due to the pen and LED light.
The Classic SD Alox thickness comes in at a mere 5.5mm; the Rambler, 10.5mm; and the Sig Lite at 12.2mm. (measured with my calipers)
But you know what? It doesn't matter to me! ๐คฃ I currently have the Sig Lite on my keychain because I love the look of the Onyx Black! (and the pen is pretty useful, too) Its thickness doesn't bother me in the least, because I have a bunch of other stuff on my keychain and I don't even notice the Sig Lite's thickness.
I was only curious, & I'm sure some of you also were, what the thickness is between these models.

I bet that some of you thought this was a Rambler at first glance. Nope! ๐คฃ Classic SD, "Precious Alox." Impossibly thin, tough, and beautiful - all at the same time.
About a month or two ago, there was a rose-colored (or pink) alox Rambler on ebay, which after taxes and fees, would have cost me nearly $100 usd. I just couldn't do it since I could get this beauty for 1/3 the price! (and there is no way the Rambler's combo tool alone is worth another $65 usd!! Especially since I have no need for it on a daily basis. lol)
Black Ice (2013) and Onyx Black Spartans! FYI they are close to the same level of darkness, but the way the light hits the blade in photos doesn't always make it look that way.
Quick funny story: I learned the value of camo many moons ago. In my teens, I was bowhunting and in camo from head to toe, face even painted camo, standing about 10 feet up in an apple tree. Two other hunters approached my tree after awhile. When they got to about 15 yards away, facing toward me, I cleared my throat so they'd know I was there. They jumped so hard that I think I saw their souls leave their bodies! ๐คฃ๐๐คฃ I'll never forget that.
Just got this case and really like it. It's the Thule Gauntlet Sleeve. The 14 inch size fits the 13" Macbook Air perfectly. It has a padded interior and semi-rigid exterior, so should provide excellent protection.

Just received the Sig Lite, which joins my Onyx Black RangerGrip 55 and Spartan. Didn't realize till I re'cvd it that the Sig Lite has no nail file. (weird!) But I guess it makes up for it with the pen and LED light.
These are so well done. I was looking at details of the Spartan yesterday. The corkscrew is black, the keyring is black, the entire backside of the knife is black - even the liners are black! ๐
Weird coincidence: after I ordered the Sig Lite yesterday, I happened to notice that I had ordered the RangerGrip 55 exactly one year prior, 23 July 2025! It must have been destiny. ๐คฃ

Since I've decided that the Spartan will be one of my top SAK models for daily carry, I felt I must have a Spartan Wood, so here it is! ๐ Add to that a Classic SD "Sunny Side" for the keychain, and it's a nice combo!
This Spartan Wood is also what Iโd carry if I need to class up a joint. ๐๐คฃ

I recently picked up a Wenger Esquire, which I just assumed was a 58mm keychain knife. But no!!! Went to use it today to open a box, and I thought, wow, this seems bigger than the sak (58mm) that used to be on my keychain! Sure enough, it is!
65mm as opposed to the std Victorinox 58mm keychain size knife. My Brook Trout 58mm is pictured next to the Esquire.
The body of the SAK is bigger, & so is the knife, the file, & the scissors! (see pics) Yet, it's no more obtrusive on my keychain than the 58mms that I've been carrying, to-date.
I'm not trying to convince anybody of this. I know we all have our own needs and preferences. After acquiring and carrying many different SAKs in recent years, these are some of my reasons why the Spartan is near the top for my everyday EDC!!
I will say that if I'm going into the woods or think I might need a wood saw, I'll carry a 111mm or 130mm knife for that. Those can't be beat among SAKs for their capability to saw wood. (or, if I think I might possibly need a magnifier, the Explorer most likely gets the call!) ๐
