If I'm not mistaken the tang stamp is 1964-65 to 1969 the modelp158 lssp wasn't released until 1971. Dating with dots was started in 70 this one has no dots. Can someone make sense of this

Sodbusters

A couple of recently made fullsize Sodbusters. Pretty nice. Blades are centered, pull is smooth but could be stiffer.

Made a sheath for ‘em out of 8-9oz Hermann Oak.

Cattaragus Cutlery knife

Hey guys I found this beauty at a local antique shop this weekend for $10. I wasn’t familiar with this brand name but as soon as I picked it up I knew it was special by how well it’s made. It’s almost mint condition and the blades have the best snap out of all the traditional knives I own. Can anyone tell me what model this knife is and any history or possible date of the model. Sadly the model number is not on the knife. Thanks

Finally part of the club...

Yellow Delrin with CV. My second Case and my first peanut. I can see why it's so popular.

Case Fixed Blade in Action - Graveyard of the Pacific

I don’t see lots of pics of people using their knives so I thought I would post one. Its my only fixed blade Case, a modest 316. Here I am using it to shuck an Oyster and use as bait for catching Dungeness 🦀 on the South Jetty of the Columbia River Bar. Clatsop Spit, OR

Info about this Case inherited from my cousin

My cousin, who was like a brother, gave me all of his long guns and fixed blade knives before he passed. I stored them in my gun safe and have only recently pulled them out again.

I was wondering if anyone was familiar with this knife, including blade description. I assume it is 1970s-era. The unoriginal sheath is how it came to me. Also, while I have no interest in selling, its value is something I am interested in learning. Thank you.

Been carrying my favorite Case this past week...

This is my 1975 Case 2231 1/2 SAB Heavy Jack, or as I call it my Slick Black Jack. This thing's backspring is heavy and it snaps shut like a gator. It has been an almost constant pocket companion over the years and it has stayed amazingly sharp with very little need to touch up the edge. May not be as flashy as some others but it gets the job done.
