Case QC Question

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone has noticed any changes in the QC lately, or is it still the same old, same old?

I don’t live in the USA, so I’m hesitant due to the expensive and slow international shipping, plus the 15% import duty on top.

I imported 5 Case knives about 4–5 years ago, and honestly, I found that a $12 Chinese slipjoint had better fit and finish. It was quite disappointing like way off-centre blades, gaps, crappy sharpening edge, backsprings sticking up, etc.

What's the QC like nowadays?

Newbie Curiosity: Nick Swan Slipjoints

Hi, I’ve recently been looking at Nick Swan's slipjoint knife and went through his FB group. I noticed the slipjoints are anywhere from $600–680 depending on the scale material, but I’ve also noticed people selling them for $700–750 on the secondary market or at least $85+ markup from the original price.
Does anyone know what’s driving the secondary market inflation? Is it just scalpers taking advantage of the small-batch lotto releases?
