Went through the IDES process for the medboard. Received a proposed rating of 90% from the VA and 50% from the DOD.

I received the proposed rating back in the beginning of June this year. I’ve medically retired from the navy July 31st. I checked the VA app this morning to see that my closed claim (from June when I got the proposed rating) has been reopened and is on step 5.

I looked over the rating letter and saw that there’s a few claims that say “deferred” for the decision. My lawyer for the medboard told me to find evidence in my records to submit them, but they aren’t there for those deferred conditions….. I don’t know what to about this.

Would it most likely be in the notes only medical providers or even my VA MSC could see? My VA MSC added conditions where, I had an x ray done and the x ray tech told me I had a kidney stone, but wasn’t added to the notes nor did I tell the VA MSC about it, was added to my claims. Where would they get that from?

Does anyone know if my disability claims won’t be finalized due to not having evidence, or would they just be denied?

I’ve looked through my entire medical record. There are no notes or a diagnosis for the deferred conditions my VA MSC added to my claims.

I’ve just been medically retired from the navy, due to chronic back pain. I also can’t stand longer than 5 minutes so I’m pretty limited unfortunately.

Haven’t had any luck applying to contractor jobs for what I worked on in the navy. I don’t have a degree and am very indecisive.

No clue what I’d go to school for and I’m very discouraged to going to school again.

I have 6 years of experience in referral testing/data entry at an esoteric lab, but the lab I worked at before won’t hire me (new supervisor dislikes me, not sure why, there’s no other facility that’s close to where I live)

I do have a morbid curiosity, but I’m not smart enough to go to school for anything in the medical field such as mortician jobs. I can’t lift heavy weight so EMT or nursing (moving patients on / off the beds) is out of the question. I also have an interest in watching PD stuff or even those true crime shows, but I also know I probably can’t do that either.

Idk. I don’t have any mentors nor family or friends that I can go to so I can discuss my options with them. I’m very lost on what to do since my plan A (going back to the lab) failed.

Filed for unemployment due to getting out of the military. I just got a $450 payment today… I’ve certified the 2 weeks online yesterday and I’ve also just mailed the work search paper where you annotated where you’ve applied to.

I’ve uploaded my resume onto the CalJobs website, but I’m not sure if I need to do anything else. The letter I’ve received last week only said to upload my resume onto there….. Do I have to do anything else?

I’ve been retired from the military and have applied for unemployment. I am disabled, but only for the military so I can still work as a civilian.

I’ve called the EDD many times to be put on hold for hours or even the automated system hangs up on me.

For the work search record Section B for the continued claim where you answer if you’ve worked or not for 2 weeks, what do I put in the “Results: Please explain” section if I was not hired for the jobs I’ve applied to?

I don’t want to write down “declined” because I don’t know if the EDD would think that I declined the job offer… does anyone know the correct term I need to put there? I’ve applied to 5 places so far and all have said they’re going to continue with other candidates.

I’m finally out the navy. I was on terminal for 30 days and I got a check that was double what I get paid. My LES said $0.00 for the end of month payment and I couldn’t figure out why I was paid so much… I checked everything and I went into NSIPS to see that my leave days were never used for terminal and it also increased my leave days due to this months leave being accrued.

My terminal leave was routed on paper and my admin sucks but, who am I supposed to talk about this to? Do I leave it be? I don’t want to have to pay the navy back unexpectedly, but I’d like this resolved I guess?

Does anyone know when you’re able to get your retired ID?

I called the ID lab at NASNI and was told to go before my EAOS date and not after my PDRL date, but my admin and people in charge of the medboard personnel said I need to wait until after the day I’m retired.

Base is pretty far from where I live now and I would like to avoid needing to go there twice if I show up on the wrong day. I cannot drive out far due to my disability.

TLDR: roommates will not lock the door even with me always saying to do it. They don’t see it as a safety issue and I keep coming home to the backyard door being unlocked or opened.

I feel like a crazy person. My concerns for safety have never been taken seriously.

The issue is that two roommates (out of 6) keep leaving the backyard sliding door opened constantly when they leave or even they leave it unlocked and go stay inside their room (there’s many other issues with only these 2 roommates and they’re not on the lease)

To me, leaving it unlocked and going to hide in your room is an issue because you won’t prevent someone from coming in or see that. I’ve stated to the other 2 out of 3 (third person on lease is my bf) people on the lease why this concerns me. There’s also a million guns just laying out unsecured in the house. If someone sees any, which they will since they leave the curtains wide open AND the door unlocked, we’re going to get robbed or I’m always thinking of the night stalker thing.

I can’t move out due to insufficient funds right now… but Jesus Christ I keep coming home to no one there or I wake up and I’m the only one home to where the door is just unlocked or slightly left opened.

The landlord won’t communicate with us so that’s out of the question. I’m not allowed (LOL) to confront the 2 roommates that leave it unlocked, they don’t clean, and they’ve brought fleas into the house for being nasty people who neglect their dogs, because the ones on the lease think I’m going to be rude and hurt the 2 roommates feelings. It’s very very hard for my to hold my tongue especially in this instance because I’m fed up with them and I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with roommates during my 5 years in the military. I’m going to explode on them and it’s just hard. I have nowhere else to go since I don’t have friends and an unsupportive family

Unfortunately am in a situation where a roommate is just an untidy, disrespectful person and has presented us with fleas. She has elderly dogs that she doesn’t care for and they defecate in her room and the entire house smells of a dog pound or if your face is right where the excrement comes out of (sorry this is the best I can explain how POTENT the smell is) is what it smells like.

I’m a very clean person and no matter how often I’m disinfecting everything, the house just smells due to this person’s living habits. Her room is next to mine and the smell is so strong in front of her closed door and the smell is now in my room.

So I am here to ask what can I use to prevent fleas from going to my room or spreading throughout the house? The fleas are in the backyard and another roommate has ordered a spray to use, but I’d like to not get fleas in the house.

Haven’t noticed any and the dogs having fleas was barely brought to my attention yesterday…. We don’t know how long they’ve had them for.

Please. I live there with my bf and I am going back and fourth from that house to my parents house a few houses down to visit my dog and cat there and younger siblings… I do not wish to bring them with me or I even told my family I won’t go over until this is solved.

(Those on the lease -my bf and his friend- originally said no pets were allowed, but that nasty roommate snuck these animals in)

Enlisted and did 4 and a half years. I went the IDES route for the medboard and was given 50% DOD rating as well as being put on the PDRL and a proposed 90% VA disability (it hasn’t finalized just yet).

I’ve been told by a senior chief in charge of the LIMDU/medboard personnel that I am NOT going to be medically retired as well as a few people in admin (YN, and a PS) but my COC said that I am being medically retired. Throughout the entire medboard I’ve gotten different answers from people who directly work with people going through a medboard.

I do know that I’ll only get the VA disability pay as I wasn’t able to do the full 20 (dreams are crushed) but what else am I entitled to? When I ask questions pertaining to what I need to do or what I’m entitled to its also usually a “go ask this person” I go ask and am told to ask the person who sent me to them so… I don’t know where to go from here.

What does being put on the PDRL mean for me?

For getting an ID card, where exactly do I need to go to and do I ask for a retiree card or do I get the VA card instead?

I’m so sorry that this isn’t as straightforward for me as I’d like it to be. All the different answers I’ve gotten is very conflicting and it’s been frustrating to figure this out on my own.

TLDR: Are there any plug in deodorizers that could remove dog poop and urine smell when a roommate will NOT clean up after the animals which causes the entire house to smell?

Firstly, I am not on the lease for this house, only my bf, his friend. The issue we have is with his friend’s brothers girlfriend who live with us. The friends younger brother(19) and his gf (23) are not on the lease, I’ve moved in since I just got out of the military.

They’ve tried talking to the younger brothers gf, who is the problem. She’s disrespectful, blames other people for her messes, doesn’t clean up after herself etc. basically the epitome of a terrible roommate. Nothing they’ve done works since the others think problems go away without demanding a change or being strict/stern with people or implementing rules. They’ve been walked over on and just used by the kid and his gf, and they won’t allow me to tell the gf to clean up after herself since they see it as me “being mean” (this makes me feel crazy for wanting to tell someone to be respectful and to take accountability for what they’re doing wrong)

She has multiple dogs who just go to the restroom in their room and in the house too and won’t clean it up as well as all the droppings in both yards. The odor has just taken over the entire house now and I’m losing my shit. I’ve had so many disgusting roommates during my time in the military and just don’t have it in me to deal with those kind of people anymore. Before anyone says to just move out, my bf and I aren’t financially ready for that yet. I tried reasoning with people and they just do not change.

I’m planning on buying a plug in to put in front of their room and just about wherever else I feel would help, but usually those scent things mask the smell without fixing the problem.

I have tried reasoning with my bfs friend who is on the lease but they just won’t listen to me yet they are always complaining about the younger brother and his gf being slobs in the house and not respecting them. Even with how often I clean (bathroom, kitchen so they smell nice) it is not enough.

I am at then end of my rope. They won’t bother to go through the lease agreement to see if there’s like occupant violations because their mentality is that this issue with the gf isn’t an issue. Literally every problem a crap roommate can give someone is present with this girl. Textbook bad roommate any post on this sub pretty much explains how this kid is.

I just started taking Levora on the 28th of June, last Sunday. On the 6th day the condom my partner and I were using broke so we went ahead and got a plan b since many posts / the internet and even the information leaflet say you aren’t protected until after 7 fulls days of taking the pill and to go ahead and take a plan b.

So now due to taking the plan b because of that, how long do we need to wait until we’re protected?

We do use the combo birth control pills and condoms as well but I’ve never had this issue and I am very stressed over this. I just lost my insurance so I can’t call an obgyn to ask about this

I have asked my PEBLO (they give me attitude when I call them or see them in person, like they don’t want to do their job) many questions as well as my admin and I still don’t know what is going on with my case. Have been told I’m getting medically retired and that I am not so…?

Was told to fill out a retirement packet to get paid for the SRB, yet I’ve looked all this up and I’m confused. I don’t fully understand how that works. I’m not getting help from those who are supposed to be helping me. I keep getting different answers when someone does answer a question, but it’s never a definitive one.

Can anyone who’s gone through a medboard add in some input, please?

A few of my partners shirts have a type of mildew, old smell to them even after I wash them. After they’ve been washed, the smell goes away and then it just comes back after a day or two.

I don’t know how or why this happens. My clothes are in the same dresser as his are, but they do not have that odor. We’ve also just purchased the dresser so it’s brand new..

His family has a lot of cats so could that be it? One of them did pee on a backpack of his and in his laundry basket one time.

Do I need to use a specific detergent to get rid of that old smell? Or do I need to “strip” the clothing as I’ve seen done on this sub? Or… just throw the smelly shirts out since it just keeps smelling bad a few days after they’ve been washed.

I use the liquid Tide detergent (the sport one?) and I do not use fabric softener.

Was driving home after work today for my time off of 1 week, so a 5 hour drive, and there was traffic stopping then going fast, stopping and so on.
I noticed something in between a lane and as I got closer it was a little bunny just sitting there.

I lost my shit and started crying. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for 2 hours and my face/eyes (?) hurt so bad from crying. I haven’t been emotional like this since I was taking lexapro… I’m not taking any of those meds anymore but I do have existential depression, but diagnosed with MDD and GAD.

I’m pretty reserved and have noticed that I get upset and sometimes cry when I see animals on the road. This one was worse because it was sitting there just waiting to be ): taken away from us.

Am I over reacting? I still feel like crap over it and just sad.

Currently have the 2016 F sport ct. I had a 2017 base model and it got totaled, but I had purchased a spoiler for the 2017 and it doesn’t fit the 2016 F sport that I have. (I know it’ll look dumb, but I’m going through my mid life crisis car thing right now)

I’ve never been to a “food festival” and it’s one of the things I think I want to go to before I move away from San Diego in a few months…..
