1:72 Jet Recommendations

Hello everyone,

I want to build my third scale model with a handbrush before getting an airbrush (will probably get it 4 months later).
My first model was the Revell F-15E, and I shared my experience with my second model, the 1:72 Zvezda SU-30SM kit, in my previous post. I give up on this model
I am looking for a new model now. 1:72 scale and cheaper options. I would like to build Cold War or modern jets. I will probably get one of these jets: F-16, F-14, Eurofighter, Gripen. I saw some good comments about the Academy F-14A model.

Do you have any kit recommendations?

I give up on this model

Hi everyone,

I have been building this model since last February. This is my second model. The first one was a 1:72 F-15E. It was okay. I wanted to build a more detailed and better model.

With this one, I ended up with a very nice cockpit that I was satisfied. I was happy about it, but after that, everything went wrong.

Firstly, there was a gap in the cockpit glasses. I tried to "fix" it with heat. I thought maybe I could soften it a bit and close the gap. But, it went the opposite of what I wanted.

Then, I just continued after accepting my mistake. I use the handbrushing for painting. It was not how I wanted. I scraped the paint 3 times. The first one had lots of brush marks, the second had filled panel lines with paint (almost no visible panel lines), and the third one I used spray primer, and I tried to do panel lines with pencil and DIY acrylic wash.

Then, I tried to do the panel lines with oil wash (oil paint + white spirit). Failed. Panel lines were too shallow. The capillary action didn't work at all. Removed the wash and continued to build.

Lastly, I tried scribing. I used a hobby blade for scribing, tried both sharp and dull. My expectation was low, and it went as I thought.

I give up on this build. I made lots of mistakes and learned lots of things with this model. I will get a 1:48 scale model next time (this model is 1:72). I want to get an airbrush, but currently don't have enough space and money :( .

I wanted to share my experience. Do you have any new model recommendations? I will use the handbrush. When I look for beginner friendly model recommendations, it is mostly WW 2 planes. I prefer more modern vehicles, cold War or post cold war. Jets or tanks.

5% Lidocaine cream worked for me

Hi everyone,

I (26M) have lifelong PE. I have a gf for 4 years, and from the beginning, I suffered from PE for the first round. I sometimes ejaculate even trying to enter her, sometimes I need to stay still inside her, or sometimes I need to be extremely slow. If I start stroking, I ejaculate in a maximum of 20 seconds.

I feel my frenulum is extremely sensitive in the first round. During a blowjob, if she doesn't touch the frenulum, I don't have any problem. If she touches, I am on the edge instantly.

However, I can get ready for the second round in 5 minutes and can go for as long as I want most of the time. I don't feel my frenulum during the second round.

I tried Stud100 but it did not change anything. Sensation was there. I tried to apply an excessive amount, but nothing changed.

I bought a 50 mg/g lidocaine cream last week and applied it all over my penis, everywhere. I just wanted to see the maximum effect. Then I wore the condom on it without washing or waiting to dry, and did foreplay for like maybe 10-15 minutes. First, tried missionary. It was okayish, but I needed to be slow. Then, I sat on the couch, and she rode me. That was the best sex for me. I was not totally numb, but I didn't feel my frenulum like normal. The pace was okay. Not too fast, not too slow. I tried doggy and reverse cowgirl, but couldn't make it, and switched back to normal cowgirl.

I didn't count, but it probably lasted like 10-15 minutes. There was no need to go to the second round. We both enjoyed it. Normally, the process of preparing for the second round kills the mood. We can never have sex spontaneously and quickly, like, do it for just one round, stop, and enjoy it. But this experience was exactly what I wanted.

Robot vacuum for full carpet floor

Hello everyone,

I am looking for my first robot vacuum, but I feel overwhelmed just looking at models. There are tons of models and brands, and every brand is making their marketing about mopping.

I need your recommendations. I live in Germany and my budget is around €300. The thing is, I don't need mopping at all. I will never use it. The entire floor is covered with low-pile carpet, which is also used in commercial places like offices. The floor is around 60 m², and there are not that many obstacles. My girlfriend has allergies, so we want to use the robot multiple times a day. I was considering the Roborock Qrevo Master, but if the only difference is the mop, then I don't want to spend money on mopping.

Edit: I am also considering Eufty C10, due to being mopping only and lot cheaper (around €180)

Help with oil panel wash

Hello everyone,

I am trying to learn and apply panel wash for the first time, and have not had a successful result.

The Su-30 in the photo is my second, and the F-15 is my first ever model. I handbrushed both of them. I was not planning to apply panel wash to F-15 in the first place, so I just finished it with 3 gloss and 2 layers of matte varnish. And, the Su-30 has only 2 layers of gloss varnish currently.

I tried oil paints with white spirit as the panel wash. Also, I wanted to contrast, so I applied a lighter color on the Su-30 and a darker one on the F-15.

The thing is that, as you can see in the photo, once I wiped oil paint with a dry paper towel, the paint in the panel lines was also wiped out on the Su-30. But they still remain on the F-15, and it looks like what I wanted. I will clear the panels on the F-15 with the white spirit.

My question is, how can I achieve a similar result on the Su-30? What is the problem? Should I apply matte varnish first, in contrast to every video on youtube says "apply wash on the gloss varnish"? Should I wait longer for the wash to cure?

I let the oil wash to dry overnight, and I wiped it after that. I think the problem is that the panel lanes are too shallow on the Su-30, due to painting it with a handbrush.

Also, another point, the wash does not flow in the panel lines like in the videos. That's why I applied it like in the photo, like just painting on the lines. When I touch the brush, a droplet is formed and does not flow into lines. I tried with a thinner oil paint but got the same results.
