Someone on FB Marketplace posted a giant lot of abandoned storage unit boxes of DVDs asking for best offers. I asked how much she had in mind and she told me "Someone offered $100 but I'd let you know if they no show." I immediately offered $120 and she said "if you can show up ASAP, it's yours!" And I immediately stopped what I was doing and went straight over since it was only a 20 minute drive.

It was 5 dusty boxes full of DVDs including an entire box of just sealed DVDs with some cool Troma and Criterion Collection! There was 1 box of ex-Blockbuster rentals and a separate giant box of nothing but Criterion Collection DVDs in order from #1-100 but unfortunately, every single case had no disc(s) so I assume the original owner kept every single one at their home loose to save space and I can't blame them. Having 100 empty Criterion cases does hurt a little bit.

When I picked up, the woman and I both forgot about 3 giant box sets that she left on her desk and I had to go back to pick them up but I'm so glad they were still around. All 3 sets were sealed: this Buffy the Vampire Slayer which I'll be adding straight into my personal collection, The Wire Complete Series, and the AstroTurf box of Six Feet Under Complete Series!

Even with the entire box of empty Criterion cases, for $120 I am ecstatic with my purchase!
