I want to experience fall for the first time and see the beautiful foliage and do cute fall activities! Where should I go?

I'm driving from South Florida to Virginia for my first fall foliage trip. I recently flew into DC and spent time in Staunton, Virginia and Shenandoah this week and it was a dream. I want to see more cute Appalachian towns mixed with genuinely creepy/haunted places this fall once the leaves start to turn. What would you add? I imagine fall on the east coast is prettiest from Georgia up to New England. Thanks for your suggestions!

Gilmore girls vibe for foliage trip!

I'm driving from South Florida to Virginia for my first fall foliage trip. It was such a pleasant change in scenery and now I want to see more cute small towns mixed with genuinely creepy/haunted places this fall once the leaves start to turn. What would you add? I imagine fall on the east coast is prettiest from Georgia up to New England. Thanks for your suggestions! Bonus points if the vibe is similar to Gilmore girls!

Mango sticky rice 🥭🍚

Got very lucky since mango season is almost over here in Florida and the restaurant was ready to stop serving for the season. Soo good

Where can I find a canelé?

I just had one for the first time at a French bakery out of state and surely we have a cafe that serves them here or nearby? Where's it at?

To those of you in the states, are you in the North or South?

I'm Haitian (born and raised in Florida by first gen parents) and I have had enough of this Florida heat and humidity. It's also getting more and more expensive by the year in terms of housing, insurance, and other costs of living, so I'm starting to think seriously about moving up north to maybe Tennessee, Maryland, Virginia, or really anywhere in the DMV. I know that the majority of us are probably in Florida, so I'm wondering for those of you that are elsewhere, how do you like it? I'm afraid of the brutal winters and I wonder if life there during the rest of the year is worth it? And do you have a Haitian community where you are? I can never give up my Haitian food or my language lol

Confetti after the Baltimore show tonight

Olivia and her band were incredible!!! Nothing in this subreddit could've prepared me for how blown away I'd be by her live performance. I'm so lucky to have seen her during her first ever headlining tour in the states 💌❤️💃🏾

Lush haircare for 4c hair recommendations?

Does anyone have any good hair care recommendations for Lush? I am a big fan of melanin hair care because the products from that line are clean and at a good price, but they're always out of stock for months at a time and I can't live waiting like that. I just started using Glory conditioner from lush, and it's incredible! I wanted to know if there is anything else you all use that you'd really recommend?

Antibiotics before scalp pilar cyst removal for 3 weeks. Overkill or not?

Question is as stated in title. I have a 2 cm pilar cyst on the back of my head and it's been there for as long as I can remember. Probably 25 years now, and I'm 30 years old. I suspected it was a pilar cyst before seeing the derm, and she confirmed it during my appointment this morning. I mentioned to her that within the past couple months, I've been working out more and doing mat exercises so the back of my head has kind of been on the ground and sometimes the cyst feels tender afterwards, but it doesn't really bother me otherwise. I just have insurance now and I want to get it removed so I can do my hair and lay on the back of my head with no worries. She felt the cyst and said that it does feel a little inflamed, so she prescribed 3 weeks worth of doxycycline antibiotics for me to take. Is this really necessary? Is it typical for antibiotics to be taken for so long before an operation like this?
