Name error

My TSP has an extra middle name letter but I don’t have a middle name.

For example, my name is Michael Smith, but they added an extra letter “F” so now it’s showing Michael F Smith. I don’t have a middle name or initial whatsoever.

I checked my eOPF and my SF 50 shows the correct name without a middle name or initial. Infact it shows “NMN”
under my middle name

Has anyone encountered this issue and would calling the thrift line resolve it?

Thank you

LAX Economy parking shuttle is a joke

Been waiting here for 30 minutes. Prob saw 20+ employee shuttles, 10 lax-it and 2 budget and 0 economy.

Do not recommend this service at all.

Edit: does anyone know good parking areas near LAX? Don’t think I will ever book this again

Edit2: thanks guy. Economy parking was great before but shockingly bad this time. I will be booking terminal parking now

Applying for Medicare and SS asked for forms within 15 days but appointments are a month out

I got a letter in the mail today requesting me to bring me more documents within 15 days but it’s requesting for me to make an appointment. The soonest appointment is a month out.

Should I do a walk in?

Park Aviara in Carlsbad datapoint

I just finished a stay here at Park Hyatt Aviara and I can safely say it’s horrible. Stay far away from here. Don’t waste your money or your points.

We came to stay here for my birthday celebration on points with a gifted Guest of Honor, but had to check out a day early because of how inhabitable this place was.

The property was very dirty. There was trash around the resort, and broken glass on the walkway between the courtyard and pool area remained there for two days. Our room was also not cleaned very well.

What bothered me most was the confusion over valet parking. We were staying on a Guest of Honor award/points stay, and the manager told us that valet parking was not complimentary for this type of stay and only cash stays. This directly contradict Hyatt’s published policy regarding complimentary parking on eligible award stays for globalist or guest of honor. When I showed the manager the exact policy on the Hyatt website, he told me that their Hyatt doesn’t follow that because it’s a “resort” and not those “city hotels”, but he will take it off as a one time favor but don’t expect it in the future. Like wtf? lol.

There was also an issue with the Guest of Honor breakfast benefit. The benefit supposedly provides $120 for two people toward à la carte breakfast, including tax and gratuity. Our breakfast order was less than $80 and we did takeout, yet there were still small additional charges placed on our room daily. Normally, I probably wouldn’t think much about a small charge and would have just paid it. But because of how rude the manager was about the valet parking, I asked about what those charges were. I was told they were for additional gratuity. I was never presented with a bill where I signed gratuities and was always told “I am good”. I can’t help but wonder how much tips are they adding on there if $120 can’t cover a bill less than $80? Especially on a take-out order.

After coming home, I saw that their restaurants at had to close due to MAJOR vermin issues and cleaning issues in July. Ew.

For your mental health and medical healths sake, I would advise you guys to stay away.

RX 350 price datapoint

Late post here but wanted to share my recent purchase experience. I bought at the end of May and did it on a week night after work.

Vehicle:
White RX 350 gas premium (ultimately decided on gas due to not driving much and scared of the 12v battery issue with hybrids)

Features: 19in wheels, convenience package, digital key, 14in screen, power rear with kick sensor, illuminated door sills and the cargo mat/net/etc

Location: Southern California

MSRP + delivery fee = 59k

Discount: 6k

OTD: 58k

I got Costco quote first, then negotiated down from there. Please free to ask anything else

Edit:

Wanted to add we paid in cash but did not talk about how we were going to pay until after OTD price.

Some dealerships in SoCal is currently offering around 3% financing for the gas rx350

Disembarking time

How strict is princess with the disembarking time? I am arriving at Whittier soon and my time is listed for 630am but my ACT bus is not arriving until 745.

I did tag my luggage and it will be waiting for me at the cruise terminal.

I was wondering if I can disembark at a later time than listed so I am not waiting in the freezing cold outside. Thanks!
