S/P shaker tassels diy

I kept seeing these tassels online made out of salt & pepper shakers, so I picked some Johanna Parker ones ($10). Found a bundle of ribbon ($5) from Michaels and made my own. I used floral wire thru the holes, because the wire will be hidden by some bows I'm making. I'm going to hang them as a garland over my tv with one bow and tassel on each side and the garland between them. If the wire wasn't going to be hidden by the bows, I would have taken more time and used pretty ribbon as the hanger instead. But this was literally a 15 min craft (4 songs on my music streaming service lol). I had to sort the ribbon because the bundle was pretty big so I took a few of the messy ribbons out. They were the kind that kept getting wound around the other ones and knotted up. Then I just tied the tail of the wire around the ribbons and pulled them up thru the plug hole.

Easily influenced lol

These $10 throws from Walgreens! So cute and much better quality than I thought they'd be. (I'd given up on stores like homegoods & tjmaxx-- blanket prices got up to 30 bucks and well, no thx.) So then immediately after buying these 4 I did go to HG and found alllllll the $16.99 Peanuts and everybody else throw blankets 😂😭 So I got a couple of those too, but these are just as good. 50x60

Chicken at Chikfila

Someone's chicken is wandering the parking lot at Chikfila. A pretty bird, following people walking :(

Yes and no

$5 Rouge Royal eau de parfum. The ** tester in the store smells almost exactly like Bath n Bodyworks' version of Baccarat Rouge. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I love it and I'm almost out of my B&BW version. There were other boxed perfumes and they smelled really nice and pleasant, light and airy. The sea salt one smells like B&BW, too. ** Note: now that I've got it home, this bottle doesn't smell as great as the store tester bottle. Either I have to let it sit awhile ("marinate" as they say ???), or the testers are more delicious than the customer product??? Or I'm just being weird. It's not the first time.

Immediate NO 🙅🛑 is this crap Cashmere warm caramel body butter. Omg, it's the awfulest. 😭😭 It smells exactly like an open can of corn. 🌽

Still on the hunt for a beautiful caramel scent with no added screechy notes. And no corn 😭😭😭

Repaint those fairy garden pieces

I bought a few of the Halloween fairy garden sets. I feel like they're painted so badly, but I wanted to make a craft with them. Got them home and realized this dark blob was actually a frog. I was complaining about how you couldn't even tell what it was, and my son who paints game miniatures volunteered to repaint it for me. This is the before and after. I'm thrilled with it and now I want to buy another set so I can keep the frog just for me. 🥰🐸

My lil 🍂 haul today

2 white pumpkin hand soaps (one for a housewarming gift). The cinnamon pinecone single wick I got with my reward. I loooove the little pocketbac holder, it plays a little jazzy tune. And the cauldron pocketbac holder is so cute, lights up purple. I put Into the Night pocketbac in it. The first time I smelled the new Fall/Halloween scents the other week, I did not like them. Any of them. Went to a different store today and gave them another try. I loved them all. The previous store I'd been in seemed like the air was heavy with all the stuff customers were spraying all day. This store today, tho, had no noticeable scents in the air, I thought that was very noteworthy. Do some stores have air purifiers or something? Or the non noticeable/non-existent scent in the air made the true product scents come through? I love Football Season, and all the other fall scents. They're all really good.

Fun $2 thrift haul

Local thrift had two bags of these marked a couple bucks each. I bought one bag. I haven't been collecting as much these days (it's the time-space conundrum) but it's still fun to look.

Well she's made it over the slide

This yucca is crazy. The area behind her with all the rocks and pavers, that's where the pool pump drains. The hostas and ferns love it but it was so weed infested, I pulled this yucca out of there and torched the weeds. I transplanted her far down the fence, the opposite direction, two years ago. She never came up. I thought well heck, she's done for, she gave up, she didn't want to be moved. The funny thing is, this headstrong gal has a mind of her own. This year she came up in the middle of the yard, by her best friend, the pool slide. Not quite back amongst her old friends the hostas, but happy and loftily thriving where she prefers.

Jeff Goldblum, pencil enthusiast

A tiktok clip from the Claudia Winkelman show on BBC. It kind of surprised me that he appreciates pencils, but somehow it didn't surprise me he used to steal them as a kid 😂😂 And I was gratified that he hates mechanicals 😉 Anybody ever been to the pencil museum?

Pretty Woman "Glaze Violet"

I love the bottle, I love the brush, I love the color. I don't love that it doesn't self level and that it's inconsistent in dry time. I had it dry as I was painting the first coat, then the 2nd coat wouldn't dry as fast, and I sat still as possible for the 3rd coat. The 2nd wasn't great coverage but bc it's so pretty I was willing to baby it along. Pix are 3 coats with no topcoat. I'm in the middle of finishing the rest and doing topcoat. My cuticles are an absolute mess, have not been taking care of them at all.

My G-free friend came over the other night so we made snacks. Extremely pleasantly surprised by these brownies! I'm going to be keeping them on hand for when she visits. They are so good esp if you neeeeed a chocolate fix. We baked them for the time stated and they were a lil gooey in the middle, perfect for the way we like brownies. Super rich, soft, super fudgey, very good without being just all sweet with no choco flavor. 10/10

I love LOVE the Candy Moyo colors. They have an inky navy blue (not pictured) and this delicious deep green that are both so nice with winter palette skintones. I did this mani yesterday and as much as I love the colors, I don't love the formula. It's so delicate and chips almost immediately on me. To be fair, all polish chips on me, I get a miraculous 3 day wear on some, but mostly 2 is my norm. Candy Moyo chipped the same day, and worse the second. I even used my tried and true battle axe top coat (Essie Gel couture) and that couldn't save it. But I most ardently recommend the colors. Kokie's polish seems to wear better and I loooooove the color. The last pic shows 2 coats on fingers, my thumb with only one coat, and all my dry cuticles sorry.
