Vendor question for employees.

I've been delivering to Walmart for about five years now. I use the L carts that are in the stores. I have always pushed it. Never once has anyone else told me me to pull. Today I got stopped by the store manager who told me to pull the cart. I stopped and looked at them confused because I wasn't sure whether or not they were talking to me. I was about to ask are you talking to me but they reiterated. Then said I could hit products on the shelf if I push. I looked at the cart and then back at them. Then the person next to them felt the need to back up the claim with a please and thank you. I said nothing up to this point and still said nothing when I left the back but complied but it felt really weird to pull the cart. It means I have to walk backwards into traffic of customers while making sure that I'm angling the cart correctly. Or walk forwards with my arms extended behind me while looking backwards to make sure its not hitting anything while watching out for customers. It feels worse.

Is that normal across all Walmart or something being pushed now?

JU from Atheists.

I stopped looking into the sub a year or two ago because well, all they do is post questions or statements that make the religious look stupid or insane. The posts are almost always full of trivial questions that are not constructive to the community with an echo chamber in down below in the comments. I feel it gives atheists a bad rep. Today was the final straw. Some post about why did a fruit make people evil. I responded with something like, 'why even question it. It serves no purpose. It seems that every post on this sub is to demean those that believe in something.' I got a few comments and one in particular being a mod. (I guess you can hide that you're a mod in subs now because he didn't have the title.) They asked why was it reasonable to post my comment. I responded with, 'it's an atheist sub not anti religion sub.' I suppose I could given more information but I felt like that summed it up. They then asked why didn't I just respond to the op. I told them that the op's question was trivial and the answer to the question meaningless to us atheists. He didn't like that and went back to his original question then hurled an insult at me. To which I replied, 'I did, are you slow or just a little touched.' He didn't like that so he temporarily banned me. So I played coy with the mods, knowing full well that what I said was probably gonna get me banned. I told them that I didn't see a rule I broke. I insinuated that the person might been below average intelligence but no direct name calling. After a few minutes I said what whatever, I don't want to be apart of a sub that just spreads hate against others. Perma ban me please, idc. Then immediately unsubbed. Later, I got my wish granted from the very same thin skinned mod that was questioning me without accepting my answer. Too funny to me that the very guy that was not accepting my answer while hurling an insult couldn't take an insinuation from was the one that banned me.

Edit: It was Atheism. Not atheist.

New to the game and enjoying it. *Some spoilers ahead.*

Got a bit lost at first but it's coming along nicely. I thought the bosses were going to be easy. As soon as I created the world then spawned in King slime was very close by. I didn't realize I built my base so close to him. His jumping was annoying me because I didn't know what was going on. I thought I was being attacked or taking dot from something but couldn't figure it out. Noticed that it only happened when I was close to my base, so upon investigation I found that the boss was probably no further than fifty tiles away having a good time jumping up and down. Gave it a whack and I died. Said okay, I'll just mine some more and deal with it later. Through my mining I came upon Ghorm the devourer and died. Dang, there's another boss to deal with later. Got some leveled gear defeated the King Slime boss with ease. Then decided to give the devourer a try after getting a bow. An easier boss than King Slime it felt. Got my tracks and mining up and going, Ghorm kept destroying the ones I had... I didn't realize he could do that. Explored more. Then came across the scrapzooka. Love this weapon. I'm not sure how I obtained it, it was just in my inventory when I got back to my base. Stopped using my pickaxe except for precise usage. I started blasting my way everywhere. Made it to a hive. Blasted my way to the center and found the mother. I didn't know what it was, looked like a weird structure so I blasted. Minimal thought there... Big mistake. I soon realized I was in a boss fight. Lasted for a fair bit of time before perishing. I figured I could win but I needed a strategy. My strategy turned out to be blasting things. So I blasted the room bigger so I could dodge the spawns easier. Found out the hoe removes the poison slime from the ground. Ate food, drank potions, and got to work. Was a lot harder boss than the previous two but blew her up eventually. Needless to say, I'm enjoying the game and having a BLAST of a time.

The twenty year plan.

Right now, the road is something I just can't do. I'm a single father raising a 3-and-a-half-year-old son, and his stability comes first.

Before I had him, and before I met my ex, I often fantasized about living in a van, traveling the country, and working off a laptop to make ends meet with some side hustles along the way. Another fantasy was to take off to Alaska, build a cabin, and live out my days alone. But that cabin idea isn't really doable for me because, even as an introvert, I still enjoy meeting people and talking to them, hearing their stories, and helping if I can. Traveling is just way more up my alley.

All that said, even now as I raise my son, I yearn to do something different with my life. I'll be in my early fifties in twenty years when he's grown, but I understand that might actually be the best time to start this chapter of my life. I'll have the knowledge, the professional experience, and the wisdom that comes along with age.

So, I have a twenty-year plan in the making.

First, I'm continuing my grind working in a warehouse, living a minimalist lifestyle while providing the bestbenvironment my son can possibly have. I'm going to get him what he needs and wants to have a great future, and I'll make sure his college is taken care of, if he wants that, while I save and put money back.

To condition myself, I'm starting a mostly vegetarian diet now (though I plan on using or making my own jerked meat for protein when I eventually travel). I'm also starting to learn new survival skills along the way, picking up things I don't know while maintaining the outdoor skills I already have. And eventually put away with most technology. I'll have a flip phone, if they still make then, for back up for it or when I'll need it.

Honestly, I think I should count myself lucky. I get to bring up a wonderful kid into this world, and I have the unique opportunity to save and plan two decades in advance to guarantee he has a good future ahead of him. Whether he chooses to live the conventional way or wants to do something else entirely, he’s going to have the options.

Unless technology drastically changes by then, my goal is to get a reliable dual-sport motorcycle with a camping setup. It's still in the early planning phases. I thought about hopping freights, using passenger trains, buses, hitchhiking, walking the whole thing (though I think I might be too old for hiking by then), or doing the van-life thing. But out of all of them, the bike is the most appealing to me. It keeps me exposed to the world.

Just wanted to share this with some like-minded people. Any older riders or long-term planners out there who transitioned later in life?

Gilbraltor problems as my main selection of tanks.

It's particularly on the defense that is the problem. My main tanks are Sigma, Domina, and Junker Queen. My off tank is Mauga but that's a problem as being that most enemy tanks choose to go dive for the map. Dva or Winston are usually the enemy tank. The event tank isn't usually the problem. The problem is the high ground is so far away from cart that I barely do damage at the start of the round. Dropping down and getting a little closer usually leads me to being a good distance away from my team supports need to get to the edge to heal me if I get in trouble. Enemy dive tanks jump in the ledge which should be fine because it's a 4v1 up there but it's also a 1v4 where I'm at. I can stay alive for a good bit on my own if I go down there but in practice my teams usually aren't fine up there dealing with a dive tank. If I stay up there I can shoo the tanks away but I also have my back turned away from cart that's consistently moving forward uncontested. I guess, really, I don't what I need to do on the map. It's certainly not an enjoyable map for me.
