Built a completely free, open-source App Locker with zero ads. Just looking for feedback!

Hey Reddit,

Message to Moderators: This is strictly a non-commercial, 100% open-source passion project. There are absolutely no ads, no premium paywalls, and no data tracking. I gain zero financial benefit from this app.

I built a lightweight security tool called Applocker designed for Samsung devices because I wanted something fast, clean, and private.

Why try it?

💎 100% Free & Open-Source: No ads, no background data collection, fully transparent.

⚡ Zero Scrolling Lag: Highly optimized loading, super smooth even with hundreds of apps.

🔒 Smart Biometrics: Full support for both under-display and side fingerprint scanners without system crashes.

📊 Private Analytics: Includes an offline dashboard with local charts to track locked app usage.

You can download the APK directly from the GitHub : https://github.com/happymanv-1/Applockoneuiv1.0

Let me know what you think or if you spot any bugs!

Liquid Glass one ui 8.5

How to create a Liquid Glass Quick Panel on Samsung:

Step 1: Prepare and take a screenshot

First, take a screenshot of your Quick Panel. Make sure all the buttons/toggles are turned off. The only exception is the volume slider—set it to the lowest possible level so it doesn't show up as a "mute" icon in the screenshot.

Step 2: Generate the Liquid Glass effect

Once you have your screenshot, go to ChatGPT or Gemini, upload the screenshot, and type in this exact prompt:

Use the uploaded screenshot as the foundation.

IMPORTANT:

Do not recreate, redraw, redesign, or replace any part of the image.

Preserve the original screenshot pixel-for-pixel.

Keep the exact:

• Layout

• Tile positions

• Icons

• Text

• Sliders

• Widget placement

• Colors

• Spacing

• Wallpaper

BACKGROUND PRESERVATION (CRITICAL)

The original wallpaper/background must remain exactly the same.

Do NOT:

• Generate a new background

• Replace the wallpaper

• Change the colors

• Add a different gradient

• Create a concept-art backdrop

• Add artificial lighting to the background

Only transform the Quick Panel materials.

LIQUID GLASS STYLE

Create an ultra-premium Samsung Liquid Glass Quick Panel.

The interface should feel like a real Samsung One UI feature from the future.

Glass should feel like a thin transparent layer floating above the wallpaper.

NOT:

• Thick glass sheets

• Acrylic blocks

• Heavy frosted glass

• Large beveled edges

• Overly glossy plastic

• Concept-art redesigns

Use:

• Ultra-thin crystal glass

• 85–90% transparency

• Soft internal diffusion

• Minimal blur

• Delicate edge refraction

• Subtle white rim highlights

• Floating layered depth

• Optical transparency

• Soft reflections

• Micro specular highlights

• Premium luxury materials

• Realistic glass physics

• Clean Samsung aesthetic

Glass visibility should come primarily from edge highlights and subtle reflections, not from blur or glass thickness.

Every tile should remain lightweight and elegant.

The wallpaper must remain clearly visible through every component.

SLIDERS

Brightness and volume sliders should be:

• Crystal clear

• Thin transparent glass

• Soft edge highlights

• Floating appearance

• Subtle depth

• Minimalistic premium design

BUTTONS & TILES

Buttons should have:

• Soft translucent glass

• Very thin borders

• Tiny internal reflections

• Gentle optical depth

• Premium minimal appearance

STYLE REFERENCE

Samsung One UI Liquid Glass

Apple Liquid Glass

VisionOS materials

Luxury smartphone UI

Future Samsung flagship software

OUTPUT

Ultra realistic.

4K quality.

Photorealistic materials.

Real smartphone screenshot.

No redesign.

No new wallpaper.

No thick glass.

No excessive blur.

The result should look like Samsung officially released a Liquid Glass version of One UI.

(Note: You can ask the AI tool to tweak or change specific details if you aren't completely satisfied with the first result).

Step 3: Crop the icons

Next, you need to cut out each part of the image generated by the AI. Open the image in your Samsung Gallery editor, use the Lasso tool, and crop each tile individually (for example, cut out the Wi-Fi icon separately, then the Bluetooth icon separately). Save a new, separate copy for each cropped element.

Step 4: Apply using Good Lock

Finally, open the Good Lock app and go to the QuickStar module. Navigate to the Advanced settings and assign each cropped image you saved to its corresponding button on the Quick Panel.

[One UI 8.5] DND exceptions work manually but get ignored when activated automatically via Sleep Mode

I'm facing a frustrating issue with "Do Not Disturb" (DND) on One UI 8.5, and I'm trying to figure out if it's a bug or intended behavior.

When I enable DND manually: Everything works perfectly. My allowed contact exceptions can still call and message me without any issues.

When DND turns on automatically: (Specifically via a schedule routine or through Sleep Mode), the system completely ignores my contact exceptions. All calls and notifications from my whitelisted contacts get blocked.

Has anyone else experienced this on One UI 8.5? Is there a hidden setting within Modes and Routines that overrides global DND exceptions, or is this a known glitch in the latest update?

Any help or confirmation would be highly appreciated!
