I’m travelling with my parents, and the regular quota for our train is currently full.

I was thinking of booking tickets under the Senior Citizen quota because seats are available there. My plan was that when the TTE checks the ticket, I would tell them that I’m not eligible for the senior citizen concession/quota and pay the fare difference/any applicable charges.

Would this actually work, or could the TTE treat the ticket as invalid and impose a penalty or some other issue?

Has anyone actually experienced this situation with Indian Railways?

Not trying to scam the system it's just important for me to do physical reporting at my college..

In order to explain my situation... i have got a state gfti in uptac counselling (not so good) ece branch..

Placement aint my concern when i am looking for better options.. in short i am not looking for placement after 4 yr i will look for m tech or ms. (this can be changed after 4 yr)

Government Reputed college (if it can be).. like gftis..

I have no exceptional branch preference not like dumb 'herd mentality' ki cs bhai cs 🗣🔥

My original branch preference was Aerospace Engineering.. but lowkey rank kam h 🥀 (dont ask me why and how) i was a dropper on top of all of this.(so people who r out here saying 'drop lelo') Thank you aap sbko but please keep scrolling..

So i decided to settle for ECE right now..(kinda found it intresting as well) and there was a merging path in future that.. thru ece b tech and aerospace m tech or ms i can go into avionics branch..

but keeping it short.. as per my rank i m not getting much chances even in gftis..

but still i am getting colleges like RGNAU and DHSGU which are offering me branches like aersoapce eng.. or aeronautical eng. but now i am very unsure..

should i go for my branch preference or go for a reputed governement colleges..

and no i won't go to private.. (i cant explain why) don't even ask me.. idk why but after 3 year of prep i just can't... and i won't even tho my family is kinda forcing me..

TL;DR - should i go for desired branch or a good college ? and Will csab give me good enough chances.. are gfti's mentioned any good ?

i was supposed to be up domicile but those aktu mfers. the site glitched or idk what they did but yeah now i am a candidate with domicile other than up.. WHEN HBTU kanpur accepted me as a up domicile valid student.. it's just all the bullshit is in aktu..

okay so it can be a junior or senior, i need uh to comment on this post or dm me.. if the reader of this post lives in lucknow i need uh to visit uptac office to help me as i can't reach their office on time.. any help wil be apreciated and i will pay the required amount which will be used up in all the procedure.
