Anybody know what these structures are at Godley Head?

I'm working on mapping out all of the ww1 and ww2 remnants still around in NZ, and I came across these two buildings along the Godley Head cliffs and couldn't find any information on them? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Talking about the building midway down the cliff in the first image

$821m investment in Lyttelton Port

$821m investment in Lyttelton Port

Bit of positive news for Christchurch!

Lyttelton Port has announced an $821 million expansion of the container terminal and new wharf at Te Awaparahi Bay.

Pretty massive investment in infrastructure for the region, and presumably a fair bit of work and economic activity attached to it over the next few years.

Good to see some serious money being invested down here.

Woke up to this 5:45am in Glen Eden (next door)

Wed 12 Aug

About 8 commando looking dudes all around the property, guy on a megaphone. 2 guys with massive guns outside our 6mo baby's room. They had a drone, helicopter and dogs too.

Was scary, not sure what they were looking for or the outcome.

Jepus the debate about apartments..

Heating up much? Every second person is talking about the oversupply of apartments with no parking, and airbnb etc. Didn't think it was quite that bad?

F*CK "QV" Valuations

Has anyone else noticed how wildly inconsistent QV's f*cking Rating Valuations are?

Councils have paid QV millions of ratepayer dollars over the years to produce these valuations, yet you'll regularly find virtually identical homes or flats, side by side (or only metres apart), with RVs that differ by $80,000+.

Same size. Similar condition. Same land. Same street. Massive difference.

How is this acceptable when these valuations influence rates and are relied on by so many people? Its either

Typical Christchurch corruption, or employing imbeciles.

I'd love to see examples from around New Zealand because the inconsistencies are becoming impossible to ignore. Is anyone actually holding QV accountable for the quality and consistency of these valuations? Why do we put up with this shit.

Another Stadium Cars Scam

"BUYER SCORE" Is a scam review system, where the dealership can quite literally choose not to publish a negative review. They pay a subscription to management software, and part of that fee enables them to do this. Thats why dealerships miraculously have hundreds of 4.5-5 +++ stars" and Stadium Cars, just won 2026 Buyerscore bullshitters of the year award. Congrats.
