English isn't my native language, so I might have missed some context. During Shin and Lena's first encounter, was Frederica in the cockpit with Shin the whole time, sitting on his lap?

It's a rather strange fact, considering that the author didn't describe her actions during this reunion, so I can only guess what she was doing.

Overall, I think the details in light novels falls short compared to the anime. For example - in the anime, Kiriya reached for Frederica with his artificial hands and saved her, whereas in the light novel it was Fido who executed the stunt. At the same time, light novels provide more depth in characters' feelings and emotions.

Will things improve in the next chapters?

This is my last save from roughly 5 years ago, but I guess I will start a new city.

Even though it’s missing the tip of one leg and is extremely heavy, it can still stand and move around slowly (though its movements are very erratic compared to the simulation). This is my first project involving a robot (drone) like this. The cannon is manually operated and based on calcium carbide, although I haven't tested it directly on the hexadrone yet
