Reverse osmosis air gap leaking
My lady had a reverse osmosis unit installed and the faucet has an air gap. It appears that when the storage tank refills that she has a stream of water coming out of the air gap. I twisted faucet around for a good image. I checked the drain line and they ran it to the other side of the trap. It doesn’t appear as if the installer had enough room on the pipe to install the drain on the correct side of the trap. I’m considering plugging the air gap but I have no idea what the consequences would be. I would also suspect the apartment may have insufficient venting on her septic system. Would it leak internally in the faucet? Would the storage tank not refill efficiently? Thanks in advance.
