Thoughts on lower ranked TE’s this year?

Feel like this year is interesting for TEs this year. There are quite a few options getting slotted as TE1 on their team and I can see a path forward for them. I’m really liking Chig, Gunnar Helm and Terrance Ferguson this year. Feel like they could end up as low end TE1 on the season, maybe even mid tier. Guys like Dalton Kincaid, Jake Ferguson and Brenton Strange I’m just not as high on.

What do you all think on the TE position this year outside of McBride, Bowers, Loveland, Warren, Fannin, Kraft, Pitts and Kittle?

Finally opened up to my wife

I know i've had a sports betting problem ever since i got introduced to the apps. I immediately was hooked and started putting alot of money in and losing. I started chasing like others do and lost even more. I got to a point where i went down $10,000. That's when i realized i needed to stop. I terminated all my accounts on every site i could think of. I was good for about 10 months, didn't place a single bet and didn't think about it. Then, i saw that Robinhood had prediction markets. So then it started again because i used Robinhood to do some fun personal investing with money i've made on one off jobs outside of my day job.. I lost another $8,000 over the course of 5 months. I knew it was time to talk about it. So 4 nights ago, i told my wife and i showed her everything. Thankfully, i do have some self control and have only spent money that i had made from one off odd jobs. This is not money we agreed would be in our joint account and knew it was for me to do whatever i want with. So i didn't touch anything we share together, but knew she wouldn't be happy...

My wife was understanding. She wasn't happy of course, but she understood. We went through all my accounts and worked through transferring everything out of robinhood and deactivated the account. I've also chosen to give her access to my personal checking account and she has alerts on for transactions that automatically get classified into gambling.

I'm thankful that she was understanding and so glad i told her. I felt like i lifted a weight off my chest after 3 years.

They just make it so easy to get caught back in, i'm seeing ads everywhere for it now. I love sports, just sad it got to this. I'm glad it was only this $18,000 amount over 3 years. I know it could have got a lot worse.

Facebook Marketplace Homemade Food

Anybody have any recommended individuals who cook homemade and sell off Facebook marketplace? I've been wanting to try it out for awhile but there are so many options on Facebook i'm not sure who to go with.

If you've ordered through someone below, drop the link! Would much rather support individuals and pay their price vs going to restaurants and paying for overpriced Sysco food.

I'm in Olathe but willing to drive for a good meal around KC.

Escrow Analysis

Have you ever experienced your escrow analysis going down?

We just got our update and it went up $300/month. Seems like there was a shortage which is causing it, but just curious if it’s common to ever see it go down eventually?

Is it okay to slow down on investments to maintain a cushion during high expense periods?

My wife (31F)and I (31M) have a child who is in daycare. We pay $2,000/month and we still contribute 15% to our 401ks, have good savings, working to pay off our mortgage. My main question is, when we have a second child and they start daycare, we’ll be paying around $3,800/month. Is it okay to slow down on our 401k and investment contributions until the kids are out of daycare? Our plan would be to reduce 401k contributions from 15% to just enough to get the employer match, which is 6% each. Would expect this to be in about 1.5 years (or whenever we get pregnant again) and until the kids are 5 years old.

My yearly income: $175,000
Wife yearly income: $170,000

Here is a summary of our situation (combined accounts for simplicity sake)

All retirement accounts (401k + IRAs): $475,000
Investment accounts: $120,000
Home equity: $280,000
Cash on hand: $100,000

Net income: $12,000 (bonuses not included)

Total monthly expenses: $9,000

529 vs Brokerage Account for Kids. Thoughts?

With the reality that things are evolving more and more every year, I don’t know if the value of a college education will be the same by the time my little guy turns 18 (he’s 12 weeks old btw).

We were planning on opening a 529 for him, but I’m hesitant. At least if we saving his college fund in a Brokerage Account, he can use it for a home, car, wedding, plus school if he chooses too.

Understandable on the tax advantages a 529 provides vs a brokerage, but the flexibility on spending it is what worries me. If he chooses not to go to college and the account grows to let’s say $100,000, we’d be losing $65,000 basically when we decide to convert to his Roth IRA. I know that it can be moved to another child but just use this example as an only child.

Did anyone choose to avoid the 529 account and just use a brokerage?

——————————-——————————-

UPDATE - since so many of you commented and messaged directly, thought I’d let you know what we decided.

We opened up a 529 with the state sponsored plan and plan to contribute to that plan plus any birthday/holiday presents he receives. We are also going to be opening a brokerage account for him once he gets a little older and that 529 is seeing steady growth.

Thanks everyone! At

Devon Achane for the 2026 1.02

I just traded the 1.02 this year for Devon Achane.

I was skeptical on pretty much everyone in this class with Tate, Tyson, Lemon and Mendoza. I really wanted to get another RB to put together a solid team.

It’s a 12 team superflex league

Here is the new squad and I feel can be competitive with strong WRs and 2 top 10 RBs

Major development for our 10 week old

He slept through the night last night for the first time. I know I shouldn’t bank on this every night, especially when he is not swaddled anymore. But just makes me feel good!

Below Average Team looking for guidance at 1.02 and 1.09

I have the 1.02 and the 1.09 this year. Really conflicted on who to go take at 1.02. My heart is telling me Carnell Tate but wondering if I should target a Jordan Tyson or even JaDarian Price.

Could I get some suggestions?
