The Debutantes: Sirius Blue, Chem 'n' Kush and Strawberry Popesicle 5.5weeks.

Crinkled Cookies is still plowing forward. Mulberry F3 doing her best at the back. Sirius has lots of extra sprouting vigour with stems splitting off etc, Popesicle is tall thin leaved and open, Chem 'n' Kush has that typical Kush look, there's more going on underneath the canopy. All three looking tip top.

We're less 2 years away from the total solar eclipse in Australia. When are we going to start getting excited.

22nd July '28

Been counting this one down for the past 10 years and it feels like it's just around the metaphorical corner. The centre of Sydney is in the centre of the path of the eclipse.

Crinkled Cookies by Night Owl™ 13 weeks 1 gal potless pot.

Wider than she is tall, self terraced, pungent berries and chemicals, springy sticky buds.

Crinkled Cookies 13w

This one was exceedingly tricky, massive branching impenetrable canopy with yellowing leaves early on with not many trichomes, however with patience and judicious leaf removal she has turned out to be rather spectacular, with a lovely terraced appearance. Very strong berry and chemical terps, extreme frosting with small springy buds very similar to a particular pheno of cookies n creamix. I'll keep going a bit longer because it's hard to tell what's happening with the buds.

A word that adequately describes a brief moment of confusion.

I'm talking about particular benign feeling where for example you have made a cup of coffee and you are eating a pastry but you have forgotten you made a coffee because it would normally be a cup of tea, which feels more like what I want in the afternoon.

So without realising it, the brain is automatically expecting the taste of tea, and for a brief second upon the first sip, there is a visceral sense of confusion, not 'what's going on' but a confusion in the expectation of flavour.

Is there a word for this type of momentary dissonance.

Owl family photo op

I run three beans every eight weeks and in between I run a single re-used plug also every 8 weeks. This week I have tried putting two beans directly into the used plug and I left the old stem in place.

It's rare that I get to see four generations all 4 weeks apart beginning with the new ones which are coming up to one week. The one on the far left is a mulberry f3 that I was going to put in the garden because it just stopped growing but she perked up and while small looks to have a killer kola. Crinkled Cookies, nearly done and very similar to my 2nd cookies and creamix.

Three different structure autos topped topped d20 12 day difference.

Sirius Blue is stocky, Strawberry Popesicle is open and Chem n Kush is in between and smaller. On 6th August I removed the main leaves off the top to get light all through the plant, and then you see the result on 9th August three days later.

As you see the canopy on all of them is what new growers who bend their plants over dream of, but instead of getting a good result because they have been convinced that topping an auto is "high stress", they pull the plant over damage the roots and end up with stunted plants and then they come here and ask 'why are my plants stunted'.

These are all hand watered in an eazyplug, nothing special.

Moody bud shots of instant classik

I just discovered that if I underexpose by 3 stops, it looks more like it was under flash, but this is just the same shots under lights, straight out of iPhone 12 mini, knocking all the brightness out reveals the true colours.

Non glandular trichomes can look like the start of bud rot.

When tearing part very sticky buds, these fine hairs are almost identical to the naked eye as the growing tentacles of a fungus.

Benignorant (adj.)

A benign ignorance. Opposed to a harmful or wilful ignorance.

Composed of two nouns: Benignity and Ignorance

benign ignorance tends to involve things you have no duty or need to know, where the knowledge would add nothing (or even diminish life). Willful ignorance, by contrast, is the avoidance of knowledge you ought to have — which is what makes it harmful.

It can be the type of ignorance that some refer to as 'bliss'.
it could be not knowing how a magic trick works, or maybe it's lack of knowledge of a surprise party. Maybe you know about the party but you feign benignorance, so as to preserve the occasion.

Instant Classik into uncharted territory at d86

While the heads are chunky, the stem is fairly thin and there are holes through the cola where air can flow and it's dry right now so I think there won't be any bud rot problem, it does continue to swell I did plan on taking her down on wk 12 but now maybe she'll go to 13.

Benignity. I never knew it existed

But now that I know it does, I can't really see myself using it. I have found myself wanting to use a noun form of benign at times but I couldn't think of one that made sense.

quite a bit of bulk since last week, will probably be coming down around d80. Not sure yet if this is a vanilla pheno or a greasy diesel.
