Taking a stab at a prediction for Doom's team. Likely to be revealed in 2 weeks at the state of play

State of Play is June 2nd, and EVO Vegas is at the end of the month. Unless they plan on making a reveal at Summer Game Fest, EVO Vegas is probably where we will see the final team, which I think will be Ghost Rider’s team.

I am going to go ahead and bet on Doom’s team consisting of Doom, Carnage, Magneto, and Scarlet Witch. That is based on the context clues from the last trailer, the retail leak, which honestly seems pretty plausible at this point, and the team theme that was revealed.

I honestly hate making guesses because almost everybody has been wrong so far, and they have been throwing a lot of stuff completely out of left field. But this one feels pretty spot on to me.

Another beta test is definitely coming. Will probably announce it at summer Games fest, potential state of play, or Evo Vegas in June

Another beta test is definitely coming, in my opinion. The developers have repeatedly said they want people to get their hands on the game after the recent changes, and it makes sense that they would want players to test those changes before launch.

People keep saying we are too close to release for another beta, but that does not really make sense. Plenty of fighting games have had final open betas a few weeks or about a month before release

There is no real indication that being a little under three months away from launch means another beta cannot happen. It is also not realistic to expect everyone to travel to events just to test new characters and gameplay changes lmao

I think we will probably get one more open beta announced at Summer Game Fest, a possible Sony event, or EVO Vegas. Just for fun, here are a few examples of recent fighting games that had betas close to release WITH training Mode Included

• Guilty Gear Strive

Open Beta 2: May 13, 2021 to May 16, 2021

Release Date: June 11, 2021

• Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

Open Beta 2: March 26, 2025 to March 31, 2025

Release Date: April 24, 2025

• Street Fighter 6

Open Beta: May 19, 2023 to May 22, 2023

Release Date: June 2, 2023

Street Fighter 6 literally had its final open beta less than two weeks before release, so I really do not buy the idea that we are automatically too close to launch for another beta lol More importantly I was suggesting that the next one would have a training mode which people have disagreed with. All three games I have listed had one final beta which included their FULL training mode.

Next beta needs training mode available. A robust training mode is my BIGGEST concern right now tbh

The main thing I keep wondering about is how good the training mode is going to be when Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls comes out. I really hope they take some notes from Guilty Gear Strive, because Strive’s training mode is pretty good overall. It gives you enough tools to test situations, practice defense, record dummy actions, and actually figure things out without feeling too limited. The only thing it is really missing is a hitbox viewer, but honestly, I feel like somebody in the community would probably mod that in eventually. Right now, that is probably the only thing I am really worried about, because a good training mode is going to matter a lot if people want to seriously learn the game.

I also hope that if we get another beta, they actually include training mode this time so we can see what the game is going to give us at launch. Most fighting games now have really solid training modes with frame data, input history, recording options, reversal settings, combo tools, and sometimes even hitbox viewers. Having that available before release would make it way easier for people to start figuring the game out instead of going in completely blind. I want to be able to test offense, defense, assists, movement, team routes, and all the little weird character interactions that make games like this fun. I just really hope they give us a strong training mode, because that could make a huge difference in how good the game feels long term.

Transitioning From Service Desk Technician to Machinist, Looking for Advice From Experienced People in the Trade

I currently work as a service desk technician, and honestly, I feel like I have hit a wall in my career. Moving forward would probably require another degree, and I do not really have any interest in continuing down this path. I am burnt out and ready to move into something more hands on, technical, and connected to manufacturing.

Over the past five years, I have become more interested in manufacturing, machining, metalworking, mechanical engineering, and aerospace engineering. My long term goal is to eventually go back to school for mechanical engineering with a focus on aerospace, but before that, I am planning to attend trade school for machining once I move and become a resident so the cost will be cheaper.

Since I have never worked in a machine shop or manufacturing environment before, I wanted to ask for advice from people who have actually been in the trade. For anyone who went through trade school and was able to get hired in a shop afterward, what should I focus on the most while I am in school?

Are there any skills, habits, or concepts that beginners usually overlook but actually matter a lot once you get into a real shop? Should I be spending extra time on blueprint reading, measuring tools, shop math, manual machining, CNC basics, G code, CAD/CAM, feeds and speeds, tooling, metallurgy, or something else?

I am also curious about what the first year in a shop is actually like. I know I would probably be starting from the bottom, learning slowly, making mistakes, and doing basic work before being trusted with more responsibility. What should I expect as an entry level machinist, and what separates someone who improves quickly from someone who struggles?

I would also appreciate any advice on shop etiquette. What should a beginner do, avoid, ask, or pay close attention to when working around experienced machinists? I want to come in humble, willing to learn, and respectful of the people who have been doing this for years.

Long term, I am not sure if I want to become a CNC programmer, stay more focused on machining, or eventually connect this experience with mechanical engineering and aerospace work. For now, I am keeping my options open and trying to build a strong foundation. For anyone experienced in machining, what advice would you give to someone trying to transition from a service desk or office background into machining and manufacturing?

Estimated Health Values Based on Recent Peni Parker Gameplay Footage

I’ve been putting together some numbers for the health values based on the footage we have seen so far. In the most recent gameplay footage, which mostly shows Peni Parker, there is a round 4 start where Storm faces off against Magik. The good thing about this round start is that Magik lands two complete combos, and both show the total damage value at the end.

The first combo does 24,025 damage, and the second combo shortly after does 23,975 damage. Combined, both exchanges total roughly 48,000 damage. After both combos, Storm’s health appears to be a little below 50%, probably somewhere between 45% and 50%. This is while Storm has access to all three assist characters.

Naturally, the amount of health you lose during each exchange will vary depending on the character, the attack being used, and whether or not there is any damage scaling involved. I also did not factor in the amount of recoverable health during this estimate. This is strictly focused on trying to estimate the total health value based on the recent footage and the visible damage numbers.

While it has not been officially confirmed, some people have mentioned during testing that you appear to gain more health as you gain additional assist characters. Based on Storm’s remaining health after taking around 48,000 damage, I’m estimating that the total health value with all four characters is approximately 100,000 HP.

Some people have also speculated that you gain an additional 1% of health with each new character you collect. Since there are four total characters and you need to gain three additional assist characters, that would put the starting character at around 70,000 HP at the beginning of the match with no assists. Based on the footage and the damage values shown, it really looks like the total health value is around 100,000 HP once you have all four characters.

Black Panther will be playable at Combo Breaker, just like I guessed. The new builds will also be available at Combo Breaker and Hong Kong Comic Con 2026, giving players a chance to try the latest version of the game at both events.

"The build will include the newly announced Black Panther and the Wakanda stage, for a total of 13 playable characters and five stages. If you’re attending either event, be sure to stop by and try it for yourself!

Development is entering its final stages, and the entire team is working hard every day to deliver the best possible experience at launch."

They also confirmed that development is in its final stages, which makes it seem likely that we can expect updated builds at each event after every new reveal leading up to release. We may also end up getting a final beta after the rumored State of Play in June or around EVO Las Vegas: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/05/02/hulk-and-black-panther-join-the-fight-for-marvel-tokon-fighting-souls/

I’m doing some theory crafting while reviewing footage, and I’ve been trying to find out whether the total health value has been officially confirmed yet. I’ve looked around, but I haven’t seen anything that clearly states the exact amount.

I just wanted to ask here to make sure I didn’t miss an official confirmation somewhere or if I’m looking in the wrong place. Has anyone seen the confirmed health value, or is everyone still estimating it based on footage right now?

I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max, and I’m looking for a reliable wireless charger that does not cause my phone to overheat. I have already bought three different wireless chargers, and most of them have made my phone get extremely hot while charging. Some of them also charge very slowly, which makes it even more frustrating.

My charging port is currently having issues, and I believe there may be some damage inside the port. Wired chargers still work most of the time, but they are not always reliable. I plan on upgrading to a new phone in a few months, so I do not really want to spend money repairing the charging port right now.

I usually charge my phone at night on my nightstand, and I keep it in a well ventilated area while it is charging. Even with that, the wireless chargers I have tried still seem to make the phone hotter than I would like.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good wireless charger for the iPhone 12 Pro Max that does not overheat the phone? Fast charging would be preferred, but I would rather have something stable and safe than something that constantly makes the phone too hot.

The end of the trailer showed the same message asking which team will assemble next, and I noticed a few things. There were scribble marks everywhere, a hashtag next to Doom, Spider-Man’s face was scribbled out, and there were also scribbles in the bottom left corner. The green silhouette and flash looked like Doom’s powers to me, so I am assuming his team is probably the one that will assemble next. What is everybody betting on?
