Found this magnificent beauty yesterday and I cant help but share my new whale fins!

Bought her for $63 but I feel like I stole her! I bought the cutting/baby next to it first but I just had to go back for the big one and I couldn't be more happy right now

Just found this big mama under some rocks

I've never seen a wolf spider with so many babies it curves around the mama spider. I originally thought it was a caterpillar! I just put a rock back over her to keep her safe with plenty of room to escape. Sad to see she's missing a couple legs

The Silk Empress

First time submission! I wish I could take better pictures but I can't get my switch to connect so I do what I can. The name is inspired by Empress Wu Zetian

I caught a cute moment between these two stargazing together

I guess the Whale Whisperer and the Blushing Prospector aren't the only couple. Sorry for the bad quality photo

So happy to have finally take home my parents cockatoo! Meet Rudy Too

My mom got him when I was about 11 yo and he was 9 yo so we've known each other for so long. He bonded with me and have been his person ever since. He is like an angel, just the sweetest bird you could ask for. My mom got bored of him like so many people do but I never did. Somehow his yelling doesn't really bother me. I moved out and he became very neglected over time. I begged for YEARS for my mom to let me take him. It became a major issue between me and my parents.

My mom ended up passing a couple years ago and it was just my dad tending to him which only consisted of food and water changes. No outside time out of the cage. It seemed like the loneliness was getting to Rudy and his behavior was guarded. He was screaming all the time and my dad can't handle that.

Well my dad finally decided he can't tolerate it anymore and let me take him! Its been a week and he's like a totally different bird in the best way. In the mornings I open his cage, change his food and water and let him just chill on his cage as long as he likes (which is ALL day). He lets me know when he needs snuggles, new water, more food or wants to go somewhere like outside to watch the airplanes. He hardly ever screams. Its only at night is when he raises his voice and thats how I know its his bed time.

I thought the transition would be difficult due to him being so neglected but its like he didn't skip a beat. I still have a lot to learn and it won't always be perfect but I'm so beyond happy to have him home and he can be free all day, every day. If I'm lucky, I can spend at least 20 years with him together and can get his feathers to grow back. I finally feel complete ❤️

I've been suffering through this for 10 years now. I used to eat somewhat normally but I got really sick and made eating and drinking excruciatingly painful for 2 months. So I stopped eating. Lost 25 lbs in 2 weeks. I got better but my appetite didn't. It steadily got worse until I was 80 lbs. I realized I needed to make a change. Started going to therapy and slowly gaining the weight back but still have this deep hatred for food.

I hate the act of eating. Its worse than a chore for me. I've tried force feeding myself but it always comes back up. I got pregnant and I got to experience the love for food again. Gained 60 lbs. Then when I got home after giving birth, my appetite vanished. Went back to barely eating for weeks. Lost all the weight in 3 months.

I was able to maintain a stable weight for about a year and a half. I was still struggling to eat but I was consistently getting plenty of food in me throughout the day.

But now I'm scared its all catching up to me. Four months ago I started having colitis thats been making eating more difficult. I'm waiting to get tested to find the cause but here's where I am now. I can't eat anything. I've had to go back to living off of Ensures to sustain me and I'm steadily dropping weight again. I'm already getting close to being severely underweight. I just want to cry. I want to love food and feel energized but now its hard to even get off the couch.

I just feel so helpless. My brain wants to eat but my stomach won't let me and I'm getting so tired of living this way. I only have a handful of safe foods and I can't eat any of them right now. I'm scared I'm destroying my body and I can't stop it.

I just needed to get this off my chest
