hello, it is my baby Sauron's 5th birthday in an hour, and he would like to see all canine friends attending his birthday party 🥹

a spicebush swallowtail kept flying around my backyard today. All thanks to my dogs peeing everywhere and killing my grass 🙏

need help in identifying the sex of my newly eclosed 5 spotted hawk moth, i can never tell with these guys i swear. after 3 other eclosed, i was sure they were male, but all ended up laying eggs 🫠

I installed a birdfeeder just above my backyard door a few months ago. Cardinals, red winged black birds, and other round flying objects stopped by for a little snack break here and there

The mixture of seeds contains about what I think is 20% to 30% sunflower seeds, and i looked outside to check and it has grown tall as hell. I'm assuming the actual flower is going to grow within that center part now? I have no clue how long its going to take, but I just thought it was pretty cool and funny since the last time I planted sunflower seeds was 2 years ago, and an entire meter away from where this one is growing. Thank you bird friends

I'm new to north carolina as well as Ashveille as a whole, and have spent the past week in the Appalachian mountains. A few days ago, me and a few friends went to an ingles (hard to say which) and one of their employees came up to me and started talking to me about my shirt. I was wearing a Hybrid Theory shirt at the time and we were chatting for a while until I had to continue shopping.

If anyone knows him or also listens to LP or other similar music genres, or is into insects as well as wildlife, or really just would like to be friends, i am here! I am heading back down to florida and coming back up to asheville later this year once more, so I would like to keep in touch if I ever make a friend here!

i am in the appalachian mountains on vacation, and it is my first time seeing one of my favorite moths, as well as other cute and cool insects :') the katydid kept getting stuck inside our airbnb and the little guy latched on to my camouflage pants for a ride out
