Furniture shops south Birmingham?

I am looking for either good charity shops or those warehouse /discounted Asian furniture shops. Where I can buy wardrobes or chest of drawers already assembled and they are usually cheaper as well.

Any recommendations? So many on Google but don't know which ones worth visiting tomorrow.

Edgbaston/ Kings heath/ Moseley or even strictly/kings Norton way.

Planning a solo trip, recommendations

I am 40F and visited Barbados solo last year and next year I think I am looking at st Lucia.

How easy it is to get around the island?

I do want to check out the Gros Islet Friday night street party and I like history, architecture and see as much of the culture as possible so where would it be best to stay?

All inclusive or Airbnb best? I am an explorer, I am out in the morning and not back to my hotel till the evening but all inclusive covers my food so don't have to worry about it.

But how expensive is to eat in places? I am not a picky eater and love trying local dishes.

What is the best time to visit? I like busy but not too busy periods. Is the carnival worth visiting maybe?

How is the sargassum? Barbados had it quite bad last year.

Thanks for any recommendations or suggestions.

Job vacancy for Severn trent

Here is a link for jetvac operators, they want a class 2 driver and they do like new pass drivers too due to having less bad habits.

Also it does say they want experience in jetvac however, that is not a must either. As long as they see you can stick to a place for longer, you have no points or endorsements you get a chance.

Just putting it out there for any new pass or anyone struggling to find work. You are not losing anything by applying.

Its a good place to work in.

Drive up a STEEEEP hill

EDIT: I DONE IT🙃 IT WAS MUCH WORSE GOING DOWNHILL IN A VAN IN IT SO THATS WHY I WAS PANICKING A BIT....FOOT DOWN AND THE TRUCK DID ITS JOB. BUT OF COURSE A BMW SUV HAD TO COME AROUND THE BEND ON TOP OF THE HILL AND HE DIDNT REALLY WANT TO STOP BUT I KNOW I AM NOT STOPPING EITHER ON A UPHILL BEND🙃. I WON

I drive a Scania tanker. Automatic. And I have a very very steep hill to drive up on probably fully loaded. Havent had a steep hill like this yet to drive up on since I passed. One lane country road.

So do I just gain speed before hitting the uphill and pray no car is coming to make me slow down and lose speed?

Do I put it into manual and use low gears to go up?

Just need some tricks please, don't feel like calling my manager to stay I'm stuck at a bottom of a hill🙃🙃.

Picture doesn't really do justice to show the incline.

Málaga as a solo female traveller 10/10

I just had a short 5 day trip to Málaga. I wanted history, architecture and a base to have easy public transport travel from.

It is very safe, people leave you be, maybe they stare a bit but not as bad as in Germany. No pushy sales either.

Public transport is easy to get around with, high speed trains to many gorgeous cities. I did change my mind about visiting Cordoba cause of the heat warning they had in place also because the main attraction I wanted to see was closed.

The water is clean outside of Málaga ,in Málaga you can get a day where it's a bit dirtier and has rubbish floating, other days it's nice.

The beach is safe, the sellers on the beach are not pushy , a polite no thank you and they leave you be.

I never stay out past 10 pm on my solo travels but if you stay in well lit areas and busy bars you would be fine.

General , common sense safety applies but all in all it was a good trip and would definitely go back when it's a bit cooler to discover Cordoba and Granada. Málaga recommended as a solo female traveller

Panicking cause of these emails

I booked a holiday to Málaga, for some reason Lastminute booked the flights separately. I have 2 different booking references for the flights from Birmingham and back.

Anyways today I got this email, what is this? I am a fully legal , settles status EU citizen living in the UK.

Do I need to call ryanair? Do I need to get this ETA thing? I am not short visiting, I am coming home from my holiday. All this makes me so anxious now that I won't be let back in when all my details are correct.

Are there any trousers out there that won't bake you in the summer??

So there are some hot days coming up and I hate this humid heat , can't stand it.

First time I will be working and sometimes it just means sitting for hours waiting to pump out of a well or pumpstations.

I hate the high Vis trousers work gave me, horrible hard material. I got a pair of combat trousers that are a little bit better but they are still thick and just hot.

Any lightweight trousers out there that are better for hot days or you guys just put up with it??

Answers from fellow ladies would be appreciated but take suggestions from guys too.

WIBTA if I leave my new relationship due to his withdrawal cause he's stressed?

I am 40 he is 38. We met in January. We talked every day, through the day. Sometimes deep conversations sometimes just a check in. Sometimes it took 6 hours to reply, sometimes one hour. It was fine.

He was re assuring, he was not dismissive, he planned when he wanted to see me next, he seemed interested in me and he said he found me interesting and all that. We were together.

My only thing was I really wished to have more dates.

He left his job to learn to become a plumber and used his savings. He said this week he had some money taken from his account so he was really stressed about his bills. I offered to help him get his money back I didn't offer to give him money cause we met in January and I'm not a fool. Lol

He went into cold, emotionless one a day, one line texts. I told him he can't focus on me I understand I leave him he but I'm here. All he said is "thanks". That pissed me off so a day later I asked him to give me clarity if he don't have the capacity right now for us then just tell me.

He said he don't appreciates this pressure and he will talk to me when he can. Total dismissal.

This ALWAYS happens to me. I'm dating someone, they get stressed, they ghost me, weeks/months /or even a year later they try to come back " I had a lot going on" .

I do like this guy but I just cannot accept this withdrawal cause I know what this means. I am getting ghosted and left after everything he was saying to me.

My friends are saying to give him grace and to stop leaving men when things get a bit hard. But people choose who they keep in contact with no matter the stress or troubles. I don't leave cause things are hard, I leave because I cannot accept the whole let me withdraw cause I am stressed excuse then having the audacity to try come back like nothing happened

My friends say I am an dismissive avoidant and I have no room for error. They don't understand how many times this happened to me already and I cannot build back the same level of intimacy and commitment after this.

Would I be an asshole for leaving a man when he's down or am I protecting myself as I should? .

Hey all,

I am having a short break in Málaga, from a Monday morning till Friday afternoon.

So 2.5 days in Málaga with Monday afternoon counting. Probably landing, get to my hotel, leave my luggage and have a short walk around the old city as hotel is nearby. Go back, check in then probs check out the beach and area , find dinner around 8pm...if not that's too early, let me know🙃. Want to find a local place with local food , not too touristy.

Then Tuesday I want to travel for a day to Cordoba or maybe Seville.

I love architecture, history, museums, palaces, castles. Easily walkable, not too much need for public transport. Maybe a nice park to rest.

So I know Seville is bigger and I don't like to rush. Cordoba is a pretty town from what I've seen online and doable in a day.

Are there any other towns I should visit maybe? Or which one out of the 2?

Wednesday, Thursday to stay in Málaga, little bit of beach and a lot of walking and sightseeing 🌞.

Thanks for suggestions.

Hi All,

Anyone struggled to connect their watch 7 to Google pixel 10? I did all the fixes Gemini told me to. It was telling me to get into the developer option of the pixel. I can't even do that. Because the About phone THEN Android version THEN BUILD VERSION option are greyed out. So I cannot tap on it to activate the developer system. So I am stuck. I got the phone today, any other Bluetooth devices like my car connects fine. Anyone had this particular problem?
