Is this normal or is this scammy?

I've applied for a couple of things on Casting Callback and whilst it's generally better than Mandy, occasionally stuff like this comes back. Is this just a hustle or is it genuine? I could be misreading it but it almost gives me "we can't give you a part, but we can give you a link to our crowdfunder" vibes.

Good Thai pad/focus mit drills for intermediate/advanced

Hey guys,

I've been training Muay Thai for years (off and on since I was 19, but I'm now 39). I have been training with my friend who has fought amateur a few times and is a real student of boxing, MMA and Muay Thai. He loves watching clips and breaking stuff down and likes to do pad drills mixing in defence and evasive manoeuvres.

We'll usually do 3 rounds focus pads, 3 rounds Thai pads.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend any drills for boxing and Thai pads. Videos would be great if you can think of any.

I want to give my friend better sessions

Where Have the Homeless been Moved to?

This seems like an odd question, but I work in Fountain Street, which connected to Castle Street is a bit of a hot spot for the homeless. However, the usual spots where homeless people appear to congregate including Castle Street, end of High Street and near Castlecourt are all quiet. It's as if they've all been hidden away somewhere. Removed from sight for those coming to the Fleadh.

I could be completely wrong but have the police/council shifted the problem elsewhere or temporarily housed/provided support for the homeless? Is this not an obvious sign that those suffering from addiction and homelessness could actually be helped - that there's a more fitting long term solution?

How do I get good?

Hey guys, a few years ago I took a short Audio-Visual Post Production course at a local university. I did some editing on the course but after that haven't really done much or picked it up. I was wondering - what's the best way to get good? I want to do more short form content and even work that's commercially viable, but I'd also like to learn proper film editing. I was wondering if there are any courses or qualifications worth working towards

Here's a reel I made:

Seige of Dragonspear EXP into BGII

I'm sure this may have been asked before in some capacity, but I can't seem to find anything on it, so if someone can fill me in that would be great.

If I play through BGI as a fighter, get to level 8 then dual class as mage and play through SOAD, can I get enough exp to gain fighter abilities back? If I export into BGII, will I still be of the same class/abilities or will BGII cap my exp at the start?

Trait and The Pocket

Anyone any idea why these fairly middle of the road coffee places had their windows smashed? Drunken vandalism? Protection money issues? Racism (this one would be stranger because the staff are from my experience majority white - not that racism does or should ever make sense)

Just seems a bit weird hipster cafes in city center are getting windows put through.

Does anyone else find Preply advertises you to yourself?

A few months ago, I started a profile as an ESL teacher on Preply.

Since then, I've had no students. I have had some prospecting students, who either ghost me or block me when I send an introductory message. In my message I usually thank the student or showing an interest and ask them about their goals. After this, the student becomes inactive, so I assume they've either blocked me or deleted their account.

I suspect my lack of progress getting students comes from my accent. Whilst I try and neutralize it, it is still Northern Irish. Nice for a lot of existing English speakers (I get hired as a voiceover artist), but perhaps a little daunting for potential students.

Despite all this, Preply's advertisements on Reddit pop up constantly whilst I'm scrolling through different threads. The advertisement shows one person's face - my own.

So I am wondering - am I the only person who experiences this? I'm assuming it is cookie based, rather than Preply really trying to push my profile. I'd love to know though.

Stupidly failed to cancel on time

I've got a few contracts (one for my mum's house, one for mine, one for my mum's rental and one for a shared office). I was totally on top of the last contract but on my mum's house I forgot about it and let it overrun. Got hit with a bill around £84

I've cancelled it and ignored the initial poor offers but I have been probing Fibrus for a better deal, hoping it prompts Virgin to give me a better deal. Any chance Virgin will ring me and offer me something better? If they gave me the deal with an O2 card I'd take it. Or do I need to go further with the switching to get Virgin to give me a good deal?

What's with the guy in the black car driving around station road all day blasting music?

Hey guys, I'm not in Reading for long but just have been sitting on the junction of station road and Queen Victoria street and this guy keeps driving around in a black car blasting music. I asked the barmaid of where I'm at and she said he did it all yesterday.

What's his game plan? Is he dealing? Surely that's attracting far too much attention acting like he's an ice cream van.

Best fights in audio drama?

Hey guys, I'm trying to write an audio drama - or convert an episodic short film series scripts to audio drama and many of them contain hand to hand fights. I'm needing some inspiration and was wondering if anyone can make any recommendations of audio dramas that do fights well?

Edit: guess I have to listen to Last Dance again.. good thing it's made in my country by a ton of people I've ever drank with or worked with! Thanks!

Where's everyone going on the glider today?

I've seen multiple gliders heading towards Dondonald that are completely full today. What's everyone heading to? Is it the Red bull Soap box thing?

Entry level Civil Service - Recruitment Co or NICS?

Both Recruitment Co and NICS appear to be hiring civil service staff.

I was wondering if anyone has any insight as to what would be the most favourable experience between the two for someone entering on the lowest level? By that, I'm asking - which pays better, has the best environment, the best work/life balance, the best stability and any other benefits.

I know it's a pretty broad question, but if you have any insight, it'd be appreciated.

So I've trained Muay Thai off and on for two decades, but I'm creeping up in age and with that, need to make some adjustments to my diet and routine to lose weight and stay in shape.

I'm 6'3 and about 105 kg. I typically train 3-4 times a week, mostly bag work and some weights but I don't have any real idea of what I should be doing weights-wise. I tend to do machine weights more because I'm lazy when it comes to learning free weight technique. I'll do lat pull downs, pec deck, shoulder press, bench press, lat row pull machines. Is there any I'm missing or should be doing more/less?

I want to be better at Muay Thai techniques and will get in the habit of going back to classes more often but I also want to be more toned. Would be great to be superhero shape.
