Declaration as a New Student

hello! i'm a gap year student and currently applying as an undergraduate in DLSU. however, i don't know how i'll fill up the Declaration as a New Student form. ano pong ilalagay sa Month/Year and Activity? wala naman akong significant na ginagawa pa like work, travel, or anything. all i've done is tumulong sa bahay, nag-procrastinate mag-review for cets, at nag-review for cets. thank you very much.

kaya ba ang acads-work-social-org-life-balance sa college?

hello! mag-ccollege na 'ko next year, and i was wondering kung kaya ba ang pag-aim sa running for dean's lister/magna/summa cum laude nang may trabaho, organization, social, and life balance?

aiming kasi ako sa abovementioned latin honors while also planning na magka-sideline for funds (not sure yet kung ano, most likely freelancing), org. (journalism), and outside acads life (hobbies, gala, etc.). balak ko ring mag-dorm, so (hopefully) mas marami akong time sa sarili ko.

would love your honest opinions and suggestions on this, thank you in advance!

drop the best senku, xeno, and sai anime/icon photos for my wall!

i'm thinking of printing them on photo paper and taping them on my wall. it'll be like a mini shrine and motivation for studying science, math, or programming---maybe even studying in general.

Starting to invest at 19

I'm 19F and I will start college next year. I don't have consistent income yet, so I can't do monthly investing (DCA). I would like to add that my only growing/compounding savings is my savings account in Maya. And I do have an emergency fund, but I think it hasn't reached much yet (it's in a piggy bank).

Today, I just downloaded GoTrade and deposited only a few for now. I'm new to investing. I'd like to know what amount and stock is best to invest in for starters from local perspectives.

Anyways, I'll be learning about investments and stocks sometime soon. Any tips or advice in general would be greatly appreciated. I'll also be reading the FAQ as well. Thank you in advance!

19F, 4'5 ft., 81.6 lbs; advice for a body recomp

i'm aiming for a body recomposition pero hindi ko alam kung paano. healthy naman weight ko sa height ko, kaso kulang ako sa muscle, kaya recomp. lang aim ko. i am entirely new sa pag-wworkout, so i don't know where to begin, lol. my goal is to lose fat, get lean and tone up, and get stronger.

wala akong access sa gym since walang malapit sa 'min. i also currently own a pair of 2kg dumbbells i bought online, no other equipment. pa-suggest po ng workout/exercises that i can do at home.

calorie deficit/maintenance, intermittent fasting, or any diet/nutrition tips (on a budget) would be great. although, kinakain ko lang kung anong niluluto ni mama o kung anong available (usually canned food, cold cuts, and more kung walang lutong ulam). siguro babawasan ko na lang ang pagkain ko sa processed food at kanin, and maybe dagdagan ng boiled eggs for protein? not sure yet, haha.

i would highly appreciate any tips or advice. thanks! (spoiled kasi nahihiya ako, hehe)

seeking height recommendations

my consistent measured height has always been 4'5/4'6, and i'm already 19(F).. my most recent measurements are shown in the image.

please, suggest extremely effective grow taller already-made subs or affirmations for me to make my own sub, i want to be at least 5'0.

i'm getting desperate and hopeless. i've tried listening to height subs before, but i'm inconsistent because i just think it won't work and feel miserable about it. i just want to get taller to reach more stuff, see more stuff, and pass the height requirement for amusement rides :(

Saan makahahanap ng information sa public officials of Biñan and the barangay I live in?

Hello! I'm a first time voter and the November elections are coming up. I was wondering how to find information (like credentials) about those in the current positions and those who will run? I don't know the people here in Biñan, and I want to vote for those who will make Biñan and my barangay better.

I also don't like political dynasties. I've read that Alontes comes from a political dynasty, and that the current mayor's leadership is not very good.

Post flair will be changed if mali siya. Thank you!

how do i fix my ring and little toe, both feet?

my toes and toenails already look and grow weird, but especially my ring and pinky ones. my nails have always grown like that since i can remember. they barely grow normally. why are they like this and how do i fix them? are these ingrown or something else? should i go to a podiatrist?

how do i maintain focus, be disciplined of timers, and not be sleepy while studying?

today, i woke up at 5 a.m.—which i don't usually do and i actually have a messed up sleep schedule i'm trying to fix—to start studying. by the way, i slept at around 9:20 p.m.

i got up, tried the pomodoro technique (45/10), and completed the first 45 minutes.

however, while studying, i kept thinking "i'm sleepy" and felt my eyes closing. afterwards, while it was break time, i went to reddit and did some other stuff. after the break time timer was supposedly going to go off, i paused it and said "just a few more minutes" and searched about stuff on reddit.

probably 30 minutes later, i went back to studying. guess what? i was still sleepy. i did a few minutes, then shut down my laptop. i went to take a "nap", and before i knew it, i woke up at 11 a.m.

i've tried drinking cold water, splashing my face with water, and did some moving—yet, i was still sleepy.

any advice, please? i need to start studying since i have an entrance exam in 65 days😭

Is studying 5 hours of Math from scratch for 4 consecutive days a week good for an exam in 12 weeks?

Hello, I’m 19 and I have considered math as my weakest subject since grade school. It's the only subject I barely passed just to survive. I don't have a strong foundation since I couldn’t keep up at school and nobody was willing to teach me at home, or even pay for a tutor. The mindset of my family being stupid or weak at math was ingrained in me for a long time, and I want to change that now.

Also, I have a college entrance exam on August 1 or 2, and I plan to study math from the basics starting tomorrow. I don’t know if my plan of studying for 5 hours for 4 days a week is okay, since I am allocating the other 3 days for the other subjects in the entrance exam.

For reference, I tried mentally subtracting and vertically multiplying on paper—it’s honestly doomed. I needed fingers to subtract, and I forgot to do 2-digit+ vertical multiplication. I haven’t even tried division yet. 💀

So yeah, I plan to learn perhaps until 10th grade math. I will be using Khan Academy, Professor Dave Explains, and other resources found on YouTube and websites.

Are there any suggestions, feedback, or critique for this 5 hours, 4 days a week plan?

art critique

i genuinely don't know what i'm doing with the hair anymore. note: the lighting is above.

i've been procrastinating rendering this for such a long time because i don't know what to do. should i continue this? should i first learn color theory, grayscale, lighting, or what before finishing this? is what i am doing even correct? if incorrect, kindly red line or critique.

i don't have a definite art style that i can call mine yet, and it's been years since i did proper art. this specific art was started back in september 2021, and i stopped with line art in december 2022. i only picked this up recently because i finally got back into art and is finally investing time to it.

i do have some art styles that i want to replicate and make my own, but i don't know how to do it. sigh, where do i even start?
