Kind of crazy that there would even be a countdown clock at all if this necessary check wasn't yet passed...? IDK, but the community seems to be reeling and theorizing as to what the heck happened here...will this affect the reception of the game long term?

I wouldn't say it happens repeatedly but it does seem to be a chronic issue I experience 1-2 times now per VR session.

it just beeps furiously at me and says the headset is overheating and will shutdown momentarily.

it does and I have to wait for it to shutdown and then wait for it to boot back up and continue playing...

it's super annoying but... on a whim hoping there's a possible way to address this..

for the record I do not play it in a heated environment. I have central AC and the house is always pretty chilled (70-75f depending on season)

I think when it comes to the E. Jean Carrol case, you will almost universally get a resounding "meh" from conservatives (if they even know about it). Usually they will say that it's just a civil case, so it doesn't matter, he didn't commit a crime. The standards of evidence are low, so this is just grifter trying to take his money, etc.

I'm just a little confused about this. I would think being "liable" for someone's sexual abuse would be a pretty bad thing, but I guess it's not that big of a deal to almost his entire voter base? This perplexes me a little bit.

We are made to understand that they are essentially the multiversal immune system and they seem to dislike usage of the conduit. They hone in on Void and everything Ares even once Void is gone and banished, leading to the destruction of Earth and the events of X.

The thing that doesn't sit right with me though is that clearly Klaus was up to some conduit shenanigans. He built a super computer to harness it and I assume this didn't happen overnight, with the Zohar in their possession for I would assume a decent amount of time as they studied and developed the Trinity Processor.

So why didn't the Ghosts go after the Trinity Processor?

The only explanation is that the Ghosts had a particular directive in regards to the Ares Prime utilizing the Zohar specifically, but I just don't see why it is any more dangerous to the multiverse than the Trinity Processor using the Conduit would potentially be...and proved to be once the Klaus event happened...

So why the favoritism here? These two things didn't happen at the same time, so the Ghosts went zerk over the Ares Prime but...I guess they just didnt care about the development of the Trinity Processor...?

Kinda seems like an oversight.

The only other explanation is if the Fog is meant to be 1-3's representation of Ghosts...which I guess is fine but that's all I can think of.

I can understand the idea of "not supporting genocide", but I think it's a blatant fact that she would not have plunged the country in to economic crisis through worldwide tariffs nor started a war with Iran where we've seen plentiful death and destruction.

Even if I grant that Kamala and Trump had "the same" position on Gaza (when it still existed), in addition to Gaza being destroyed, we also get all the other horrific aspects of Trump's administration.

Therefore isn't it truly immoral to maintain the idea that voting for Kamala was akin to some kind of immoral choice, when really she was truly the only morally sound option at this juncture?

I've been using VD for a while now because at the time I switched from Steamlink it basically had a ton of things Steamlink didn't in terms of options, and it was just visually much crispier due to the advanced resolution options.

Lately I've been hearing from a handful of people that Steamlink has now somehow transformed into the Alpha, but I don't really feel like going through testing it in-depth before I field a few opinions from people who may have either changed over from VD or may even have a deeper understanding of what has changed in the last year that seems to have people so inclined to now say it's better than VD.

So what gives?

Just curious where all of your heads are at on this upcoming product.

My initial thoughts are that it would be a sidegrade with more pros than cons, except for the fact I lose native face tracking, which unfortunately is a non-negotiable loss anymore.

I could just get or make a babble, but I appreciate the native no-frills aspect of it in Quest Pro and don't feel the value of the Steam Frame over the Qpro justifies an entire HMD purchase.

As an FYI, I was not the driver and so I do lack full spatial context and awareness of the scene outside of the dashcam footage.

Driver says it came out of nowhere, that they blended in with the "bushes". I argued that they were pretty visible in the divider beforehand and slowing down would have been advised, and not doing so indicated low awareness or not paying attention.

What do you think?
