One of my friends got his hands on the armageddon box and bought the ork half again from another friend - from what I can tell the boyz have the same base size as the ardboyz, the bigboss/warboss have the same base size as the ardboy bigboss, the weirdboy can be used as a shaman but there's no good place to use the gretchins, painboys, bannernobs or the vehicles.

So using only 2x the armageddon box, a bigboss leading 2x reinforced ardboyz and 2 individual shamans would get about 950pts... or are there other proxys I'm not realising that can be made?

I recently finished listening to wardens of the everqueen and plague garden and I know that the hallowed knights have a silver and azure colour scheme, but the box art for gardus has him in the hammerhands gold and blue colours.

I decided I want my named heroes to use lore friendly/official colour schemes but gardus seems to have 2 conflicting schemes, maybe I'm mistaken, but if I'm not, which would be the official gardus colour scheme?

I have a list for the following:

Generals regiment:

Krondys

Gardus

Praetors (for krondys)

Regiment 1:

Naeve blacktalon

Lorai

Naeve's companions

Regiment 2:

Karazai

Praetors (for karazai)

Then gotrek guurnisson as a regiment of renown

And adding a stormreach portal for an extra 20 points for a total of 1960 points

I know it won't be very competitive, but I was wondering if anyone tried a similar hero-heavy list and whether it was fun to play as

so every now and then I proxy some units - eg vindictors as stand-ins for the vanquishers in yndrasta's spearhead and a mortisan boneshaper instead of a soulreaper in the tithe-reaper eschelon spearhead sets

but what if i wanted to make a CoS dwarf spearhead by proxying some units from the old world dwarf factions with the CoS spearhead "castelite company"

taking ironbreakers in place of steelhelms,

miner carts instead of cavaliers (possibly placing some miners inside the carts)

either the bugman's cart or the dwarf lrods with shield bearers instead of the cavelier marshal (leaning toward the bugman but the idea of dwarves carrying their lord and going the speed of a warhorse is hilarious to me)

and the organ guns instead of the ironweld great cannon

again, ensuring the base sizes are done properly, and its all Games Workshop plastic - would this still be too much proxying or would it be valid to use?

I'm thinking of getting these eventually (alongside possibly the nexus siphon and stormreach portal) and I really like the paint scheme on the box, so if anyone can give advice on how to get a similar effect, I'd really appreciate it
