Mama mallard and four chicks made a home in a disused clarifier earlier this summer. Four became one, then we didn't see any for several weeks. Pumped the rainwater out thinking the last one died and mama had left. Lo and behold, the chick is still alive and growing fast.
Pulled these out of the scum baffle on a secondary clarifier. They found a happy spot between the weir and the covers. Thought they were onions or cattails at first but Google image search says Yellow Flag Iris.
My surplus store just went out of business (RIP) However I was able to buy a few things previously way out of my budget, this suit included. It came as a set with the Russian pilots cap. Thank you for the help!
